Thanks for more insight. I love Vader’s character and hate to see people judge him to harshly. There is lots of evidence showing that he’s not some over glorified monster. He actually has lots of skill and talent.
I wouldent take those databooks as 1 to 1 factual. Vader is still a top tier duelist but Matt Martin has talked about how those rankings in the databook are more like sport rankings. They are not definitive and the reason they exist is simply because the book had a need for it. Someone in spot 4 can still beat someone in spot 1 in the right situation.
You say that, but in this show he shows NONE of that. Dude is just using it like a club. Somehow the choreography is worse here than in the sequel movies

I hate that Moses Ingram is getting so much hate mail/tweets. She's doing such an incredible job (in my opinion) on this show, I'm definitely a fan! Maybe it's because I can partly relate to her character of Reva. Were I in her position, I'd be doing the same shit. I've been a SW fan since I was 10 years old, in 1977. I've enjoyed pretty much everything they've done so far (though Episode VIII was kinda sketchy at first, it DID end up growing on me)... but I'm loving this show. Absolutely LOVING IT!
Prople are really sending her hate mail? Wtf? Even if one doesn't like the character they shouldn't attack the actor. Some people are fucking dumbasses
@@Nekotaku_TV I think he enjoys the chase a little bit plus at this point he knows obi-wan is no threat to him with how broken he is now so Vader can enjoy torturing him and watching him try to run and cower away from him. Vader himself is also just dramatic he does things in a roundabout way that really isn’t the easiest way for him but instead gets the most fear out of people.
I loved how everyone was saying "oh he's just a loader, he doesn't understand anything" and this thing totally analysed the whole situation perfectly lol
It's really, really cool and hilarious that this character is *so* much of a cultural icon that already commands respect with even just his presence that it's absolutely terrifying just watching the guy get up, shower, get dressed, and head to work. The "actions speak louder than words" is a pretty solid theme here that works into all of the little subplot threads in some clever and unique ways. Like the loading droid - it's a Worker Droid, not a Protocol Droid - it has no real need to speak. ("But what if he has something to say?" "He will say it with his actions.") Stormtroopers just write him off as too stupid or non-sentient to understand, while this droid was actually a ride or die homie ready to start cracking skulls with an ax at the drop of a hat. Compare that with the Uber Driver Walrus played by Zack Braff - he seems pleasant enough, he speaks with kindness, he's polite, and friendly, and comes across as legitimately helpful. But he still just drives them right up to the Stormtroopers and throws them under the bus, nonchalantly. Obi-Wan doesn't want little miss to talk - "I can't talk, or I don't talk?" "You don't talk." "Yeah, but we need to talk to this guy so that we can get some help." And though it was a bumpy ride, little miss knows how to improvise gracefully, being raised as the daughter of *SENATOR* Bail Organa and *QUEEN* Breha Organa. So they have this playful "I know *who* she's like," banter that highlights Leia's understanding of these things - but this is 100% about the Legacy of Padme Amidala, who was both a *Senator* and a *Queen* . Then Reva and the Dejected Green Mushroom Inquisitor have a pissing contest about taking initiative vs taking advantage, and ultimately come across as two petulant siblings trying to snitch on each other to Dad who doesn't give a shit. "I just went and spoke to Darth Vader, buddy, you're SCREWED." "Oh, yeah? Well *I* already informed Lord Vader, and he gave me a cookie." And to cap it off, Vader is obsessed with getting revenge on Kenobi, but there's a sense of meta-aware insecurity to him, as if he was wary of being criticized for his Rogue One puns and generally petulant nature from the prequel trilogy. So he just walks up, menacing as shit, and then suddenly just STOPS. There's a small beat in which I'm pretty sure everybody watching at home was like, "He's about to say something stupid, isn't he?" And the guy flips the freak out - "QUIT MAKING FUN OF MY DIALOGUE!" and starts snapping necks. And more power to him, because even I had to agree that Vader, in this episode, had one of the sickest burns in the fantasy -- easily way better than, "Be careful not to choke on your aspirations."
This ep was a big step up from the last two for me! Just wished they pulled off Tala’s rescue a little cooler. I know troopers are bad but missing 50 shots from like 20ft away and Vader letting them go was a little weak.
