Hi guys , I love your vids, brilliant sense of humour, has me in stitches 😂. I start my bus driver training with first Sheffield on Monday 9th March. Any tips or hints please lads 👍
I laughed out loud listening to the 'Two Shauns' going on about the bus job! 🤣 😂 You two are a natural 'double-act' and I look forward to more of your videos from my home town of Huddersfield! .... 😁 👌 👍.....
Hi lads - I love this style of videos that you too Shauns did on castle hill, the banter, jokes and nice summery scenery, these videos are such a lift to watch on miserable winter nights. I hope you lads do more of these!
Serious: why do you have two seperate channels? The pleasure is not only doubled. You multiply each other 4×. In one channel you can also make seperate videos. This is a very good way to invite people to become a busdriver. Stronger than advertisements!
You two make a great double act, would love to work out of you garage, Never done OMO use to drive Routmasters. Now there a great double decker. Thinking of getting back into the job
Class vid guys! i always wanted to be a bus driver since i was little but that to me can only be dreams sadly because i'm visually impaired. i love watching other bus drivers channels.
Been watching your videos quite a lot over the past 18months, I haven't really commented but they give a great insight into the job. Recently an old friend who is already a bus driver managed to persuade me into applying, had my first drive last week, did about 3 or 4 hours, started in quiet areas then got thrown straight into city centre, seems weird going down roads marked bus only for the first time when you know the area as being bus only, but it was good fun anyway.
Talking about rural bus routes, we have one called the TP which goes from the centre of Manchester to Derby, via Stockport, Disley, Whaley Bridge, Buxton, Taddington, Bakewell, Matlock etc. On this route I love the OAPs who get on because there’s a couple called Alice and Tim who get on and bring me a Bakewell Tart and a Sausage roll without fail if I’m on shift. I have no idea why they do it but it’s probably down to human kindness to the bus driver
That Yorkshire Bus Driver. They are truly lovely. Then you get the people who just look at their phone and quietly say, ‘Dayrider’ whist still looking at their phone and then I print it off and they just sit down with no Thankyou just staring into their messages.
As a passenger, it is sometimes difficult especially if it is raining which Washington state it rains about 9 months a year so it is sometimes difficult to stand in the rain longer than normal.
Brad Green yep you never hear of a bendy or a single decker having a bridge strike but double deckers are in the news far too often might I add after striking low bridges doing various amounts of damage to the bus and or bridge
That Yorkshire Bus Driver you welcome. Thanks you I will have a good weekend too. I just hope there be no more thunderstorms. I don't like storms. ⛈😨😊😀
People seem more friendly on rural routes as opposed to city/town Center ones, I do have a question for you brad if you don’t mind what’s your company’s rules on creating videos like we are?
That Yorkshire Bus Driver Brad works for the same company as me but the South Yorkshire Division instead so most likely to be the same outcome that my channel had
Brad Green it’s always great to have more bus drivers making UA-cam videos, just a difficult one with our companies social media policy but fingers crossed the tricks I have up my sleeve will be well worth the long wait
Bus Driver Jonny Ours has only just changed and I just found out when I finished my shift today that due to my depot being overstaffed I might be going to York at the end of this month and to various Manchester depots during the summer holidays
Down in essex, my trainer was just like "SLOW DOWN!!! SPEED UP!!!!! SLOW DOWNN!!!!!" - Speed never changed haha On deckers, im not a fan of them either, not sure why. Ever find your way down to essex ill do a video with you both
Are you sure Yorkshire Tiger is owned by Arriva? You lads are VERY VERY different to other Arriva drivers. They are normally grumpy, late and not bothered about their job.
Transport for london tfl has taken all the bendy buses of the road and gave us the horrible new route master in my option i think the 1960s route master was alot better then the 1 they got now 😩😩😩😩
I tell u straight how it is job is sh1t no social life these guys seem to be fresh give um 2 yrs down the line realise jobs shit missed out all family life crap hrs middles spreads earlys. Give it 2yrs u will respect an office job. You are just a number been there done that just makes me laugh u can tell you are still fresh 10 yrs in the system. Great vids to encourage ppl joining but saying as it is.
Never a true word spoken I’m 5years in and I’m hanging in there, everyone these days is just a number but yeah the jobs changed and the shifts can be really hard to work around family and friends but I’ve learned how to balance it all and I really don’t mind
@@ThatYorkshireBusDriver we all have are different views Im sure most experienced bus drivers will agree with me not the dreamers. Yes I was like u was my dream job very hard to balance with family all for £££ notes ask your self the question why no drivers ???? Management dont have a clue accident or complaint straight up there tea and biscuits. Service changes shifts to much bad for a few extra quid. Btw not disputing your vid great for newbies who want to apply not even well paid for the first two years low wage I can rant all day. All the best lads you will look bk in a few years and realise.
Didn't take me that long 18 months as you say the 1st couple of years ahem months ahem weeks tell ya what first few days are fun then you pass all downhill from there on I massively miss the crack with co-workers though best part of the job
Andy O I do agree in one way you need them but, it’s a more personal connection with passengers and you can here them speak more clearly, and less rattles
That Yorkshire Bus Driver agree 100% we have the uni contract here and the buses have no screens much better and you can hear what they are saying properly, however some times and some routes your glad you have that bit of security on a night time, ideally buses would have screens that you could have up or down
Hi guys , I love your vids, brilliant sense of humour, has me in stitches 😂. I start my bus driver training with first Sheffield on Monday 9th March. Any tips or hints please lads 👍
Slow and steady, look all around you, wide round corner and remember to say hi when you see me 😉😉
That Yorkshire Bus Driver just seen this guy , he’s as genuine as he is on vids , I’ll take on board your tips Sean , thanks 😊
I laughed out loud listening to the 'Two Shauns' going on about the bus job! 🤣 😂

