Edited for length.
Sad how people love the "I have a dream" speech but many of those same people ignore this speech. Many people who claim to fight hate, racism, ignorance and injustice are hateful to their opposition. One cannot fight hate with hate.
Agreed.

Exactly right hate is blinding.
Martin Luther King, never died, he is just not here on earth at the present time. He has passed on to the eternal life.
He is with the Almighty God, Jesus Christ, in Paradise.
Martin Luther King is one of my mostly beloved persons I have learned about.
Long live the Love Of Jesus for all humanity.
Love from Athens, Greece.
“I would rather die than hate my enemies.”
Wow! This line hit me so hard I started dropping tears.
Yeah, he kinda sets the bar high when it comes to the standard for excellence.
The whole meaning of his words were that we should NOT HAVE ENEMIES. Love your enemy and then is he really an enemy anymore?
@@tonytravels2494if he hurts you yes
Wow thats deep@@tonytravels2494
@martinjugoliyeqhvn2087 yeah you right too Bc GOD SAYS" Love yo enemys"..HE SAYING Theyre already yo enemy😅
I too wish we had this man’s guidance today, we need it desperately.
This is first sermon I heard of his. We can all join together in prayer and fasting while reading our Holy Bibles daily. Start in Proverbs and Psalms. Spread the Gospel around the world. Love one another to spread Peace!
I’ve been thinking of him a lot the past couple weeks,
Observe your thoughts and let the spirit guide you
Dr. King was a Pastor. He preached out of Holy Scriptures. Seek God dilengently and keep reading our bibles and memorize our scriptures, because we are in the days that our bibles and churches are being taken away from us. Stand Up for your RELIGIOUS RIGHTS! Spread Gospel with Scriptures, Love and show them the Romans road to Salvation. I stay watching Pastor John Hagee in these times of Cornerstone Church of Ssn Antonio, Texas. Pray for our changing world, our enemies, and our President whether you like him or not, our scriptures says pray for our leaders. If we do not forgive those, that we believe are in wrong, How can GOD forgive us? God is never changing, we all our. Love you all bunches! Praying daily. In the bible their is No black or white church, there is only 1 God and he is heaven sitting on his throne, in the bible, there is only 1 race, the Human Race. Spread 💘, not Hate. The movement that needs to happen is standing up for GOD!
Timber H. My dad was raised in the church and spent his whole Life studying the Bible. Only in his final years when he stayed out in the country away from everything/everyone did he begin to understand it. The Bible as well as God/Life/Love are all very misunderstood subjects as they are synonymous with one another. It is my belief that the spirit in me is the same spirit in you and every other form of Life in existence. From every human being to every blade of grass we are all expressions of the same One Life. That awesome force that sustains us all is The MOST HIGH. It is Love..
God is Love in the most literal sense...

Not because they are likeable BUT BECAUSE GOD LOVES THEM❤❤❤❤
We need this sermon in today's world. Wish he was still here with us.
You must do it, you must follow in his footsteps instead, or at least support those who do. :-)
King was, and he moved us. It is not for us to decide our worthiness to spread the message but to know the message is worthy of being spread. We are humble vessels of a love supreme

"Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
- 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7
Thank you for writing this. It is beautiful. I wrote it down.. Thank you again.

Thank you just found this
Love is not a word but action taken. MLK didn’t just preach about love but he actually lived it out in his life. Let’s be like MLK and put action where there is only talk. Love you enemies not with words but with acts.
The Bible says “Love your enemies”. I once took pictures of a girl whose name I don’t know (I’ll call her “Tina”). “Tina” came over and threw my phone to the ground.
Question:
In the context of that Bible passage, if I love “Tina”, can it be considered as “loving my enemy”?
Premise of the Question:
The premise of the question is that even though Tina breaking my phone wasn’t appropriate, I was the one who “started it” and at fault for taking pictures of her.
The Bible says to love your enemies since it is harder to love enemies than friends. However, I was wondering if people who do something unkind to you are considered to be your “enemy” by God if you were the one who “started it”.
@@jasonlau8593 not sure but you can ask for forgives .and be kind
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
Matthew 5:44.
LORD, PLEASE HELP ME TO LOVE MY ENEMIES LIKE MLK LOVED HIS. IN THE NAME OF JESUS, AMEN.
Please help me love my enemies the way Jesus did.
You love your enemies by understanding them, their motivations, while not supporting their deeds. Redemption comes in the form of goodwill and understanding.
WOW!! This man had such a burning love for Christ Jesus... God bless him and the wisdom the Spirit granted him to share with the world.
AMEN!
amen!! what an incredible man of God. #pastorkellyc #hatecantdriveouthateonlylovecandothat
I am happy and also surprised to learn recently of the very close (hidden) connection between Billy Graham and Martin Luther King, Jr. They were literalists in their Bible theology. They shared a common belief in a Christian GOSPEL OF LOVE. Racism is evil. Our racial history is ridden with bitterness and pain and guilt, and only God can save us.
Martin Luther King was also a highly educated person. He at the top held a Doctorate. If you don't think that's something find someone who has a Doctorate and ask them to explain to you what they had to go thru to earn one. The guy I talked to called the whole process "a living hell!". Most of all, Martin Luther King learned by experience. He taught his followers to stand their ground but to not fight back -- the same way Ghandi & his followers did and caved in the centuries old British control of India. When he led the marches & demonstrations in the south he stood up to authority. He told them if you have to hit someone with a stick, i'll take the first one. If your dog is going to bite someone, I'll be first. He even went as far as saying he'd take the first bullet. He spent alot of time in Jail. But at no time did he ever stand down. Not only was he strong in God, he was strong in spirit & purpose too. This world could use so many more just like him. RIP Martin.

