Now If I had money... I'm sure I can manage much better and be much happier. Hypocrites alll these people
F L I do think part of it is poor management of the mind. If I had their millions I would be happy with it as it would give me enough to live comfortably and always be sheltered and well fed, would pay for experiences and my hobbies, get good medical care and I could help the many charities who need help. That would make me very content. I think these celebrities just have their values wrong, that's why they can't be happy as they are placing it on the wrong things. If you place it on momentary pleasures like new cars etc that's surely never going to lead to lasting content.

I don’t think most ppl want to be rich and famous. I think most now just want stability. We are not asking for much.

Yeah ,that's true
And imagine if you suffered all that without having a support and being pushed from the edge
Money doesn’t buy happiness but sure as hell buys security. Buys time. Buys peace of mind. Buys options. Education. Even health, beginning with your diet, your timely check ups, and your cure if you ever need one. These are huge things. Feeling safe with a sense of stability, not having to worry what to give your kids for dinner or the rent, not spending half your evening waiting for the bus cause you can’t afford a car, eating healthy and seeing doctors regularly, playing with your kids carefree and well rested instead of coming home exhausted and stressed and nervous and hungry and cold from work - and then have to do laundry and cleaning..! During the quarantine it became actually annoying seeing all the celebrities saying “stay home”. Of course they were right and did good by saying it, but for Kim Kardashian is easy to stay home to a gorgeous villa with a pool and a chef and 10 nannies. That’s called a luxury holiday where I come from. Money doesn’t buy happiness, but having sooo much of it while others have none, is just not fair. It’s just not fair. If it doesn’t make you happy, please share it. The smiles you’ll get will bring you some of that happiness you craving, I guarantee that.
Until then, please stop trying to glorify and romanticize poverty from your high castle, with the soft music on the background to make it appeal emotional. Or trying to guilt us into thinking poverty is ok. It isn’t.
Jess I agree and I feel you. It’s the system that is wrong, a system that rewards so disproportionately some, but keeps the majority down! I’m not accusing anyone for their earnings. I’m also the person who wouldn’t even turn my head for a celebrity passing by me, but I have to say many of them worked hard their way up and what they do when they get rich and famous is still hard work sometimes. They employ people and often they use their celebrity status and their platform for good causes and try to make a difference. Many deserve success and being paid good money for their work, and I am the person who would wish happiness to everyone. But when you get to 10 million dollars, and you get to 100 million and then a billion... I mean what are you ever gonna do with all that money??? It’s not fair honey! Share it with the people! I know it’s yours to keep if you want to, and that you worked for it, but at that point it’s called hoarding! I’m not saying give it all away, keep a 10 million, keep a 100, but the rest..? What are you ever gonna do with the rest? People are struggling. Gasping for air. Families, mothers, children. It only makes sense. Do some good, bring some balance.
@@MimiDoubleOH3
It's not even about giving money for free, at least pay workers more money and if you own property stop making the rent so high and If you own an electric company stop charging so much for electricity. Use your millions of dollars to influence politics for the better of the working class to give us better health I insurance and to defend workers from being forced to do overtime. Create simple and cheap drive services to take people to their jobs, make it mandatory for every workplace to have paid break times and a minimum of two 30 minute breaks in a day and assured PTO and vacation days.... the corporations have enough money to finally start paying taxes and do all of this and still live the same lavish lifestyle

