Question on mask, what happens if you mask subject (bird), mask background (everything else), then make adjustments on both, realize you now need to highlight birds head, select subject + intersect radial on birds head, and make adjustments. Now if I want to make additional adjustments to the birds body only the head shows adjustments. Do I need to make a duplicate of the subject? If so, which show the adjustments, the select Subject head or the intersect + radial head?
Hi, at last someone doing something away from land/seascape or portrait's. I do near the same for all my bird images, what did I learn from this video? How to darken the background I have been using curves to do it so thank you for putting me straight, trying your suggestion to darken background I find I am getting a light fringe around the subject how can I get rid of this please? Russ.

I would like to see the branch on the left either removed or made not so dominant. It takes your eye away from the bird.

Just curious, why not crop first? Is there an advantage to removing noise from the original file?
