Happy new year everyone! As you've seen in the video, our staring boy D'Artagnan had been through a lot in the second part of 2020. But thankfully, he is doing well right now. And we'll continue to keep a very close eye on his health. And it'll be much easier than before because now, we know where he is at all times! As for Walter; I was actually going to wait until the grassy extension was completed before uploading our previous big video which shows the finished version of our whole garden. But as I mentioned in this video, the quarantine thing postponed our project for 3 weeks and I had to shoot the video of the finished version of the whole garden quickly before the rainy week arrived so that's why that video doesn't include the finished version of Walter's place. His previous place before we moved here was a lot bigger and it was all grass; but here, we just have to make do with what we are allowed.
By the way, Zoom came first in our poll; so in next week's video, you'll get to see her with her new mysterious "friend"!

Buraya taşınmadan önce kaldığımız evdeki yeri çok daha büyüktü ve tamamı çimendi ama burada site ortamında izin verildiği kadarıyla idare etmemiz gerekiyor.

My elder cat stopped eating. The Vet said he'd live 7 months. I remembered when my aunt had her jaw wired shut for medical purposes, they fed her by putting all her food in the blender.
So I got soft cat food, put it in the blender, and added water (about a cup), and blended it until it had the consistency of a milk shake. I called it "Kitty Milk Shake". My cat lived 7 more YEARS.

Your 755th BIG like. D'art is my favorite, and I too cried tears. Many years ago, my husband & I had a cat with markings very similar to his. We had our cat for 14 1/2 years. He was between 3-6 years old, when we adopted him from a shelter.
Actually, Walter is the name of his dog, and Santi is the name of one of his cats.

I watch your video's every day . Even , if they are older ones. They make me laugh. I don't laugh much anymore , my Husband passed in November of 2020... after 40 yrs. of marriage. It is May 15, 2023 and I'm still grieving . The only thing I laugh and makes me happy are your video's. Thank you, so much from Fl. , USA : )

Some problems can occur if you use 'normal' scissors with your left hand, because the movement of your hands can slightly press the blades away from each other.
I learnt my lesson years ago and have one pair of scissors in the apartment at all times. I'm also fussy about sharp kitchen knives!

@@JohnADoe-pg1qk This! I took my left-handed scissors to a sharpening service but apparently they're not familiar with left-handed scissors and sharpened it just the way they do normal scissors. The blades are very sharp but on the wrong edges. I have to use them with my right hand which defeats the purpose of having a left-handed scissors🤦🏻♀️

That frustrated scowl, glare, stare people give you when you are doing something that annoys them. I have a cat who is like D'Artagnan: very particular when and how he allows humans to pet him. His name is Cranky. I have a 17 year old cat that is very similar to Zoom; my cat's name is Grumpy.
I am so grateful for this channel. I have a terminal blood disorder, and 7 other chronic health problems that this channel helps bring peace and happiness to my mind, when I"m having very bad days with my health. Peace be with you, Brother, you are doing good work in this world.

My TNR cat showed me how he couldn't pee. He allowed me to put him in a carrier and take him to the hospital. How this outdoor cat knew he needed help and I would give it to him astounds me. That he communicated his need to me as clear as if he spoke gives me a new respect on how much cats know and understand. He spent a night in the ER and came home anxious to be out of the carrier. But with a blockage like his he normally would have died out in the wild.

@@morio9284 trapped neutered released. A feral cat who came to stay. Took 2 years to touch him. Now he sleeps at the end of my bed. He had a blockage in his urethra. When they catheterized him it cleared the blockage. Now he is fine.
@@debrabiderman4275 Do you feed him a strict diet of dry cat food? This happened to an old male cat I had once and the Vet told it was because of the ash content in the cat food. He told me to mix his food with wet. He was litter box trained/all he used, so I wasn't thrilled about the smell, but the things we do for love. He lived for 10 more years b4 liver failure at 20.

This poor dear little boy. It almost broke my heart seeing how poorly he became but now with love and such a caring Vet and a loving family it is wonderful to know that his full recovery is assured. What a brave kitty boy he has been. If i was there I would smother him with kisses.

You have to help them by washing face with a cloth and combing them
I believe that, on some level, D'Artagnan realizes you're trying to help him. He *is* acquiescing, though very reluctantly. I think he just wants to make sure you never forget that he DOES NOT LIKE IT.
I believe some of the medical care is read as "care" even by the animals. For example when I had my old cat(she died 3 years ago) she knew I was doing something good for her when I cleaned her, washed her and all of that. But I think she really didn't understand what was happening when I had to give her pills or give her injections, since those things do not have a "cat version" of them, they are very alien to them.