I'm 53 now. In my younger years, I fantasized about having wealth and in my fantasy, it was always coupled with happiness and joy. At 53, I'm not wealthy but I have had a measure of success. I pretty much have most things that I want and certainly everything I need. Now I clearly see that having money doesn't equate to having happiness. So what if you have a lot of nice things and are very comfortable in this life. If there's no joy in your heart, it's all meaningless. At the end of the day it's just stuff. I'm not saying there's not an amount of pleasure that money and things can provide but pleasure is a far cry from happiness.
Well said
When you say joy what could that be? What makes one feel joy in life? What makes you feel joyful for example?
This is my realization now and I've only just started working and earning money. I have every materialistic thing I want. If I had 1 million dollars more in the bank my life would not change. I would not want more things just because I could buy them. Humans adapt to new baselines of living fast, which is good evolutionarily speaking, to keep striving. It is not very good for maximizing happiness.
@@hector338 So what is it that makes us happy then?
This is the most important message you will ever read because your eternity and salvation depends on your relationship with Lord Jesus Christ.
You will either ignore this message because it tells you the real absolute fixed Truth which goes agaisnt your way of living or
you will get convicted of your trespasses and seek Jesus Christ today which I hope you will.
Dear whoever reads this, I want you to know that I love you and care about you and the thought of you ending up in hell for eternity horrifies me
so please consider reading this message today and reconsidering your way of living.
If you die tonight, do you know where you're going? Did you know that Jesus Christ is THE only way to Heaven and He loves you?
Through Him, God offers you a FREE gift - forgiveness. All you need to do is repent, turn away from your sins and evil ways,
from now on put your faith completely in Jesus Christ and be obedient to Him.
Biblical explanation of the Gospel:
God doesn’t want anybody in hell because He loves us, but you must understand why
we deserve hell and why those who refuse to live under His authority will go
there. (Matthew 12:30) ''Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not
gather with me scatters.'' He gave us the law (Ten Commandments) not to make us righteouss, but
rather to show us our sin (Romans 3:20). God gave us free will and since Adam
sinned in the garden, sin is the nature of our flesh and we ALL have sinned. (Romans 3:23)
The law demands death to those who sin (Romans 6:23).
For someone to be justified before holy God they have to be sinless, that's why everyone need Jesus Christ
for He lived a sinless life.
None of us are good in God’s eyes, because for God good means moral perfection. We all
have broken God’s commandments, we all have sinned in our lives so none of us
are good. ‘’For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is
guilty of breaking all of it.’’ (James 2:10).
Good News is that Jesus Christ lived a perfect, holy, sinless life, Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
He was buried and He was raised from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever
believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.’’ (John 3:16)
We aren’t saved based on our good deeds/works, but only by the grace of God through faith.
''For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God -
not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
He said ‘’it is finished’’ (John 19:30) just before He died on the cross, which means He paid the fine for our sins
(past, present, future) to be forgiven if we repent and trust in Him.
''What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!'' (Romans 6:15)
''Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out'' (Acts 3:19)
Repentance is a turning from sin and all evil works, and it always results in changed behavior (Luke 3:8).
Biblically, a person who repents does not continue willfully in sin.
While sorrow from sin is not equivalent to repentance, it is certainly an element of scriptural repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10).
Do not play a hypocrite. ''God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all.
If we claim to have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.'' (1 John 1:5-6)
If you have repent and have genuine faith in Jesus Christ then you will receive the gift of Holy Spirit and be born-again spiritually.
(John 3:3) Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again."
When you believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance
until the redemption of those who are God’s possession - to the praise of His glory. (Ephesians 1:13-14)
You are born again with the Spirit of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. (John 3:36)
''You will know them by their fruits'' (Matthew 7)
If you have been truly born-again with the Holy Spirit and He has regenerated your heart, you will have new desires -
to do what is good and righteous in God's eyes, to seek God everyday in His Word and prayer, to strengthen your relationship with God.
You will no longer desire to willfully continue living in sin but will want to obey God out of your love for Him because of His amazing grace
revealed to us through the death and resurrection of His Son.
''Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.'' (2 Corinthians 5:17)
''For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.'' (Eph 2:10)
You will have a testimony - of what your life had been before and how has it changed now when you have surrendered it to Lord Jesus Christ.
As a declaration and affirmation of your faith in Jesus Christ, get baptised in water because He commanded us to do so.
In John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.''
''Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit'' (Matthew 28:19)
''Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.'' (Acts 2:41)
''And this water symbolizes the baptism that now saves you also - not the removal of dirt from the body,
but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God - through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,'' (1 Peter 3:21)
''We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that,
just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.'' (Romans 6:4)
''Having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God,
who raised him from the dead.'' (Colossians 2:12)
Please get right with God and start your relationship with Jesus Christ today before it’s too late, because there’s not much time left!
"But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.’’ (Mark 13:32)
Get to know Christ through God's Word - Bible. At first I recommend reading Gospel of John and book of Romans. God bless you!
Jeremiah 29:13 - ''You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.''

