By the way, make sure that you torque it to only 23 ft/lbs; if you try 31 ft/lbs it’s gonna strip, (happened to me). So be careful, the guy in the video meant 31 n/m, which converts to 23 ft/lbs. I’m sure it was an honest mistake.
Best video for this situation I’ve ever seen even w/o details. Would love more for the 3.5 Chrysler! I hv an 06 learning and doing everything myself, so I need these vids!!
Thank you for this video, it’s well done with all the important information we need. My 2010 300 with 3.5l only has 70,000 miles and inevitably will lead to me having to do the rocker shafts. Super helpful video, thanks again and cheers
There has always been a ticking noise with my 2005 300 and now there is a knocking noise so I shut it down and going to do this this vid is good enough for me.
Most cars at this point need new injectors, so throw a set in while you are in there. Also, you should pre-oil the shafts before you dry start the engine.
3 big things then a lot of little things lol, question, do you have to soak the lifter in oil or do they pump up when running? I’m going to be doing mine soon. I hope it hasn’t messed my cam up. When it gets bad I usually turn it off then start it again and it stops.
Hey I'm sorry I am just seeing this, yes you can still drive it especially if it is still getting oil. Your problem is probably a slack adjuster. it will not be at optimum, but will be ok to drive until you get a chance to fix it.
WHY does Chrysler say that this "complete assembly" WILL NOT fit a 2008 4.0 v6 ? The "complete assembly" part fits a 2007, and every individual part listed for 2008 ALSO fits the 2007. Strange?!?

@djcezile9631's comment needs to be pinned.

And it's a good idea to cover the intake holes with a rag while your working on it

Hi just curious where did you order the full rocker arm and shaft assembly from ..thanks
Can you make a video showing how to disassemble the Exhaust and Intake from the Engine Rocker Arm
Thanks for the good info on the updated part number!
Is the 3.5 engine good? Like why people don’t like them?

Hay I’m new to this got a 2010 dodge charger do they fit as well ?
Did u have to soak it oil before u instal or did u just put it straight n?
When did Chrysler come out with the updated valve train design.
A lot of videos about this. Watch them all and make your informed decision.
I don't have to turn the cams to set the rocker arm assembly?
my tick is very little (probably just one) and still disperses fresh oil onto the rockers and has all lashes could i still drive it?

Do you need to bring a cylinder to tdc?