My cat is like that actually. She has a thyroid condition that means I have to feed her medication via a dropper every day. She never fights, never runs, but she'll meow a protest every. Single. Time. And twist her head away once as a token resistance before opening her mouth to let me administer it. She's a good old girl but she never let's me forget she doesn't like it.
Bless you for persevering with D'Artagnan and making him well again. I am going through a similar issue with my 10 yr. old black cat Coco. He has bad gums(hereditary) and lost several teeth a few years back. Now he is going back to the vet next month to have more bad teeth removed. I just pray that he comes through it all as well as your D'Artagnan did. Coco gets mad at me too after going to the vet, but a little bribery with some chicken breast meat usually wins him back to my side again! Loved your video.

i'm glad you showed how difficult and long a process it was to successfully treat d'artagnan. giving veterinary care even to socialized street cats can be very challenging. maybe you can get them in a trap once or twice, but after they've learned that being captured means having a traumatic experience at the vet (from their perspective), it becomes even more difficult to catch them, and an ongoing health issue can then spiral out of control, as you showed.
sometimes inexperienced cat rescuers will advise "just take the cat to the vet" any time a street cat has a health problem, but it's just not that simple. even if you can afford it, you have to make choices about what action you take, because one difficult capture attempt or stressful vet visit can destroy that cat's trust in you and you can no longer approach them for further treatment.
i'm very glad that your infrastructure made it possible to keep d'artagnan going to his regular vet sessions even after he became scared of you. like you said, that infrastructure was essential in saving his life.
This is very true about losing their trust. It's actually the same for children that's why they recommend that kids visit their pedia for just overall health checkup and not only for times when they need to meet the needle or what not.
Yeah. That's why I've been training my cat to eat inside his carrier and to one day go out on a park just so he won't associate being on a carrier to just going on a vet but he won't let his guard down lol. He would put his hind legs at the opening while the rest of his body was inside and he won't let me close the carrier door lol

I’m from SF too! I agree with you completely. I think UA-cam has changed people’s feelings about animals. There is a channel of a Russian couple who have a puma and a cheetah, and both cats act like VERY happy domestic cats. This couple puts a LOT of money, time, effort and love into making sure their cats are as happy and healthy as humanly possible. Right now, they are carefully working on getting the puma and the cheetah used to each other. They are VERY patient, and are introducing the cats VERY slowly and safely. This couple clearly knows that the big cats may never get along, so, they have large and separated enclosures for both cats. The puma lives inside the house, and the cheetah has an apartment of her own.
The puma had health problems since he was little, so the couple gives him medicine and lots of love. The fact that the cats have NEVER hurt the couple is a testament to how the couple knows what they are doing and truly love their big cats.
The cats were adopted from a local zoo, and I strongly doubt the cats aren’t happier living in a nice home where they get a lot of attention and care. I also suspect that the couple knows that two big cats are as much as they can handle.

I am not one yet, but it has dawned on me after spending my life gaining degrees and travelling the world and loving passionately.....THEY ARE RIGHT. I intend to be baptised, i know thw "world" will hate me but thats ok, animals are the greatest love of my life, especially my rescue cats, and the new world that is coming will make ALL animals safe, we will not eat them ( i do not anyway). All animals safe and loved! now thats worth looking into...........xx

The ribbon need more tension trying to cut a slack ribbon like that is impossible.
Actually, scissors are either right-handed or occasionally left-handed, if you try to use them in the wrong hand, as he did with the first two pairs, you force the blades apart and they will not cut.
The third pair were simply not big enough, they are for cutting single threads. The fourth pair were big enough and used in the correct hand - success.
I loved seeing Walter’s story. He is the cutest dog! I’ve never seen a dog fight with his own feet before.😂😂

@@ilinel1321 I wasn't trying to be condescending or anything, I just don't want people to take the sentence and make the same mistake. 🙂 ... Ways to advance your English? *Read as much English literature and wach as many English films as you can* (subtitles also in English, not in your native language).
The language level and genres are less important than the frequency, e.g. watch a three-min. news report in English every day. And make sure the topic interests you. Furthermore, I've had pen friends to improve my writing skills and also use my university's free "tandem" program (you name your native language + the language you want to improve -> and the system assigns your "perfect match" to you). I have made great friends that way, who are happy to correct my little grammar errors at any time of the day. 😄 And to get professional writing and speaking advises, language classes are of course the paid to go. If there are no schools/colleges in your region, check out online academies who offer video courses (where I come from, unis offer affordable courses for outsiders, too and those are actually quite good fun). Walter seems very happy with his new grassy enclosure. He is so happy about it that it has made him act silly! I am so glad that D'art is feeling well again. My poor baby D'Artagnan! He was so sick. I love him. His little smudges on his nose always looks like dirt but it's just cute little markings of color! I'm so glad he's well and has a loving human that takes care of him
I just want to take all his pain and ailments away. He's such a sweet soul who doesn't deserve any of it. You are awesome in how you take care of and care for your kids, bless you for giving him the best quality of life possible!

It’s a shame that animals can’t understand that we are helping them when we do certain things like taking them to the vet, clipping their nails, giving them medication, etc.

We almost lost an outdoor cat, because she did not show up for days. I finally saw her hidden in some deep ground cover vegetation when she moved her head one day. She was very lethargic and weak, so we saw the vet right away; he found the abscessed tooth, removed it and within a few days she was back to her normal self. Luckily we caught it before it was too late. He said many cats hide when they are very ill, like she did. So glad you were so persistent and loving with D'Artagnon. Glad he is back to his beautiful self. Thank you.
