The omitted but implied "And as always, thanks for watching" was the most creative/clever ending to any video I've ever seen
Still gives me chills years later.
It shows that a silence can mean something, proving Michael’s point that he just narrated. Pure genius
8:11 the silence made me think
" every time he finishes a video he is saying his final words to us

I was more thinking some people don’t know they’re about to die, so they don’t know that what they’re saying are their final words, hence they don’t really count as final words. They are technically final words in the sense that they are the last thing the person said, but I think they are only really final words if the person saying them knows that they are the last words they’re ever going to say and are using them as such. Otherwise those words often aren’t as meaningful.

I like the fingerprint "i" one alot. It's the letter that is used to express one's individual self, and it is quite literally made of something that is unique for every human; a fingerprint. One of my favorite written lines that i got off like tumblr or something is someone did this WHOLE monologue about brevity, and about how they can't write short poems because they NEED to elaborate on everything, and they can't stop talking.
Someone replied to it with the entire post again, but everything was blacked out except for the line:
'I want to distill myself the way poets do.'
Now that's my primary poetry strategy. Just write a bunch of brain vomit and then pick out the most compelling lines- trim out the fat so the audience can fill in the gaps. It certainly works.

man, what a poem, this is what modern poems are lacking these days

The shortest poem would be any background.
Why? The background (commonly white background) is an important feature of any symbolic literatures. It represents the "silence" as no one makes any sound when encountering it, and it rhymes as it would be a repetition of a sequence of 1 note.
Moreover, there are a lot of meanings behind an "long" repetition of silence. It's basically a sound symbolism at its finest.
In addition, the background is also what allows our eyes to make constrasts with the drawn lines so that we can identify the letters.
From that we can make "2D" letters and generate backgrounds on a letter, and the letter would be embedded in a greater background, and repeat that pattern.
I believe that's peak poetry.

That poem is my life. No hope, nope.
I personally think one of the most poignant uses of silence in recent media that was pretty mainstream was in Bill Wurtz video History of Japan. When he went over the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by just showing a list of "cities that exist" and crossing them off after an explosion and ball of light on the map that fades into a few moments of total silence for you to soak in what happened and think about what it means to you. Everyone knows the bombings were rough, but the fact it has been drilled into us by the school system since a young age really mitigates the import of it. Having it simplified and recontextualized with no elaboration but silence for us to bask in was a really great move on his part.