I think it was more of Vader letting them go to track them back to their base. We’ll have to see in the later episodes, but it was a little weird to me as well
"After 10 Years of searching, I finally have you where I want you Obi-Wan .....but I have an appointment and can't walk 10 feet to capture you, so I guess you just got away ......"

@@unbowedqueen I mean, she lied to achieve a more suitable position. I like Reva, but I truly feel that once Vader knows the truth, he won’t have mercy on her.
Vader surely knows she did, he's not that oblivious, that's why he said to her she wants the GI position. I think Reva's smarter than that though, she wants that position maybe but not for the simplistic reason Vader thinks... we'll see what her true motives are. But yes I can't see her surviving.
When Vader paused looking through the fire at the Droid picking up Obi Wan, I feel he was flashing back to when Anakin was being rescued by droids. Vader could've easily jumped over the fire and finished off Kenobi. I was amazed that such a showdown of this significance was halfway through the season.
I like how obi wan easily took on 8 storm troopers and then a second later her surrenders to just three 😂 how that make sense…and shoots the laser barrier instead of just walking around it 😂
Obi-Wan: "What have you become?" Vader: "I am what you made me." Chills... and kinda true, the Jedi unintentionally did create Vader. They didn't teach him as properly as they thought and now he's messing them up for their idiocy.
Is it just me… I feel like if anakin was trained the right way he would’ve had a purple light saber showing his natural connection to the light and dark side…
@@mxhni_3637 You're not the only one who thought that. I've been thinking the same thing myself about Anakin being able to harness Dark Side power and Light Side at the same time, only to a much greater degree than Mace Windu. I could see him using Force Lightning and Choke almost to the point of being able to just bring Sidious to his knees or even just to subdue opponents.
When Chris disappeared to the left I didn’t realise at first and the noise effect it made sounded like a scream and I thought one of my neighbours were getting murdered
Force-Users are really pretty easy to fight. Drop two or three stun grenades near them, on short fuses, then hit them with a blaster on stun at range, and probably pelt them a couple of times for good measure. Then switch to standard setting and frag 'em with blaster bolts. That's doing it alone. If you've got four-person fireteam, it's even easier. Games make it artificially hard by limiting your options in really stupid ways...and movies make it difficult because they want a specific chain of events, rather than actually give some thought to how things would play out, and change the conditions in a more natural way to make a certain outcome happen.
I feel like Rogue One and Fallen Order set the bar way too high, the fire torture scene was dope but the build up towards it with them running through the quarry felt more like a fanfilm imo. I think Deborah Chow even admitted that lightsaber fights were really hard to direct.
And how exactly are you supposed to film a lightsaber fight with a character who hasn’t touched his lightsaber in 10 years or practiced lightsaber forms or even used the force? If those are the boxes you have to tic, I’d say they did a good job.
I think we saw Reva in that opening of episode one as a youngling, she grows up both angry and in pain because of O66 and just wants to find a place she can belong again. The way she stared wistfully at that jedi symbol in this episode...as violent as she is, I think by the end of the season, she will turn back to her early training as a jedi and somehow end up helping Obi-Wan. Just a wild theory :)
If you look at the promotional posters for the series, there is one with the Grand Inquisitor with Obi-Wan in one of his eyes, another with the Second Brother, also with Kenobi in his eye, and finally one with the Sixth Sister… but with Vader in her eye. Like you said, it’s hinted that she was the first youngling we saw at the beginning, and witnessed Anakin’s massacre, and wants to use Kenobi to get to Vader to get revenge.
I can't believe that Chris Johnson, AKA the Gungan Thunder, AKA Palpatine's Grandson, AKA the greatest Star Wars fan in the world was completely correct about every single Star Wars thing he said in this entire video.

The Vader voice is probably done by the same AI that did young Luke in Mandalorian and Boba Fett. James Earl Joes' voice was much lower and more gravelly due to age when he did Rogue One and Rebels. The software apparently takes samples of the voice of the actor from the timeframe they're aiming for, then can re-create it. None of Luke's dialogue we heard in the Disney+ shows was actually him, but the AI.
