- NOTE: I forgot to adjust the gear ratio on the dash, so the gearbox was set on the highest gear setting (which made the range worse) Range was just under 40 miles (64.3Km) on this charge

I cant wait to see you race this thing..!! Another great video. Cheers from Australia.
In short term words he got 40 miles on an average 20-35 mph speed with slight top outs to 40-43 mph for bursts of 2 to 3 minutes overall a great range
In the UK we use miles🤣 KM is used in Europe but its a pretty good measurement when driving to be fare. We still measure everything in M, CM and MM for obvious reasons. It's way more accurate and easier than trying to calculate 3/16th of an inch for example. I bet every nut and bolt on that bike is in metric aswell. Keep the content coming
I never said I was smart 🤓
everything on cars and trucks have been metric too since 1998-2002
its in Canada that we use km lol 🤣
Jumped on here to get more info about these bikes after seeing one cruise by me the other day, turns out it was you!
Small world 😂
Thanks for doing this. I guess it's bad for the battery to run it dead but I bet it has a built in limiter to protect the battery from damage. Didn't know the sur-ron moto wheelset would fit the Talaria. I thought the stock sprocket is 48 tooth and the moto sprocket 42 tooth?
Hi what’s the best bars to fit aftermarket for this I have one but want to change them 31.8 fits tye surrons but I don’t think they so on ours have u any ideals of a good aftermarket bar thanks cool video and I’m taking the rear sensor of mine it won’t stay up ⬆️
Hope they will speed up the production of solid state batteries.
A lot better than my stock Sur Ron was. I would only get about 23-25 miles max, at highest settings.
Great video! Keep them coming super informative. Quick question if u got a second, how tall are you and how much do you weigh?
160lbs 6'1"
I know there is regen setting on the display on Talaria, but what about brake sensors? With Sur-Ron it is possible to disable brake sensors with the brake lever controller programming. Is anything similar possible on Talaria?
im pretty sure if you snip them they don't do anything, i changed my brakes to some hope v3 anyways
good to know i had 76% after 15 miles only using sport mode four times for about 2 mins each time. level 1 regen, alot of baby hills in the south.
Hey bro i have a question how fast is the top speed in eco mode if u know 🙂
@@nicksabyss1739 Eco mode: 28mph going flat and uphill (takes a little bit but it does) and tops out at 30-31mph going down hill.
@@studiotsunami3446 thanks so much i have been looking everywhere for the anwser but only you could tell me it have a fantastic day dude you a legend:D
Nice, thanks for doing this. What hand guards are you running?
JFG RACING Motorcycle Universal Handguards Dirt Bike Hand Guards For ATV Pit Bike off Road Motocross Enduro MX- Black www.amazon.com/dp/B0773DRLKT/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_Q1N9TM3XNTZX7HS170BK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Headlight consumption - 12Wh, so disabling it gives you extra 500 meters range
Wait. Can you do burnouts by holding the front brakes? Or do the sensor block it?
You have to disconnect the brake sensors.
For the supermoto kit, is it just plug n play? No additional spacer or anything needed?
Plug in and play Did work, but you're supposed to have a spacer.
New sub here, You being 6' 1" does it feel higher riding the Talaria as it's 2" taller than Surron? Also what was the 'Irish' music that you played?
Yes it feels taller than the Sur-ron. Here is the song: ua-cam.com/video/QhEeSef8owY/v-deo.html
Can tha Talaria accept custom barttery packs made easily or there is some protection/CAN etc in the battery?
If that pack do DC then yes. It can use afternart packs
@@electricisbetter My current ebike has a CANbus connected to battery and cannot charge or replace, very tricky stuff :(
As I see the Zero FX has more range and better for longer range endure experience :) bit pricy :)
According to the Talaria Error code sheet error 38 means: "Over voltage protection error: When the voltage of the battery is equal or greater than the protection value, the over voltage protection will run automatically." with the solution: "Please use Talaria's stock charger to charge the battery.", so guess it makes sense. Even though I thought UNDER voltage protection would have made more sense?
I do think they couldve put a bigger battery in here. So much more room in his bikes. Easy 72v
Hey I'm having a problem with my regeneration, it doesn't seem to be any different regardless of setting. Have you heard of this ?? Thanks
Regen isnt in settings, it's on the same page as the speedometer. There should be a little number at the bottom of the speedometer screen that you can change from 1-4 using the arrows on the dash. That's the Regen.
@@electricisbetter yes lol I'm aware of that. I'm saying regardless of regen level there isn't a difference. It doesn't seem to work
@@newleaseonlife2601 it also work work in ep mode, but I doubt that's your problem then. No, I haven't heard of the Regen just not working. I would contract Ebikezilla and present your issue with them. They are very quick to respond and Ive never had a question about the bike they couldn't answer.
@@newleaseonlife2601 it won't work above 90% battery either
Where was that when you said it was the mississippi river??
Le LeClaire, ia
I ride in 10 below and the battery still gets warm on my ebike. so cold doesn't effect batteries, especially when dumping 50amps. The actual problem with ebikes is the battery and motor get too hot and thermal throttle. When people say cold kills batteries they are talking about old school Lead Acid car batteries that are designed to be continually charged. Lithium Ion's don't have this problem. But I'm probably wrong.
youre not wrong completely but cold does affect the electrons passing through the chemicals if temps are too low but when youre running higher voltage isnt an issue when you start riding. range is just slightly comprimised in cold weather when battery sits yes.
You're pretty wrong we used to have to tape hand warmers to batteries on airsoft guns in winter games. Drastically effects all batteries but heat also is very bad
@@jak3est wow! So hardcore. Save some tail for the rest of us guys.
The original sprocket is a 44T - you made quite a jump to a 32. With Supermoto tires and a top end sprocket? this is not a true test.

