Love the GE7 Equalizer. Set everything even, then raise the volume slider a hair. Makes a great boost pedal ✌. Also love the Blues Driver. First pedal I ever had.
The Tera Echo. The best way I can describe it is that it's like a windy mountain valley ambiance. It adds a lot of character, and you can set it to be very subtle so it doesn't overpower anything. I like it after delays but in front of reverbs. Match this with the Cloudburst and the Halo and it's instant Vangelis.
I have an SD-1 and a CS-3 in front of my amp and then I use a GT-1 with an added FS-7 dual footswitch in the FX Loop, for all the additional effects goodness. Other pedals in front of the amp are a CryBaby Wah, plus an MXR 5150 OD pedal, which I use into amp clean channels if I'm not plugging into my EVH 5150 LBX-S. Essentially a BOSS pedalboard+. Aside from those, I have multiple plugins (Neural DSP, Helix Native etc), which I use depending on mood. Love the sound of the SD-1, much prefer using that instead of a Tube Screamer. All the other BOSS effects do everything they're supposed to easy to dial in and sound great.
I have a SD-1 and a DM-2w and love them both. I have a precision drive also and actually prefer the SD-1, makes a great boost into a dirty amp. The DM-2w is nothing special but is simple and does what it says on the box and most importantly didn't crap out as soon as the warranty was up like my MXR delay.
Just discovered that the incredible Waza tuner has a switch on the front which means it can either be true bypass or buffered. I have no idea I think that’s incredible.!! by the way thank you for watching. Have an incredible day :-)
I've been on a massive Boss bender recently. I think all guitarists start with Boss, then move on to boutique and end up back at Boss! What I like about them is they're well designed, well built and simple! The simplicity is really useful on a gig!
Biffy Clyro is built around the metal zone don't forget. Having seen them a few times Simon Neil has created a huuuuge sound out of it that has so much punch live!
Looking forward to the test! If I could only have one brand of pedal on my board, it would be BOSS. They pretty much cover all the bases and are just tough & bloody good, without costing an arm and a leg.
It's good to see you with your friends, Rob. Most times so funny! Packed with information and advice, if you like it or not. 🤣 But I think you know a thing or two about pedals yourself.
Awesome pedalboard, Rob. Now, the delay at the end WILL delay (repeat) the reverb and chorus. I usually use the reverb at the end of the chain (before a looper if there's one).
Just as a purely ergonomic concept..... I am 6 foot 4, my feet are size 15 and wide a as a stupid standard human face. In terms of pedal dancing, a large switch is very appealing to me. So the traditional Boss, Digitech, some Ibanez concept is very appealing to me.
I went off Steve Vai after he was making odd comments about Marshall amps during his interview at Andertons. Can't trust his judgement on anything after that. Judging by his attitude, he seems more concerned with the next endorsement deal than he is with the quality of the equipment he uses.
The Waza tuner is decent, but if you're spending that sort of money on a tuner a Peterson strobe pedal is FAR more accurate and just all around better option.
Question which Boss pedals do you recommend and why?’

HM-2W Great for those old school death metal sounds of course but also for lot more

Not only that, but the Waza buffers are good. High input impedance, low output (1MOhm and 1kOhm from memory).
So glad to see some regular new videos. So tempted to holiday in Malta to visit some of the haunts in your q and a vids
You should!

“I do it a little a little bit shitter” 😂😂😂 my brotha, miss ya homie! Hope you been well!
Ha ha thanks man, love you dude
I think this all the most guitar players need but as usual we always need "one more"..!!

Man, I played the hell out of the D4 beta. 4 lvl 25s. Can't wait for release day.
I own two Boss pedals. TU-3 and MT-2. Just the essentials.
The beta was so much fun, especially when they cracked up the difficulty halfway through LOL. I died so many times
The Waza DS-1 is fantastic. Also a huge fan of the CE/DC-2W choruses
I own several Boss pedals and have always liked their quality.
This is awesome

My pedalboard has 3 Boss pedals and one Digitech so perhaps I inadvertently channeled the spirit of Vai and Chapman.

If Steve Vai tells you to do something....I wouldn't even question what it is.
Truth 🤘🏽🦄
2:12 because Steve knows 🤘🏽
Awesome pedal board!
I’ve added another two pedals to it already. 😂
Makes it even better! 😆
Except the NS-2( and i have a CH-1 instead og CE-1) i have the exact same pedals on my pedalboard and in the same order :-)
One does not just post a pedalboard build video without including at least a snippet of how it sounds! I am disappoint! 😆
Coming up next bro, I’ll go in depth as well :-)
I would add the metal core instead it’s a killer pedal👍👍👍👍
Forgo the Metal Zone and put in a Metal Core.
5:23 and I’m switching off because of the way rob said katana

Luke is leprechaun tiny.
Or go see Daniel Steinhardt🤣
