Quali started out ok, I didn’t have the best of starts but I started clawing back positions. I felt I was unfit on the pedally sections but I was gaining on people on the rough stuff. The first crash happened as I stopped in a chunky section because of traffic and got slammed into from behind sending me down the hill. My foot hurt like crazy after that but I chased on. The second crash happened as someone was on the line I practiced and I had to pick a totally different and much worse line. Not a serious crash but still got overtaken by 15+ people in total.
Ended up 49/125 putting me in mega challenger.
Unfortunately after limping in agony for a few hours after the race I went to get checked up and learned that I broke my foot. The Megavalanche rocks can be a bitch sometimes…
No more riding for me but I’ll be cheering on everyone racing from the sideline.

Good job! Watching that and seeing you brake more than you needed to time and time again because of having to pass people on single track...

Thanks! Yeah, everything’s way slower and way more exhausting when you have to brake because of traffic, I was almost 3 min faster on that track with less traffic in practice.
There are more vids from the mega coming :) enough to cover the 6 weeks I’ll be in a cast!
Mega awesome!! Have only seen 5 mins and already had panic how crowded it's in the start, and how though it's looks with all the snow. Almost get sweaty back home here in the sofa. So long you doing great. Now I will watch the rest. Go go go!!!!!!

@@HFODTNooo! A broken foot, wtf. But still you did a great race, you should be proud. Going over the finish line with Offspring in the the speakers and a broken foot is memories for life.
Maybe no bike park in Kisa for us in a while. Get better soon. Respect
@@KristofferLybeck thanks dude! I might be able to pull of a day or two in Kisa before the park closes this year, I’ll see what my physio says. Got Järvsö booked the last week of September so better be ready for that even if it’s xc on the e-bike 😂

Thanks dude, rode the track 2-3 min faster with fewer people on it, so the speed is there. But that’s the Mega, something bad will happen at some point. Question is how bad and at which point during the week.