the greatest man in the world! I love his speech, his leadership, his charisma. This, together with other speeches, like the life blueprint, should be shown to students at schools from grade 1 to grade 12, twice a year, as a minimum.
Peace on earth is coming. Everlasting Peace in God's Dominion!
I needed to hear this. Jesus called us to love our enemies. Thank you Dr. King for the reminder.
I'm an Atheist , but I admire this man, I think everyone could learn something of empathy through him. The world in it's current state of affairs could use more men and women like him.
It’s only through the love of Christ Jesus that we come to the realization that anyone can love the lovable ones but to love those that hate you and spitefully use you can only grow and blossom through the knowledge that Jesus died on the cross and after much suffering said to His Father, “forgive them, they know not what they do.” Now that’s redemptive love 💕. Jesus has not only saved me, He’s changed me inside and out.
God bless you my brother Chandler 🙏🏼
The greatest American who ever lived, in my opinion. 🇺🇸
I plan to listen to this every day so that I never forget and stop faltering in showing, breathing and speaking love... I’ve allowed things to change me for the worse and that is not what God wants. 🙏🏼❤️
Now I learn the close friendship between Billy Graham and Martin Luther King, Jr. They were both literalists in their Bible theology. True believers. They shared a common belief in a Christ like GOSPEL OF LOVE. Racism is evil. Our racial history is ridden with bitterness and pain and guilt, and only God can save us.
This man is a true man of God
Amén!
I am not Christian but I have recently begun thinking of myself as a theist. MLK was a wonderful orator. I don't agree with him perfectly on his stance of nonviolence. But I agree whole-heartedly that we must all feel that overwhelming agape. It is so important and transformative once you realize it. You know the kind things you must do, and your life will improve because you will be happy to always try and do the right thing :)
Thank you so much for posting this video. For so many years I did not understand the concept of "loving your enemies." Now, I understand. I really needed this.

Same for me ❤
Love your enemies. They are you. For there is no hero without a villain, and no villain without a hero. The hardest part will not be defeating the darkness, but accepting it is integral to our very being.
Indeed tbh I love my enemies way more than my so called friends and family who so called there for me.
WOW.
l love Dr King
Yes, still think of him often......lived out the gospel of Jesus!
I just cried a whole bucket full of tears..
Everyone in the world needs to hear this right now!

Thanks for sharing this today. Martin Luther King was highly intelligent, compassionate, and brave. Martin Luther King inspires me to this day.
Same I truly truly respect Dr Martin Luther King I truly do.
Today is MLK Day and we are celebrating and giving praise to the legacy of one of world's greatest and kindest men that ever walked this Earth! Happy birthday Dr. King, you STILL live in our hearts. You gave us courage to speak up and thought us how to fight for justice benevolently. He died for our sins, just like Jesus. Let it not be in vain. LOVE one another, make Him proud!
he was a great man but he didn't die for your sins
I wish he was still alive. Such a wonderful man of God. A very positive roll model.
Quote at 6:55 : I say to you, "I love you. I would rather die than hate you."

such power the hardest thing in the world to do is to love your enemy's.
In 2020 and this speach this holds so much power. In this day and age this speach still holds so much relevance. In todays modern world the speach still speaks in volume. Love is the greatest of all and with Love we shall conquer all evil.
I love this message!!! I've read "Meine Kaumpf" and I've read the New Testament. King knows the King... I'll choose love.

My university sent me here - kudos happy to know more of his speeches.
The light to the soul that is brought by loving ones enemy's is greater than any satisfaction of revenge.
I don't love enemies I just forget about move on with life. Don't look back
Such an important message for today.

We live you Martin Luther King for decades to come Thank You.
Forgive and do not hold grudges..... FIGHT ON KING JESUS FIGHT ON
Omg that was one God fearing man. I know he is with the Lord because he was a faithful servant of the lord Jesus Christ
I’ve read the scripture about loving your enemy many times but my man Martin Luther King here just gave me a new look at it like never before, you see I’ve struggled with loving my enemies but when Martin tells us how love can help guide them to redemption it blew me away!
There should be people watching in 2020. 👀
I feel like crying he’s the reason why my culture is respected
The more they hate you they more you love them and pray for them! You hear 👂 me just don’t let them in your life but it’s ok to be nice my love don’t let people stress you out
A beautiful reminder, thank you 🙏✌
this is how you change things

I love you all brothers and sisters. God bless you all. Those who believe and those who don't, those who hate me and those you love me. Those who know me and those that do not.

What a powerful message . . . . . . Thank you Lord for your mercy and grace.
Thank you Doctor King, for letting God work through you, a true brother in Christ to all believers, everywhere.
Still coming back to this
The size of our heart and that of our ego will determine whether we shall love and forgive, or hate and seek revenge against our enemies. We should make sure that our heart wins most of the time, for there is no peace and happiness for people whose inner world is constantly in conflicts❤
Wonderful!
Awwww 🥰 your comment to heart warming and heart touching... nice reading your comment, how are you
Hallelujah!
Hatred destroys the hater as well as the hated.
So true. We need you Dr King. I know you are with the Lord Almighty in Heaven. But man do we need you now. There is so much anger and hatred and it's destroying our world. But God gave us Jesus too and He is still alive today. Oh Jesus please save us.
Thank you for posting this.
Hallelujah! In the name and Spirit of Christ we agape our brothers and sisters. I declare and decree this love transforms them as well as us. We love our enemies because God loves then. As we enter into the suffering of Christ on the Cross..we despise the shame but look to the Glory we will share with The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.. Amen and Amen. Glory!
THIS IS ONE MAN I LOOK UP TO EVERY DAY ALONG WITH JOHN LEWIS
