Reality Stupid - Thanks man! Glad to! It was well drawn and colorful, and a really clear example of what I wanted to explain. Do you still make paper games?
Paper Game Co. Thanks! Yeah, I've been thinking about this topic for a while. I grew up playing PCGs my whole life & it was interesting to find out there's this whole other community of paper gamers out there doing something similar but also very different.
as a kid i had my own concept of paper games, now as a adult i just found out other people are doing this stuff. between kid and adult i actually learned how to make games on my own. Anyways I think combining a papergame like book and a AR app would be a cool idea. If I however would make such a game i would probably never sell such books because i have no interest in selling books and having such responsibility and i dont care for earning money(yes i am an adult 22 years old male) i go under the name wabsol now this is my old channel. Anyways I just wanted to say that ideas like these inspire people so i love them, have a great day anyone in this community :D
wardogel - that's really cool, I know the feeling all too well hahah. I started playing these games many years ago as well and only now I'm bringing it back. But hey, adulthood is the best time to make paper games! You have the benefit of all that experience & knowledge! Selling them's a problem, but hey, I haven't officially announced this yet, but I'm setting up an online PCG shop and the end goal is for the community to be able to sell on it, not just me! So you're welcome to use that when I et that up
Kirbythemelon 23414 - were they?! My bad, I had no idea. All the sources I could find were citing him as having started the whole thing. That being the case, do you know who did start it?
Kirbythemelon 23414 - ohhhh hahah. You're right of course, there were paper games of one type or another all throughout history. In that sense of the term, PCGs count too. In this video, I was referring specifically to the current youtube trend that calls itself "paper games" tho. It is kinda confusing that the IPGS paper games just call themselves paper games, lol. That's why I proposed a possible alternate name for them in the video, to specify.
Good explanation! Thanks for showing my video