"Initiate protocol 23" everybody on The couch:yhoooo Chris: guys you don't know what that mean..... "last time somebody initiates Something...." well that's fair
Obi-Wan has to fight Vader again. Vader says, "When I left you I was but the learner, but now I am the master." I think that Vader stops hunting Obi-Wan because he get manhandled by him.
another layer to the saber skill difference between obi and Vader is, at this point Vader is not nearly the same duelist obi faced on mustifar. for the past 10 years he's done little but hunt and kill so many Jedi knights and masters, despite his injuries he's definitely hit his stride by this point, being nearly done with his post 66 Jedi hunting, meanwhile this is probably the first time obi wan is even igniting his lightsaber since that fight
I was SHOCKED that James Earl Jones reprised his roll once again. I can’t be the only one who watched Vader in Rogue One and could hear that his voice just wasn’t what it use to be. I mean, it was good, but after 40+ years of doing this voice it just wasn’t as sharp as it was in his heyday. Not that anyone could possibly blame him for it. Anyways, after seeing Vader in Jedi Fallen Order I was convinced that JEJ had finally retired from the Vader voice, and they were just going hire a similar voice to replace him. All that said HOLY SH*T JAMES EARL JONES KILLED IT 🤩🤩🤩 LIKE, GODDAMN! I FEEL LIKE HE’S BEEN SAVING UP FOR THIS SHOW!!! THE WAY HE SELLS LINES LIKE “I AM WHAT YOU MADE ME!!!”. PERFECTION!!!
Here is my new theory about Reva, they made us believe that the reason why Reva is so determined to capture Obi for Vader is that Vader will reward her by making her Grand Inquisitor but what if she has another motive, what if she felt betrayed and hates Anikin more than Obi Wan for what he did to the younglings instead of protecting them, maybe her real plan is to capture Obi Wan and take him to Vader in hopes of gaining his trust long enough for Vader to drop his Guard so she can kill Anikin herself. 🤔hmmm.
Great episode but i feel like Vader would of been able to use the force to get through the flames i mean i think most likely he let Kenobi go because he found no pleasure in killing him that way but i feel like that scene could of been so cool if Vader starts to walks through the flames using the force to create a shield around him so he will not get burnt you can have him say some dialogue like this fire is nothing compared to what i endured, as the women on the cliff looks on in terror (cant remember her name) she shoots 4 blaster bolts at Vader he stops them with the force then he starts to lift Kenobi with the force and starts to choke him similar to how Padme was, then you could have Kenobi call his name Anakin one or more times with this Vader starts to fill even more anger but it flashes back to when he was force Choking Padme then back to Vader as he starts to lose focus one of the blaster bolts he was holding back flies past him just missing him, Kenobi believes this is the end so he closes his eyes and says im sorry master Qui gon with this we hear Qui gon voice through the force telling Anakin to stop with this Vader loses control of the force the blaster bolts he had suspended in the air hit him damaging his suit the flames start to burn him and Kenobi gets away the episode ends with Vader walking out of the flames he stops and turns to the flames looking at then in deep thought one of the stormtrooper asks lord Vader are u ok this snaps him out of his trance in anger he kills all the troopers who were present.
The point of the scene is to show that Vader wants them to run. He wants to prolong Obi-Wan's suffering, but also wants the satisfaction of beating him when he is powerful enough for it to be a challenge. Vader's time and resources are unlimited, Kenobi can't evade him now. He has all the time and patience to get the revenge he truly desires. You forget that this wasn't the battle Vader wanted, since Kenobi is not even a Jedi anymore, nor is it a battle in Obi-Wan's eyes since he is terrified and trying to draw Vader away from Leia. Their next meeting will be an actual rematch.
Yeah i understand that and i said he let Kenobi go because he would get no pleasure in killing him that way i just thought it would have been a cool scene.
it very clear as to why vader is so ruthless during this time period; we have to take in account this is like prime vader he doesnt have anyone now and hes hell bent on finding/torturing obi-wan
fun fact: when vader is looking out the window of his castle at the begining, he is staring at the spot where obiwan abandonded him

But yeah, Vader's strength, precision, and force combo is absolutely no joke. Which we love to see.
@@AbsurdFalcon I agree actually, I think feats are far more valuable than statements made by authors. In this case I was just trying to demonstrate that Vader is a better duelist than he's given credit for.
@@Crispifordthe3rd515 I mean take it as limitations on the part of acting but lore wise he’s faced numerous master-council level Jedi in combat.
Vaders as a saberist canonically speaking is top tier.
