Yo, I just scored a 24 on my first Italian exam, so went looking up stuff on UA-cam to help me out. Your videos are by far the best ones I've found so far. Keep up the great work, and thanks for saving me in this class.
Three weeks into my Beginning Italian class. Your videos are so very helpful!! As a 64 year old, it is a bit harder for me to pick up the proper sounds of the language, so this is perfect for me.
I’m new to your channel. Thank you for making this relatively painless. As with most native speakers, you speak a little too fast to fully comprehend the correct pronunciation. No problemo! I simply adjust the playback speed to a desired setting. Mama mia!
Your way of explaning makes me eager to study Italian harder and hopefully can speak fluently soon. Thank you for your time and dedication. Salve dallo Yemen. 🌻
Aiuta davvero 4 tempi che hai trattato in un video. Per favore, fai altri video sulla nuova vita quotidiana usando i verbi per quattro tempi. Grazie mille
Just to offer some context, using the future tense for guesses makes sense because we’re saying that we don’t know the information right now, so we’re guessing what that information will turn out to be once we finally receive it.
"Sono comparsi" is a phrase I see a lot in documents. Or "Sono comparso". Was wondering why the same word is used for "They appeared" and "He appeared". Thanks for making that clear as well as so many other things about Essere. A little bit of pride admittedly to see "Sindaco" after a surname which is one of our family names in Pertusio in the late 1700s/early 1800s -- Falletti ;-)
I'm sorry. I made a mistake in the above. It is "Sono comparsi Falletti Mateo, di anni quarantadue fu Giuseppe, contadino e Vallero Bernardo, di anni cinquantaquattro fu Firmino, calzolaio" BUT it is merely "Comparso Terrando Giuseppe di anni venticinque di vivente Felice, contadino" Of course there is no "Sono" before just the one person appearing before the registrar. Sorry about that.
They all mean "some"... but be careful because some of them requires the plural form while other the singular form.😊 For example: I have some biscuits >> -Ho qualche biscotto -Ho alcuni biscotti -Ho dei biscotti
I have a question when we generate a sentence as we do at 12.03 shouldn't we use un or una? Ho una domanda. Quando facciamo a frase come nell'esempio 12.03 non dovremmo usare un o una...
Ciao Ebru! If you refer to the sentence "mio figlio dice che da grande sarà pompiere", yes, we might as well say "mio figlio dice che da grande sarà UN pompiere". Both options are correct. A presto!
Ciao Dayna! We are happy you liked this video. In Italian it is more common to put "io" first - so "Io e Mauro". However, "Mauro ed io" would work as well - we don't really have a preference regarding the order 😄
Scusami Manu. Il tuo video e molto bello! Sono confusa un po perche qualche volta quando traduci varie frasi in inglese, il significato sembra leggermente diverso. Per essempio: "Mio figlio dice che da grande sara' pompiere." La tua traduzione inglese e' "My son says he will be a fireman when he grows up." My english translation would have been "My son says he will be a great fireman." So, we do not use the verb "crescere?" Grazie!

Grazie, Manu! Tu sei un insegnante bravissimo! Questo video è stato molto utile come sempre. Hai detto che tu eri una pesta da piccolo. Perchè lo dici? Cosa avete fatto? Sarai ancora una peste?! LOL
When you say „We have been / we were“, and you are mixed males and females, is it same to when you guys are only males? Both are „Noi siamo stati“? Grazie!
Ciao Manu, non dimenticare che in questa lezione la forma Lei (formale) è usata con maiuscola, lei (informale) con minuscola! Non hai detto in questo video.
Wow 🤩 thank you so much perfect channel for dummies like me 😂❤ I can't wait to move onto your more advanced videos when I'm ready 🤯

This is so helpful. Grazie mille per il lezioni.
Sei un buon insegnante e spieghi bene.
Apart from the we form we add the present endings of Avere to the stem which is usually the infinitive minus the concluding e.
Ps to form the future tense

grazie for your comment and your support, James! 🤗
In Italian the neutral form is not used... in the past we used "esso" (masculine) or "essa" (feminine), but nowadays we say "lui/lei".😊
Why isn't that Italian people can't speak English but you are very good teacher...
Thank you for this video. I am learning it by parts though because it's a bit complicated.
💪😘
Grazie Manu, you helped me a lot.

Manu, in `sono`, is the first `o` open or closed? In `con` and `non`, is the `o` open or closed?
Don’t know if this has already been asked but, where did you get that shirt ?
Hi Manu, great video, but I'm now confused as to how you DO express the future in italian, if the future tense is for uncertainty! Peter
I was wondering the same thing!

Esatto 😊
I have question manu when do we use alcuni , qualche , dei, degli etc. Grazie mille hope you see it
They all mean "some"... but be careful because some of them requires the plural form while other the singular form.😊 For example:
I have some biscuits >>
-Ho qualche biscotto
-Ho alcuni biscotti
-Ho dei biscotti
Love the distinction you made in line with the question. Good teaher indeed. Grazie mille e un abbraccio.
