You are a lucky dude Ola. You have a beautiful wife, a great band, your own guitar company. Damn, I guess that hard work really does pay off. As far as your kids go, just throw down a few bags of kid food down on the floor and they will be all good!
Great video Ola......gave me a big smile and “Good for you!” vibes when I saw Steve Vai signing your guitar. Seeing you with the kids at the end was the best part
I hear you about playing to a tame room. As the great Gilmour said, "Where would rock and roll be without feedback?" ua-cam.com/video/g1OOQP1-wOE/v-deo.htmlm35s
Thank you so much for coming to the festival, Ola. So glad you got your guitar signed. I thought you knew you were riding in the same car as Vai. So funny you didn´t know. Hope to see you again. All the best to you and your wife!
Ola, you are such an awesome person. You are so humble and respectful, this video really shows this. I have to say, I am very jealous that you got to ride with one of the two guitarists that I have liked for such a long time, the other being Alex Skolnick. Your UV is pretty much priceless now, glad you got to get it autographed.
So cool. Mr Vai is a special kind of person. Folks who don't get caught up in their own fame and dedicate a lot of their time to sharing their passions are a blessing. I include you in that group of individuals. 😎 Cheers.
Its so cool to see you being excited when you met Steve Vai. I just would not be able to speak one word... He is such a big idol. But Ola, you are also one of my heroes! Thanks for your work and entertainment on UA-cam.
This is still my number one favorite Ola video of all time. It has everything: shredding, comedy, travel woes, pink eye, bed time with the wife, meeting your idol, more shredding, snow, and buying off your children's affection after an absence.
Thats so cool you shared a car with him and got the chance to get your guitar signed! Super happy for you bro! Looked like an incredible trip and your true personally come through. Well deserved success \m/
As a guitar player myself, I can tell you that I too would be star-struck meeting Steve Vai. But as a parent of 4 kids (now grown), I can tell you that the best part of that whole weekend had to be getting back home with your beautiful children. God Bless!!!
That was a cool experience and to have the man sign your guitar even better. Music brings people together having it in our lives brings positive things. I’m a drummer but I love guitars and own some nice ones, since I have started studying guitar it has opened up the guitar god doors and man there some people out there with the gift Steve Vai being one of them.
Totally got me in the feels, with the coming home to the kids bit. Mine are grown now, and they don't rush me at the door anymore. Hang onto that, my friend. Many blessings to you and your family.
Looks like it was a great Lil vacation. It's so hard to not get "Fan girl" around someone who you put so high in regard! Love ur videos and can't wait to try Solar Guitars
I'm glad you had the opportunity to meet Steve Vai. Thanks for sharing that experience with us. I went to a Steve vai concert last year and I couldn't believe my eyes and ears.
Ola...you're a good soul. I'm glad you got to experience so much amazingness. Thank you for inspiring others, for the amazing music and most of all for the smiles. You've definitely gained me as a fan.
Im always amazed at the commitment and support of your wife it must be an amazing confidence boost. Well done Mr and Mrs Englund. Keep concentrating on your music. UA-cam and the internet might not always be around.
It's wonderful that you didn't miss out on meeting him or getting your guitar signed by Vai! I got to meet him and my Jem signed a couple years back on the Passion and Warfare tour.
Awesome Ola! I met Mr. Vai 3 years ago he was i@ The Canyon in Ca with Al Di Meola. Best birthday ever he’s super cool and approachable. Like you my wife made me talk.
I’m in the process of catching up on your vlogs, and I had to comment on this one. I’m 60 years old. And I can totally understand your “fan girling” about having Steve Vai sigh your guitar. Hell, if you were coming to my town (not happening in a million year), I’d be totally stoked to have you sign one of my guitars. That’s the cool thing about music. Maybe even life in general. There’s always someone to look up to. Always someone who was there first. So good on ya, Ola.
By far my favorite vid seeing you having your fangirl moment and just having so much fun with your beautiful Wife and then the end when your kids were so happy to see you. 🙏
I've been a sub for a year now. Actively only lately. This video was beautiful. It felt so personal. Hope you are well and please stop being sick all the time!!