Fingers crossed 🤞
You have really Cheered me up by the joke with milk and bread! Good video guys! In Dundee there is a bus every7-8 mins
Glad you liked it, is that just one route or across multiple routes
That Yorkshire Bus Driver okay and I say thanks to the bus drivers!
Serious: why do you have two seperate channels? The pleasure is not only doubled. You multiply each other 4×. In one channel you can also make seperate videos. This is a very good way to invite people to become a busdriver. Stronger than advertisements!
Johan Wagenaar 😂 we’re always like this when where together
Johan Wagenaar but this type of thing in my opinion is much stronger than any advertisement
You two make a great double act, would love to work out of you garage, Never done OMO use to drive Routmasters. Now there a great double decker. Thinking of getting back into the job
Nice one guys, I passed an assessment and interview with First bus. I look forward to starting my training once I pass my medical.
Class vid guys! i always wanted to be a bus driver since i was little but that to me can only be dreams sadly because i'm visually impaired. i love watching other bus drivers channels.

Adam Flavell sorry to hear mate

Yeah it's hard not using them In Your car when your so used to using them
Brilliant video guys! Can’t beat that northern sense of humour and Yorkshire accent. Keep it up!
Thanks very much Stan, shame it was windy up on the hill 😂
Yeah but it’s a cracking view though. If only you two moved ya heads out the way so we could see it better 😉😉😉😉
StanButler we are very selfish 😂

Oliver Clarke it’s amazing when they fetch you treats :) bless them all
That Yorkshire Bus Driver. They are truly lovely. Then you get the people who just look at their phone and quietly say, ‘Dayrider’ whist still looking at their phone and then I print it off and they just sit down with no Thankyou just staring into their messages.
Oliver Clarke yeah I know what you mean
Absolutely love it!!!!
As a passenger, it is sometimes difficult especially if it is raining which Washington state it rains about 9 months a year so it is sometimes difficult to stand in the rain longer than normal.
Great Video guys and yeah I was lucky enough to drive bendys aye pleasure to drive such a great Bus Mercedes-Benz have really outdone themselves
+Bus Driver Jonny shame we don’t see more bendys around eh
That Yorkshire Bus Driver sadly not as the UK is too obsessed with deckers but bendys are safer and more efficient especially on busy routes
Bus Driver Jonny it’s a real shame
Bus Driver Jonny
Not to mention they can go under low bridges
Brad Green yep you never hear of a bendy or a single decker having a bridge strike but double deckers are in the news far too often might I add after striking low bridges doing various amounts of damage to the bus and or bridge
now then, from Brighouse originally and drove for First in Huddersfield for 9 month, but First York for 10 years now
Andy O hi they’re Andy York’s a nice place only been few times.
yep lovely place, miss the hills though flat as a fart here
At least there’s no doing 5mph up a hill if a bus feels ill 😷 😂😂
Haha I know when I used to do the Newsome circular going up newsome hill from town it felt like you wouldn’t make the top
😂 fun coming down thou
Hey guys, I drive buses also and I can agree with what you both said - good video
I like Volvo b7tl
Great video guys. Hope you both have a great weekend 😊😊😀😀
Sarah Cornelius thank you very much, enjoy yours to
That Yorkshire Bus Driver you welcome. Thanks you I will have a good weekend too. I just hope there be no more thunderstorms. I don't like storms. ⛈😨😊😀
Sarah Cornelius I seen there’s a lot forecast over next few days :(
That Yorkshire Bus Driver hope we don't get any in Kent. We had a bad one on Tuesday. Hope you don't get any storms at Yorkshire ⛈😊
Sarah Cornelius I like a good thunderstorm ⛈
Being a driver for first South Yorkshire I rarely get to drive rural routes but when I do I love it

What’s the test like for getting in what sort of maths questions do you get as I’m crap at Maths 😂
Would a company take you on with on a few months of having a driving license
I love this guys 😃
London Decker our first video together on a windy hill 😂
hi buddy after 25 years on the buses the best time is knock of time lol
SHARPEYS WORKSHOP oh most definitely especially when you’ve earned it
Down in essex, my trainer was just like "SLOW DOWN!!! SPEED UP!!!!! SLOW DOWNN!!!!!" - Speed never changed haha
On deckers, im not a fan of them either, not sure why.
Ever find your way down to essex ill do a video with you both
😂 I’ll definitely keep a note ;) we may see you one day
@@ThatYorkshireBusDriver unfortunately I'm not a Shaun 😂😂 tempted to start a vlog too

Hi guys u know of any bus company that will train me to be a bus driver in North Yorkshire cattrick
Why did you guys leave stagecoach?
I left to go coaching
Why do people say I don’t know how you can do that job ?
Transport for london tfl has taken all the bendy buses of the road and gave us the horrible new route master in my option i think the 1960s route master was alot better then the 1 they got now 😩😩😩😩
I'm Sean, the proper way of spelling it😂
😂 I’ve not met a Shawn in person yet

That Yorkshire Bus Driver ye but on a Sunday it is every 15-20 mins! But Dundee is a fast way of life
That Yorkshire Bus Driver ye
What's it like to be a bus driver in 1 word absolutelyhorriblejob
john wilkinson 😂
Shaun it's Glen when my dad passed away I took his email address over so everything wasn't lost lol
Me personally I prefer assault screen
Adam Skotnicki I just think they rattle to much on most buses
Rattle rattle rattle 😂😂 just so much nicer without one but I suppose it depends where you’re driving! 👌🏻
That Yorkshire Bus Driver best to have a screen going through some parts of Huddersfield, but then other areas ok
Andy O I do agree in one way you need them but, it’s a more personal connection with passengers and you can here them speak more clearly, and less rattles
