  • Today we'll take a look at how to operate the John Bean T7800 all in one leverless tire changer. I go through the job beginning to end, and show you the process for dismounting and remounting a tire. I shot this video because my students asked for it. This machine is more complicated than a standard rim clamp machine, so they wanted this video for reference. For my normal ham radio and CW subscribers.....sorry LOL. I know this isn't exactly in my niche, but I wanted to get this posted and available to my kids ASAP. Thanks for watching and......wait.....should I say 73? Sure. Why not. Thanks for watching and 73!

Why do I find this video fascinating?!!!! Something I know very little about is automotive "stuff".....

Cool machine! I was glued to the screen for the last 12-1/2 minutes. Definitely better than using a couple of pry bars like I've done at home in the pinch.

Not amateur radio, but fascinating nonetheless. A great use of your channel to help your students. Best 73 de Brian - K3ES

I need to start a channel just for automotive stuff. I just told them I'd get it up before tomorrow, so I figured I'd use my main channel for now LOL.

Cool video, Evan. Not an auto mechanic (anymore!) but the engineer in me always is fascinated by the machine designs. Thanks!

great for high end cars or cars with low pro tires as long as flat rate times are adjusted. how is it with run flats ?

Run flats are cake on this thing. The easier wheels and tires are actually more difficult. Yeah, you'd definitely need to charge more to use this machine, as it's slower. I have to put tires on my Porsche, and you'd better believe I'm using this thing. There's a zero percent chance I want to scratch those wheels up 😂
