    I started with Detroit Axle a few years back and have had great luck with all their break stuff. Just ordered a whole front suspension setup for my 2010 Charger pursuit and it all looks at least as good as oem and they actually had the pursuit parts which some parts are a lil different listed.

    Not sure what you call it in the states... But can I preach to you our lord and savior Penrite Copper Eze.
    A dab of that on the studs and they'll tap out with a bird fart. With the amount of work you lads do, it'd be worth getting up to speed on wet v dry torque settings too. For example, with a dab of copper eze on the wheel nuts. You can get the correct clamping force at 20% lower torque. It makes life so much easier.

      Idk even with anti seize after daily driving it thru winter 5 times idk how much help it would’ve been when banging the studs out. It’s never been a task we do often enough that would’ve made me think to use it there.
      It also only looks like a lot of work when I do it lol. You tall folk can smack a stud out in 1 hit no prob.

    I would check front axle u joints if theres a noise during turning. Jack the front up and turn the wheels to each side when checking things. Checking stuff when the wheels are straight doesnt really do anything since you dont only hear it when turning.

    Add locking hubs then put a regular axle in where that locking mechanism is makes life better and stronger. On 44s in half ton trks I just got it straight and welded that splined collar on. I’m sure I know this but I wanna help ! 😂. If ur ever in central bama and need a hand reach out buddy have trailer will travel

      I do way too many cross country highway miles at 100 mph to be locking the front axle full time.
      I actually like the cad for my situation.

      @@superdwarf I get that but locking hubs keep it unlocked. Enjoy the ride buddy! I’m looking forward to the next adventure video.

    The front axle needed 75w-140 gear oil for the front. 80w-90 is way too thick and builds too much pressure it will blow the seals in the front axle. 80w-90 is fine for the rear.

    • @superdwarf
      @superdwarf  3 місяці тому

      If the breather tube is open as can be how’s it building pressure like that tho?
      I know several others running the same weight with zero issues. It’s always been my passenger axle seal too.

      Not sure. When I got the truck it was shot and empty on fluid. Found out when we serviced the diff.
      Fixed it and it lasted alittle over 2 years. Given how I drive the truck that was perfectly fair to me.
      But then this time we had the learning curve with the tool (didn’t do it ourselves last time) so I’m hoping maybe we just messed the seal up ourselves. I have a Yukon gear seal showing up anyday now and it looks to be a lot better construction. That plus knowing what we are doing should have us set for success this next time.