@@backsteinfisch3894this comment seems born from lack of understanding. Once you're tied you can't get away, and if you don't maintain the wealth you have it will crumble and take you with it.
It’s amazing how only the rich say that money can’t buy you happiness. Ask the man who can’t feed himself or provide for his family what he thinks money can do for him.
Only a man with functioning legs can tell a paralyzed person what running feels like, only a man who can see can tell a blind man what sight is like, and a lot of the time as much as the man who sees tries to describe sight to the blind man he still won’t get it, hopefully this analogy helps you understand, a poor man is in no position to give advice about money because he himself lacks it, its like asking a man with no legs how to do parkour, a man who has plenty of money is in the best position to speak about money because he has more experience with it in general and with a lot of it specifically, its simple common sense, rich people aren’t afraid of you getting money and trying to convince you its not worth it, theres no conspiracy here you can relax, its just an important life lesson and a lot of people seem to not get, materialistic things don’t always fulfill your internal feelings.
@@xelio9050 Food, water, clothes and houses to provide shelter, tell me. Are this materials not enough to make you and your loved ones happy?
@@nomitanarzary9213 for a homeless/very poor family of course it will bring happiness, but even then it wont be forever, the family will start having higher standards and try reaching higher goals, its like a video I saw about some journalists asking a random african tribal dude what makes him the happiest in life, and he just said when he hunts and gets meat and finds honey, simple poor people have simple and easy goals that make them happy, wealthy people have a much harder time reaching happiness because they have everything, happiness is a temporary thing and it always grows with you.
@@xelio9050 The same can be applied to the tribal man, he can also start having higher standards of superiority among other tribes people and his happiness also won't last long. A simple homeless person getting some money and having a house isn't enough to make him or her greedy, except for some.
Of course if it's a financial struggle then money can alleviate that stress, but not all problems involve finances. For stuff like family drama, money can't solve that

But happiness is several aspects: good health, good financial status, being loved... so money is part of it, and that financial stability brings in comfort
Yeah dude, money doesn’t make you happy but it gives you more opportunities to make yourself happy
Very well said
True, but there's things that can make you happier than money or the things that money can buy. Of these things, I think the most important are love, family and good health, and maybe possessing talent/skill or a physical bonus.
@@LightSaber12345 money buys good health, or the means to improve it--meds, doctor visits, insurance. Money can enhance love--allowing travel and visits between long distance couples, better dates, fun opportunities to bond through (love can be cultivated at home though, I know). Money buys the ability to travel to see family more. Money can buy the ability to spend money on talents--paints, a piano, gardening supplies, etc. And overall, having financial security erases so much stress that all these categories will be improved.
Money gives the means to make everything better. It's a nice little idea, "money can't buy happiness," and true in some ways, but I think it's important to remember that it's used too often by people richer than the one hearing it to discredit their desire for more. To distract from the fact that their labor often doesn't earn them enough for something as little as pleasures or as big as secure healthcare.
I don't mean this as an attack. Just sharing my thoughts and perspective :)

The research team suggested This is because the lower class were working hard to survive and didn’t have time to consider whether they were happy. They were also more grateful as a whole.
Those studies were done quite a few decades ago and times have changed. Now everyone can be prone to these problems, no matter the class. I wonder what has changed. Is it increase of social media, which has increased comparison opportunities? Or the increase of ppl who want careers involving around fame/glory/money? Or is it the improvement of strategic message marketing that constantly communicates to us what we need to make us happy?
I think its social media. back in the day the poor couldn't see what kinds of things rich people see and experience but now we can easily go into a famous person's instagram and see everything they experience, where they go, who they hang out with, what fancy places they eat at. Then it makes the not so fortunate think like damn these people have it so good meanwhile I'm here struggling and working hard everyday, and say to themselves "whats the point?" I think thats where it starts.
True also. As an addition to what has been said.
My cat died again by dog😭😭
Or maybe those studies where crap to begin with as they seem to give an oversimplified answer to an issue that's mainly personal.

It does not make you miserable it just never fulfill the emptiness that has always been felt. Full happiness comes from self-love.
So basically money is not going to make you happy. It will make life easier sure and studies prove that more money = more happiness. Still people with tendency to depression are going to be depressed anyways and people in africa can be happiee than people in europe or america. Money is great but it can't magically change an emotional state that comes from the inside like happiness is. It can't buy things like love ot hate that also affect happiness. More money up to a certain point increases happiness. Once there is some level of financial stability with basic needs met, happiness no longer increases.

