  • In this installment, we swap the rear gears to a 4.10, diagnose why the speedometer wasn't working, and wrap up ( literally ) all the wiring we did to make this swap work!

    It's coming along nicely. It's all the little things like that loose ground that make me hate wiring.

      Only hard part is when you have to physically get to stuff, or test on one side of the car to the other like here but I actually enjoy it!

    I’m trying to decipher what I can do to make my own stand alone based on what you have done. The 5.0 and 3.7 body harness are identical. I’m using the 3.7 for my old 61 Unibody.

      I think there’s one pin that’s different. But don’t quote me on it.

      @@MattSoppa So far the 3.7 Cyclone 2011-2014 is identical on the body PCM plug to the 5.0L of the same year. Good on Ford for great modularity. Just wish there was options as cheap as LS swaps with this stuff.

    Oh damn, do you perhaps know the part number of those connectors in 20:11 and 20:12. Those look the same as the power connectors for s550 seats.

    This video should be smell-a-vision. So everyone can experience that gear oil smell. Lol

    If I’m using the mt82 with my coyote swap, can I just use the 11-14 cluster or will I still have speedo issues? I can’t find the answer on the internet anywhere

    • @MattSoppa
      @MattSoppa  6 місяців тому +1

      If you’re using my methods no need to do a cluster swap. MT82 will actually be great since you use its trans harness and won’t have to do any trickery with tuning. Www.make-it-modular.com

      The reason I ask is because I like the look of the 11-14 cluster over the 05-09. Wondering will it still work the same if I use it instead. Also will be using the coyote computer from a donor car

      @@seanbaxter3971 no it won’t. Connector is different for starters and a whole other can of worms. Check out a 07-09 GT500 cluster

    Can you get rid of the traction light?

    • @MattSoppa
      @MattSoppa  Рік тому

      No. Systems aren’t compatible between the 05-09 ABS and 11-14 traction control strategy in the ECU

      You can't disable the light in the tune?
