What i love about these new super light E Bikes is, as your video clearly shows, you can ride them in tight spaces and quiet places where you just would not ride a conventional motorbike or even electric motorcycle (unless of course you are James Bond shooting the opening scene :)

Lack of power? If you have the second shipment of the bike, you may have to cut a wire. The first batch didn't need to, but there's definitely a ton of power on these things!

Hey bro, sweet video yet again! My i totally agree with you on all of these issues. I haven't noticed the rear suspension bushing, but I also had extremely tight bolts (also noticed mounds of locktight on them tho... lol) & some loose. My front forks also started sticking, so I may try that method, but I do plan on putting 65cc dirtbike forks on it so it can handle jumps better.

    • @OregonMotorcycle

Yeah so look into the KX 85 front end. Talked to a guy in Portland who just got his. Another shop said cut the BS and go straight to this set up. Pretty much a direct bolt on. But adds 15-20 lbs. pretty sure I’ll be looking into this after a power upgrade. My fiancé also wants to buy one, but we’re trying to get a house too;). She said she’ll buy one with the better fork and give it to me. Maybe that’ll happen this year, not sure tho.

Oh yeah I did the shock mod (3/4” socket) and I use the fork oil. Seems to help a lil bit. I’m also trying to find out if these shocks have foam wipers inside. That’s supposed to really help too.

@@OregonMotorcycle that would be so badass. I was thinking the 65 shocks to get rid of some of that extra weight up front & so it wasn't as tall, but maybe it would be worth it. My quick first impressions of the Talaria
-I'm not noticing any issue yet with the rear shock bushing so not sure if they updated that or just lucky.
-Seems to be lots of grease spilling out around the neck bearings as well but we will see once I open it up.
-The rear peg mount hole has changed at least on my batch of bike - so the current gritshift peg brace doesn't fit without a bit of modification.
-Battery box will have to be modified to keep the battery from shifting around.
-The front fender shipped with DNM fork is actually a decent fender with some coverage so at least theres that.
-Throttle doesn't feel as smooth as the surron, and I'm not just talking about power delivery I just mean it almost feels cheap in construction compared to the surron. Hopefully theres some options for that soon, unless again its just luck of the draw.
-Fit and finish other than the throttle/start button housing is on par or above the surron.
-Feels like a bigger bike than the surron - wider and a bit taller.
-Last and I would say the thing I hate most about the Talaria is the seating position. You'd think they would have changed it but the angle is brutal. The surron suffers from this as well but not as bad. I stand 90% of the time anyway so it's not a huge deal but the angle of the seat is so ridiculous with stock fork/19" front tire. If you look at all the modern mx bikes you'll see the flatter the seat the better. Interesting design for sure.
Anyone considering buying one of these though set your expectations accordingly. I knew what I was buying having a surron in the past. These are still Chinese quality bikes. I love mine, but just know if you are coming from the motocross/motorcycle space these are not full out dirtbikes and will require a good amount of $ to hold up like one if used the same way.

@@OregonMotorcycle That means you've been going over a lot of bumps, so if you wanna save your ass some pain then lower your tire pressure. I'm assuming if you own a Surron then you bought the Luna seat with the white stitching and if you own the Talaria your seat should be good enough but you'll still need to reduce the PSI to 22-28, depending on your tires and feel what works for you. The more you lower it the more it'll reduce your rolling distance and add more cushion. When I had 22+ psi I felt my shinko 244 tires mold to the surface instead of giving me a jolt and it's supposedly safer for the tubes so you'll avoid an air leak. My friend got a new Surron and took it off-roading once, got a slow leak in the tube without any puncture to the tire. I assume he had 28+ psi since it was new so that's always bad for off-roading, it also reduces your grip since it doesn't mold itself at all to the surface with a high psi. Results may vary depending on your tire rubber rigidity, width, weight etc... and with these bikes your only options are STOCK, SHINKO 241, SHINKO 244 and a few other similar tires. Every tire feels different because of the criteria's I mentioned.
Extra tip: You can stand or use your legs to lift your weight before hitting bumps to avoid chafing and stand once in a while to give yourself a break.
Note: If you sit down and feel your butt burning then you'll need 1-2 days to let your skin heal so don't expect this to heal you but after I lowered my PSI I didn't feel anymore burning.