Old fogey Star Wars fans, mount up! 🤘🏼
I wouldn’t say she did an incredible job exactly but she did good for her part.
Prople are really sending her hate mail? Wtf? Even if one doesn't like the character they shouldn't attack the actor. Some people are fucking dumbasses
I mean I wouldn't find her character compelling at all yet but she plays into the pathetic inquisitor trying her best to be the best pretty well
This episode was a dam treat! Props all round to the creators and legendary actors involved 👌🏻
Vader just watched the slowest droid carry obi-wan away without moving a finger, that scene was weird as hell
I can’t believe they name dropped Quinlan. Imagine if we get a Quinlan and Asajj tv show.
I have bad news for you….
@@castelox9996 well, they could, but it'd obviously need to be set at some point during Dark Disciple.
Mad props to Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor for the battle scene!
It's actually a different guy in the Vader suit in this episode. :)
@@Commander_Shepard. Nope. It's confirmed Hayden. Same as the end of ROTS.
Chris saying “what if they pick up Vader next” was the funniest thing I heard all week.
i like how vader is stopped by a bit of fire that he can walk around or can easily put out with the force.
And you know his uniform is fireproof. Now way he’s playing with flammable capes.
He literally let him get away you think he he’d just get stopped by a bit of fire🤦🏽♂️
Rana cheering on Ned-B was classic Rana. Hilarious.
Their fight was very reminiscent of Empire, when Luke is fighting to parry hits.
Watching the Inquisitors squabble and fuck each other over for advancement, you understand why the Sith went to the whole Rule of Two deal.
Loved her scare jump when Vader popped light saber. That man can surprise 'ya alright.😂
Tbh vader let that man get away he 100% could of either put that fire out or walked threw it he just stood there basically saying I’ll see you again
Yeah it was so dumb. But why did he let him go?
@@Nekotaku_TV I think he enjoys the chase a little bit plus at this point he knows obi-wan is no threat to him with how broken he is now so Vader can enjoy torturing him and watching him try to run and cower away from him. Vader himself is also just dramatic he does things in a roundabout way that really isn’t the easiest way for him but instead gets the most fear out of people.
“Not the kids!”
(Snaps neck)
Move on
Anyone else think there’s a human inside the robot?
The way he was holding the wrench…. He felt fear.
Yeah you’re right
I loved how everyone was saying "oh he's just a loader, he doesn't understand anything" and this thing totally analysed the whole situation perfectly lol
Well *I* already informed Lord Vader, and he gave me a cookie."
And to cap it off, Vader is obsessed with getting revenge on Kenobi, but there's a sense of meta-aware insecurity to him, as if he was wary of being criticized for his Rogue One puns and generally petulant nature from the prequel trilogy.
All my friends and I were screaming when Obi-Wan stinkin' namedropped QUINLAN VOS!!! If Vos doesn't show up to rescue Obi-Wan and chibi Leia next episode, we're all gonna be throwing tantrums over here XD Give us live-action Quinlan Vos!
James Earl Jones is 91 and still does a fantastic job voicing Vader.
pretty sure his voice is enhanced with some kind of software..^^
I think this is an AI generated voice based on the Empire Strikes Back voice samples
I had no clue he was that old.. hope they maybe have him record more lines for any future Vader appearances, he's getting up there
I don’t see Reva living long after Vader finds out she lied to him about the Grand Inquisitor
Y’all just really want Reva dead, huh
I was amazed that such a showdown of this significance was halfway through the season.
fun fact, the reason he moves so roboticly (hope that's a word) is that Palpatine actually made his suit shitty to handicap him
I like how obi wan easily took on 8 storm troopers and then a second later her surrenders to just three 😂 how that make sense…and shoots the laser barrier instead of just walking around it 😂
seeing that walk from hayden with the saber i could just see Anakin from Revenge of the Sith lol
Obi-Wan: "What have you become?"
Vader: "I am what you made me."
Chills... and kinda true, the Jedi unintentionally did create Vader. They didn't teach him as properly as they thought and now he's messing them up for their idiocy.
Is it just me… I feel like if anakin was trained the right way he would’ve had a purple light saber showing his natural connection to the light and dark side…
"I have failed you, Anakin... I have failed you."