How do you turn off light ?
Headlight switch
What mirrors are those ? Cool vid

Larger sprocket for more range?
That would have helped, yes
The talaria came with a 48t sprocket no?
44
Where did you get those mirrors from?
Amazon.
@@electricisbetter Could you link them? Also, how do you like the Sur Ron Supermoto wheels on The Talaria Sting?

They work fine. They do need a spacer on the Sting because the Talaria is about an inch wider.
Cool vid. Sur Ron or Talaria?
Can't make that call untill i take her on some real trails, But Talaria is looking 👌
What wheels are you rocking?
They are 16" rear & front. Its a street kid made for the surron. Fits the Talaria with rear wheel spacer
What was the battery capacity?
60v 38ah
I have a Sur-Ron with stock battery and controller with the supermoto wheels and 48 tooth sprocket, 0 regen and I weigh around 200lb. I commute to work with it and the distance is 14 miles one way in speeds between 25-35 miles per hour and I have 63% battery left when I arrive at work location. Was honestly expecting alot better from Talaria because I'm kind of interested on it also.
Why would you expect a lot better from an only marginally bigger battery?
Hmm so how’s the coo situation like feel like I would be getting pulled over constantly
@@Buddhapyro cops don't care buddy stop being scary
hey did you have plates while riding and does it require a motorcycle license to ride on the roads?
No to the plates, yes, technically you need a license. But there is no way to registered it at the moment. Supposedly they're making a street legal version of the bike soon.
@@electricisbetter so your saying its illegal to ride on the road for now?
@@BSABD315 Because there is no way to register it, the DOT (here in Iowa) couldn't give me an answer whether it was illegal or not. It's not technically "illegal" to ride a low power bike like this (at least not here) but it's not 'legal' either. Because you can't register it. Even had a cop stop me on it and say the same thing. Personally if I had a cop stopped me once, I'd stop riding on the road.
You could probably get more out of the battery by doing wheelies all the way there.
Big brain idea
Damn for. 5000 dollar e-bike I better get 150 mile range
40 to 45 miles
Actually less Regen may give better range unless you have plenty of down hills :)
Mmmm I’ll take my dual sport for the same price.
