  • This is an example of a very natural editing style for bird photography, which doesn't aim to alter the scene but only to enhance its aspect as it was originally.
    These are the steps I follow for the post-processing of most of my wildlife photos, although the "intensity" will be different depending on the starting point. This was a pretty good photo to start with, so it didn't require much work.
    Post-processing was performed only using Lightroom Classic.
    00:00 Introduction
    01:14 Photo Analysis
    03:03 Cropping
    05:19 Denoise
    06:34 General adjustments
    09:19 Selective Adjustments
    15:33 The final edit

    Well done. Liked and subscribed. 👍 I have had LR6 on my computer for more than 10 years until my computer died recently. Now I have a monthly subscription to LRC and it is like learning all over again. Lots to learn but videos like this are very helpful. Love your enthusiasm.

    I liked your editing techniques which sometimes other edits tend to over do. Many thanks. Subscribed

    Really loved this - it really gave me reassurance over some of my editing techniques that I have picked up being self taught, but also taught me a couple of new ways of doing things. Thank you and keep it up.😊

    great tutorial, grazie mille Chiara!
    I recently started taking photos of surrounding birds and squirrels.
    Once I have narrowed down my selection, I will apply your tips in Lightroom!

    Excellent tutorial Chiara! My workflow is very similar to yours. I tend to try Topaz AI before LR denoise as I like having more control but sometimes Topaz just can't get it right though. Then I go back to LR and try again. I haven't had a chance to use the point colour tool yet as I've only just upgraded but I will check it out!

    I know you are just getting started, but you really need to upgrade your audio. I think you find this will improve your views, I really enjoy your story, wish I had the guts to quit my job when I was young to follow my dreams . Keep the good work.

    Great video Chiara! My workflow is very similar to yours but for the masks I use Photoshop because the version of Lr doesn't have this option

    Very nice explanation, thank you for this wonderful effort. But I edit photos using Photoshop because it has the feature of removing unwanted blemishes. Photoshop also has the same features as Lightroom. I really benefited from this explanation. Finally, thank you again for your wonderful effort.

    Hi, do you think it is easier to precisely correct photos for example adding bokeh or sharpening using Apple Pencil with iPad than using trackpad on MacBook ? I am shooting wildlife birds photos

    Hi Chiara, how to you go from the modified photo to the original ? What is the keyboard shortcut ?

  • @tonyesposito9602
    @tonyesposito9602 8 місяців тому

    Hi Chiara our editing is very similar, but one thing I noticed you leave the profile on Adobe Colour, personally I don't like this profile and always change it to the Canon profiles I just think colours look so much better.

    • @chiaratalia_wild
      @chiaratalia_wild  8 місяців тому +2

      Hey Tony, I also use the Canon profiles. In this case as the tutorial was already quite long and already with lots of info I preferred to leave it as default not to overload beginners 👍

      It goes back to the days of Ansel Adams. @@chiaratalia_wild He was a master at dodging and burning all his photos. Where we do it with photoshop he was using a homemade contraption to do it. The Old purest have always said a true photograph never gets manipulated, that once you do you are creating image art. I guess I am purest. I hate to see people get into photography and get frustrated and give up when their photos don't look like the others they see. They never learned that all the photos they see have been manipulated in software and don't come out of the camera that way. That is why in my opinion I say it becomes an image instead of a photograph. but to each his own not judging.