@@99thJediWarrior exactly
When Chris disappeared to the left I didn’t realise at first and the noise effect it made sounded like a scream and I thought one of my neighbours were getting murdered
Vader: Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya, Kenobi: See-ya.
So we not gonna talk about how my man Chris is a force ghost confirmed at 14:20?
I am one with the force
James earl jones is not pushing 80....he's 91 and that is him doing the voice, man is a unit.
The jedi that obiwan talks about that is alive is the jedi you guys seen team up with him in the clone wars. The jedi with the dreadlocks.
"We're all naked under our clothes" - Micky, 2022.
For once.
@@willfanofmanyii3751 lmao I love this
We need Obi to connect with Qui-Gon and get zen so he can kick Vader's ass one more time.
Wonder if the whole "Close your eyes to see the Path" will be a metaphor for Obi-wan to not 'see' Vader as Anakin, but just as a machine
It was episode 2, a deleted scene when quigon reached out to yoda to teach him how
Deborah Chow is killing it with this show. I hope she gets more opportunities in this franchise.
I can't believe I'm the only that watched Obi-Wan blow up the Imperial prode droid and was disappointed that his next line wasn't "It's a good bet the Empire knows we're here"
20:14 - 20:25 Now there's your real Revenge of the Sith!
The inquisitor's ship reminds me of a beefed up version of the star fighter in the TV series buck Rogers
Young Leia is giving off anakin vibes when she deliberately disobeys obi-wan
The Black Air Force Energy is strong with Vader
I love the earnest, sincere discussion of how much physical harm should be done to Freck. .made my day you guys!

Vader murdering innocents to get Obi Wan to come out was disturbing as hell...
None of Luke's dialogue we heard in the Disney+ shows was actually him, but the AI.
how you can be so calm when vader say "i am what you made me" is so fck sick.
Obi-Wan ran because he was looking for high ground.
"Initiate protocol 23" everybody on The couch:yhoooo

"last time somebody initiates

well that's fair

Kenobi Clips: *Hello There!*
**sees no Suraj in a star wars reaction**
great, now who's going to be the equalizer?
Why is Vader's castle surrounded by lava? You would think he would want none of that.
Mustafar fuels Vader's hate. To him, it's where Anakin and Padme "died".
its a reminder for him
the comics explain it as a place of immense hatred, it makes him stronger being there.
"Is he just naked under there??" Not even a Darth onesie? T-shirt? Intergalactic wife-beater? Briefs or boxers?
Obi-Wan has to fight Vader again. Vader says, "When I left you I was but the learner, but now I am the master." I think that Vader stops hunting Obi-Wan because he get manhandled by him.
Reminds me when Anakin tells Dooku he is twice as strong as the last they met when they met a lot in the cartoon lol.
That blue saber gave me chills!
If they see this. Vader only uses two hands when he has to try
another layer to the saber skill difference between obi and Vader is, at this point Vader is not nearly the same duelist obi faced on mustifar. for the past 10 years he's done little but hunt and kill so many Jedi knights and masters, despite his injuries he's definitely hit his stride by this point, being nearly done with his post 66 Jedi hunting, meanwhile this is probably the first time obi wan is even igniting his lightsaber since that fight
13:13 is my favorite part of this entire reaction video
Here is my new theory about Reva, they made us believe that the reason why Reva is so determined to capture Obi for Vader is that Vader will reward her by making her Grand Inquisitor but what if she has another motive, what if she felt betrayed and hates Anikin more than Obi Wan for what he did to the younglings instead of protecting them, maybe her real plan is to capture Obi Wan and take him to Vader in hopes of gaining his trust long enough for Vader to drop his Guard so she can kill Anikin herself. 🤔hmmm.
I could imagine that. But Vader would never be that comfortable with an inquisitor he knows he can’t trust them.
Plot twist- Reva pulls a Severus Snape and reveals she's a double agent working for the Alliance, assigned to protect Leia and Obi Wan.
it very clear as to why vader is so ruthless during this time period; we have to take in account this is like prime vader he doesnt have anyone now and hes hell bent on finding/torturing obi-wan
Darth Vader is the space boogeyman...he predates the "modern horror" villains Myers, Jason, Freddy and Chucky....he the GOAT
She going have an heart attack with all the screaming 😂 😂 she do in every video 😂