My interpretation is that money can’t buy mental, physical and emotional health. You can be rich and get diagnosed with an deadly illness. You can be rich and have mental illness. You can be rich and have difficulty connecting with someone. More money can also mean more problems. Furthermore, it may not fix your current problems. Well said . I reckon that's why a lot of them turn to drugs......boredom. they have hit there peak and have nothing else to focus on so they turn to drugs to break up there week or month or year. Boredom can be a killer.
That's why so many keep stars on performing - it's not the money that drives them, it's the adulation and feeling of being popular. So many celebrities turn to drugs or alcohol as they've probably experienced everything that most people wouldn't experience in 10 lifetimes. Some find a way by helping charities or giving their time to help people.
Even business icons get to a point where the money is secondary and end up giving it all away. Philanthropy is not a new word, we all know about the Gates Foundation, Warren Buffet, Ingvar Kamprad, plus quite a others (not so publicly as the aforementioned) despite giving away over HALF of their fortunes. In a very different time,
Thomas Eddison and Andrew Carnegie who were both extremely ruthless and successful in business life were very different in their approach to money in private. Carnegie spent the last 20 years of his life giving away 90% of his worth. (Almost 300 Billion in adjusted for inflation!)
I wonder what would happen and could be achieved if all the so-called super-rich people on this planet did this even if not as extreme as giving away half their worth, just enough that they wouldn't even notice let alone starve. Why not stop corporations using offshore loopholes and pay a fair amount of tax. Starbuck in the UK are a good example (paid just £8.6m UK tax in 14 years) one of many, not illegal but immoral.

These types of clips are always interesting to watch, because of course money and fame doesn't bring you pure happiness forever. I think most rational people understand this. It does, however, drastically change the way you can live your life. You can help friends and family in need, travel, pick up new hobbies that you never knew you liked, focus on your health more, etc. Life and all of it's possibilities become much more apparent, because you now have the ability to expand your horizons. There's not a single person on this planet who doesn't have bad days or feel low. Some worse than others, but that's the human condition. There's no magic fix for that. I think people in those positions should look outside of themselves and use their influence, power and wealth to help others and in that way they will feel fulfilled again and others will benefit. Many do, but there are others who don't and they feel depressed.
If money can’t buy happiness I guess I’ll have to rent it.
It's for free...youre welcome!
Money isn't supposed to create ultimate happiness in a person's life. There are multiple things that people care about having.
It all depends on a person's situation.
One might have a lot of money, but is just lacking friends and family to share life with. One might have friends and family to share life with, but is lacking in having a lot of money to retire whenever they want and do whatever they want.

It’s not about being famous, they will never worry about anything financial. So really it’s incomparable to people who are lower or middle class. Emotions definitely aren’t different but celebrities have the time and money to address them and seek professional help. Lower and mid class usually can’t and on top of that dealing with financial problems....that’s the difference here.
Exactly, I’m sure if they went back into reality of what normally everyday people go through they might realize how they’re taking there life for granted.... shit our health insurance only is making us sink 700$ a month for a family of four! That is crazy to me... that is just health care. So to me this video is stupid.
Graffiti Girl exactly! Healthcare should be a HUMAN RIGHT, not a luxury to the rich.
ASMR Newbie I am not rich but I have good healthcare. In America, you don’t have to be rich to get insurance lol.
Typed twice, long stories, didn't post.
Anyway, yes I agree with what you said. It's very hard for lower middle class families or individuals, specially here in India, its worse.
Money is not important for rich because they don't have to face the crisis anymore.
I don't have problem with that, but they should stop preaching this "money doesn't make you happy" bullshit.
Michael Anderson That’s strange...my husband had emergency spine surgery last year and we paid a total of eight grand out of pocket. I guess that’s a lot but compared to the 100 thousand it would have cost, I was happily surprised. And we don’t have the best insurance, it’s like mid-range. How much was their max out of pocket?
Having money is only a part of being happy, but many people think these two things are one in the same. You could have all the money in the world and still not be able to find a genuine caring person to be close to you. You could have all the money in the world and not be able to enjoy a free day without schedules, meetings, appointments and all that stuff. There's more to happiness than just money. Emotional connections, spontaneous and relaxing moments, genuine acceptance, freedom of expression, privacy and space, and so much more. Rich people are far from victims, but they're not the winners we might think they are either.
Honestly like i remember when i graduated highschool and went to city college and told myself once I transfer to state college I would be happy but after getting in, I didn’t feel happy at all. What i took away from that is that what you have doesn’t make you happy it’s yourself so if im unhappy inside then i achieve something ive always wanted then it won’t truly make you happy but if you’re happy with what you have currently then thats when you’ll truly be able to be happy. Like whether or not I have something ill be happy.
