  • Rosemary was raised to know what the distinct roles of a woman and a man in the home are. When she married her man, it was crystal clear to her what what was expected of each partner. Contrary to her expectations, hers turned out to be a different kind of man, one who put her role as the woman of the house, into question. #EngageMombasa #AgainstAllOdds

Wow! Rosemary! You described my husband and I. I once walked home to a pile of my cloths and shoes...I am not even kidding. Got so annoyed, I was sure I was divorcing this son of his mother. But before I did, a small still voice told be to see a counselor first. Turns out he is a perfect melancholy and I am a happy sanguine! So now? I understand him for who and what he is. You should see me on Sundays...this girl is usually on vacation aki! Mr. cooks, does dishes, irons, arranges...!!! And as you said, they do this not as a language of love or service, they do this for themselves. So I let him. And I curl up to a nice read. We are all winning. Thank you for this....I hope it will save many young marriages.
    Blessings!

Super proud of my high school English and Homescience teacher. The best advise on marriage, let us leave and Learn. I still remember how she used to talk about Mr. Mrefu (the husband) 😊

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Lady Rarieya,, you have taught me more than I have learnt in a lifetime not only about Gender roles but really how I frustratingly project my own insecurities by boxing people (vis-a-vis) based on my own values, mediocre narrow and selfish view of the world.......Great speaker....A great educator..Asante sana 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Great character you have, well spoken too. In today's world stereotypical boxes are null and void!

Gai what a great lesson. I went through the same when I met my Mann he is exactly what you just described and I decided to instead learn from him because in some areas and with a different culture and race he was doing things almost much better than I could so we decided instead of fighting he does things his way then me to my way then we c which one is much better and then we stick to it

    This was simply amazing.
We should strive to get out of those societal boxes that we are pushed into and be ourselves

That is OCD. Young people should talk about this before marriage. It really helps smoothen things.

Marriage means sharing sex life, food, habits, talents time, friendship, knowledge, education, lifestyle sometimes stupit, foolisness, unkempt men, dirty, unreasonable lound big boy trying to turn you into a stupid girl if you cant take it ...The road is wide, the gates are open the world is busy.you CAN HANDLE THE CHILDREN ...walk out, walk away divorce them live your life .FACE THE TRUTH..YOU WERE CREATED TO WORSHIP GOD ONLY. Not yourself, not that man or anyman at all..YOU ARE ENOUGH,YOU MEASURE UP.YOU ARE WONDERFULLY MADE TO PLEASE GOD..worship God alone.....trust,live,happily
Girls try try try cz you are created smart by THE CREATER.

You're wearing a dress of roses but marriage ain't a bed of them