I know exactly how you felt meeting Steve Via.. I had the honor to say hello and get an autograph when he was on tour with David Lee Roth. Such an incredibly polite humble man, it was a huge inspiration to me as well. As you are too Ola, I dig your videos, and your vibrato as well. Lol Very strong vibrato which is so important. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Very cool you got to finally hang with Steve. Its really something when you get to meet an idol, or one of the inspirations in your life.... congrats Ola...The festival looked fun. The guitars looked amazing, from what I could see. I'm struggling with trying to decide between an Ibanez and a Schecter myself right now....so I was hoping to see more guitars.. but seeing you, your wife experiencing something this cool, was a pleasure. Thanks for tagging us along my friend.....
I have had the good fortune to meet Steve on 2 occasions, and he signed my Ibanez rg4ex1 both times (he even took a minute to admire it's paint job) He's such a gracious artist! I thought he would be arrogant, but he was truly humble.
Omgosh man. That was a great video. It’s nice to see how much the time with Steve Vai meant to you. Especially sweet when you guys get home to the rest of the family. Perhaps I will see you at NAMM next year. Your reviews have helped me tremendously. Thank you!
have fun , Louise, with the wonderful smile, hello. ahhh slide guitar, Your playing was sooo wonderfully heavy how strange to see people living with snow . I live in the EastBay we don't get snow here. We don't usually get any colder than 40F, 4.444 C
That's awesome man!Steve has been one of my faves since I was a kid. I can only imagine how cool it must have been to meet him.Ive been playing guitar for almost 30 years now. Great video. Thanks so much for sharing theae experiences. Very cool Steve Vai is the man. So glad you were able to get your guitar signed by him, and good for your wife texting you and prodding you forward. Nick Johnston is inredible too, as well as all of the artists in the video, but my two favs are for sure Steve Vai, the Maestro, and Nick for sure. Thanks again for the share of such a great experience. 💝💝
Awesome vid Ola! So cool to hear that someone at your level can be just as starstruck as us plebs! Loved the end with your kids, nearly cried seeing you coming home to them, reminds me of when my kids were little. You have a lot of heart and humility, thanks for sharing.
Glad to see that you had great time. It was also nice to finally see who really runs the show at Englund enterprise !! Last it was fun to see you get to meet Steve Vai and turn into fanboy !! Keep up the great work !
It reminds me when I met you in London in 2014 at the acoustic guitar show. After the clinic, you let me try a couple of your signature guitars and the Randall Satan. I came back home with a signed copy of "Vinter" and another CD with a backing track that you probably used during the clinic. It was a nice experience! I really enjoy watching your videos, and of course your music, Ola \m/
Why the hell did you not inform me of your channel sooner? You're seriously naturally hilarious. You're the type of guy I could hang out with for days and choke in my own laughter! Very nice content as well.
Just cane across your video watching other videos from the festival. Love how you travel light and don't need a certain amp to perform. Great to see you got to talk to Steve on a personal level, and that your kids missed you. I will be subscribing :)
Thank you so much, Ola for filming this! I was in tears watching SO MANY of my heroes (which of course includes you!)together in the same space. This is one of the most emotional videos on your channel for me personally :)
If you like this video, please subscribe so I can feed my kids something else than 10 dollar bills...

Ola, check out Allaegon .. great 8 stringed band (that doesn't sound like meshuggah)
Yeah, cool video and nice to meet you there. Loved that Vai story!
One question to you Leo. Was that a Solar Guitar, that you used on Stage? It looked like a Solar but I could identify it.
NoRePlayIng It's a Line 6 Shuriken Variax
Can you two colab already?
Hey Leo @frogleapstudios, is there a full version of you from the excerpt of this video. that "it all goes berserk" song sounded bad ass. Thanks -Zach
awesome video! great to meet you in person dude!
I hear you about playing to a tame room. As the great Gilmour said, "Where would rock and roll be without feedback?" ua-cam.com/video/g1OOQP1-wOE/v-deo.htmlm35s

Anders Buaas. Definitely! It probably was the best time to give him a Solar guitar and offering him to be a Solar artist. You missed Ola 😜.
Amazing festival! Couldn't imagine a cooler place!
Ola, you are such an awesome person. You are so humble and respectful, this video really shows this.
