One of the fastest riders in the world showing pure joy, camaraderie, encouragement to other riders, and still finishing near the top. Truly inspiring!
I really appreciate these videos. I am 90 years old and now ride a trike on the streets near my house, building my strength back to ride two wheels. And these videos motivate me to keep going. I like that you enjoy riding so much, and you enjoy the fellowship of your fellow riders. But I especially enjoy those ‘hold my beer’ moments when you leave the trail, cut down the mountainside and, in doing so, pass eight or a dozen other riders. I do hope you scout these short cuts very carefully beforehand, don’t slam yourself into a boulder out there.
i am over eighty and have never really been good on a bike, but as a swiss woman i was a very skilled skire, ice skater and cross country skier, hiker and did some climbing. enjoy these videos and yes, kilian is a relly nice guy.
I usually can't watch POV ride videos, but man, the awesome courses, aggressive riding, sweet line choices, epic efforts and your evident happy attitude (and giggles), keep me engaged. I can see the smile that must be on your face.
Great ride and video! It's *not* always about the win - it was entertaining to see the three of you execute a plan and have fun doing it! As someone commented below, love the commentary and speedometer!
I wish I could watch this in VR. Man, that would bring this old man some great memories of my downhill, single-track, mountain bike rides growing up in Aspen, Colorado and Bisbee, Arizona in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The first time I ever saw a mountain bike was in 1978 when I was standing in front of a couple of friend's bike shop in Bisbee, Arizona. I was talking to the wife who owned the shop with her husband. While we were standing there talking, he husband came screaming down main street, from around Castle Rock as he came skidding up sideways towards his wife and me. I was in awe ... of him, sure, but mostly of the beautiful, metalic saffire blue Schwinn King Sting he was riding with the motorcycle handlebars and the knobby tires. That just blew my mind! I said to him, what the hell is that?! And he said "It's a mountain bike." and I said "Where can I get one?" and he said "You wanna buy this one?" and I said "You bet your @$$ I do!" Remember, this was 1978. I bought this bike for $750.00! That was half my monthly salary at the time. I was a licenced and certified Extended Duties Dental Assistant and I was making about $1,500.00 a month. A lot of money for a sixteen-year old in those days. Yep, I was a dental assistant when I was 16. (high school drop-out, self-educated as well as a film student from the U of A in Tuccon, Arizona). Anyway, I literally ran to the bank and pulled out the money, ran back up the street, handed him the money, and he handed me the mountain bike. I was on their bike racing team and we raced road bikes, mostly all over Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and a little in Utah. I usually placed in the top five. I never won a first place though. I did take 3rd place in my first ever road race which took place in Prescott, Arizona in the summer of 1978. The race was 80 miles and took us through Skull Valley, Arizona and back to Prescott. I would have placed 4th, I think, if the guy in front of me hadn't blown both of his tires. I used to love road racing. But, once I got that mountain bike, I was SO hooked! I found myself riding all over the hiking trails and 4 x 4 Jeep roads throughout the Mule Mountains (where the little copper mining town of Bisbee, Arizona is located), the Chiricahua Mountains, the Dragoon Mountains (this is where the famous Cochise Stronghold was, near Tombstone, AZ), Mt. Lemon near Tucson, AZ, Huachuca Mountains, and, of course, the Coconino National Forest near Sedona, Arizona.
Really enjoyed the laid back feel of this race. Also great vision on those modified lines you did to pass people in bunches. Loved the sandwich pass around the 8:00 mark or so. And the downhill part through the tight forest at about 30:45 looked fun as hell. Awesome race again and can't wait to see the next one dude!
I realize how easy this race is. I could kick butt. The only things I am missing are skill, talent, experience, and fitness. If I had just those few things I could win! 😅 I simply love these videos and I am more impressed with each one I watch. If you ever think of it, two cameras would be cool. One facing forward, one pointing backwards!
Merci Killian. 🫶
This is so exciting to see! I can't believe how you're managing to do it! It's as if you've lifted the fundamental laws of physics off their hinges! Incredible! I get shivers from watching and I'm almost falling off the couch while watching the video!
Absolutely love your races! We enjoyed a particular one, seeing it from Stephan’s point of view then yours. Loved watching you overtake him. Great stuff.
Bravo c'est toujours un plaisir de dévaler les pentes ! Mais vu le niveau de fou je suis sur qu'il est un extra terrestre ........................😂😂😂 Légende vivante !!!
Wow, even at my fittest I couldn't finish this thing in less than 8 hours. These guys just power through the hills and scream through the wooded sections like nothing. My co-worker's brother was a competitive rider and even on flat ground he would just leave us in the dust. He used to get from one end of the city to the other faster than you could in a car... and he was just middling good compared to these guys. It's easy to appreciate the athleticism and skills it takes to do this, but when you know someone that outstrips you whom these guys outstrip, you realize exactly how big the gulf between regular riders and the top really is.
I like seeing you just enjoying the race and having fun at the same time so friendly to all the participants. Goodluck and have fun for upcoming race. Ride safe as always. Greetings from Philippines.
Wow Kilian, i absolutely love these videos of yours. Every time I hear you laugh I know for a fact that you're enjoying yourself immensely as you go hair raising along at amazing speeds. You seem to be a right thrillseeker and take a few risks overtaking other cyclists. I love the way you respect each other too, as you pedal along like mad. 😅 I used to be hooked on cycling many years ago, and started off on a tricycle when i was a kid. When i got to a proper bike i loved being outdoors and enjoying my rides. I'm 59 years old this year and not sure if i can ride a bike anymore due to back issues. Love and respect dude. Looking forward to watching more videos from you! Wyn 😀👍
Geez, what kind of a bike does it take to govern over rocks like that?!?😳😳😳and the sheer accuracy and strength these guys have to not hit ANYTHING at such high rates of speed! I thought someone was going to fall off the cliff too, damn!!!😮
As someone who is crazy in a bad way (sociopath, struggling with impulse control recently) I could NEVER do this.... watching the start... I just kept anticipating and hoping he would turn left down that steeeeeeep part. I KNOW you cant... and I know I shouldnt... but I would still bet good money on me making that dumb left turn at 1:15 LOVE these videos!
Hello Kilian! There is my downhill 🚴 "monster" !! Ou est le Remontata ? ( How is my French?) When you race, I love to hear your sort of wicked little laugh 😉 I can tell you are totally enjoying yourself ! Living your best life, monsieur ! From Georgia USA avec ❤❤
Its like he even laughs all the time and others try to catch up with him breatheless xD What a beast :D This was hella enteraining and fun to watch! :D
I first thought that Kilian was talking to other riders as part of a strategy -- to break their rhythm, in his signature "calculating mastermind" style. But it looks like this was rather a small, just-for-fun event. Almost no spectators, very lax track limit control, the light attitude of everyone. He wasn't even trying to win.

One thing that helps is e-bikes, I’m 60 and think they’re awesome. At 90 there’s no shame in riding an ebike. It’ll be awesome if you get out there.
hey props to you for still riding at 90! :0

Riding these trails at high speed is itself a feat. The maneuvers to pass riders ahead are breathtaking. Much respect to Killian Bron!
He skips right over stuff.. He makes it look easy..
You have mechanical breakdown at the end?
I loved the speedometer from earlier in the summer, would be great to see in all the races! Sick race tho, you're a legend!
up!

Yeah with the position as well, knowing that he's 15th or 4th could be great !

Great Race...That dude wearing the red pants has great skill on those crazy switch backs.
My jaw was dropped for the first 3 minutes .....whoa...this was some crazy ride. Kilian's laugh shows he has fun.
