Good call on the converter. I accidentally shorted out the power in my hotel room during orientation 😂
Hahahahaha! See!!! This is why I added this recommendation 😂😂
Prob the best Korea government quarantine video in UA-cam. Your so cute
🥺🥺🥺🥺 Thank you so much 😭
Thank you so much for making these 🤗
More videos to come 🥰
Those are really good tips Megan especially the one about heating food and also laundry. Also I really enjoyed watching this video as well. 🙂
Thank you so much for all of your videos! It helps a lot and you seem like a nice person :)
So happy to help! More videos to come 😊
Thank you for the sweet compliment 🥲
Thanks so much for taking the time and effort to educate those travelling to SK! I've been thinking about going and this really helped! 🙏
So happy to help! Definitely would recommend visiting at least ❤️ I love it here so much! No place is perfect but it’s an amazing country~
I filmed an updated quarantine tips video that will come out eventually so lookout for that too 🥰
항상 좋은일들만 있길 바랄게요!!!
감사합니다!! ☺️
Very informative and funny!
Going to Korea in 2 weeks. Thanks so much for all the info. Btw you're absolutely adorable.
I’m so glad I could help you!! 🥰
The Edbasmaster reference looool wouldja just look at that
🤣👏🏼 I’m glad someone knew it!!
Tip on volt converters: Check your electronics first. Most major electronics are 110-220/240 (laptops, etc.) so you may not need one. I'm having trouble finding a dual voltage electric hotpot though.
Yes! You might not need one! But usually I’ve always ended up needing one for straighteners/hairdryers and I’m cheap 😂🙈 but thank you for the tip!
Moving to Korea in under a week, thanks.
I’m glad I could help!! Let me know if you have any other questions ☺️
I've heard that it will ease quarantine for Korean who get vaccinated fully on abroad so foreign workers to come to Korea will also be exempted from this quarantine soonest! :)
That is why I tend to watch some of these videos. I want to know what to have, to be prepared.
Smart thinking!!!
Do you have any recommendation for what types of luggage are best for traveling?
Sub #998 yay! hope you make it to 1K soon
THANK YOU so much! So, so close 🥰❤️
Thanks for making this video Megan! Really helpful. One question - you mentioned there isn't any regular cleaning service at the facility so what about trash disposal? Is there a way for you to throw/leave the trash outside?
Everyday there a set trash time! You are given biohazard trash bags to put all of your trash in for the day. I would recommend you check out my quarantine vlogs for more information - I give even more tips in those. ☺️
@@MeganOsten Thank you!
You are funny 😂
Hello. Im not sure if you will see this, but I was wondering if you could recommend a power converter for flat irons/curling irons? I get so confused with the voltages haha. I'm traveling to Korea soon!! Thank you for such helpful videos!! :-)
I reply to everything I can 🥰 In the description box I recommend a converter that states it will work for flat irons/curling irons (and has good reviews). It’s difficult to say for sure because I don’t use any of those products on my hair - but I hope that helps!
@@MeganOsten omg.. completely skipped through that part, FAIL! Hahahah! my bad!! Thank you soooo much! I appreciate it!! Can't wait to get there!! :-)
No worries at all!! Safe travels coming here! Can’t wait for you see & experience South Korea~~
If you don't mind me asking, what do you use to compile all your captured videos into one? final cut pro?
I actually use iMovie with a lot of “cheating the system” skills I taught myself 🤣 I also use my iPad and procreate a lot for overlays
Hi Megan! I just found your video about quarantine in Korea. I want to ask about how much you paid for this quarantine with the government facility? I will move out to Korea (probably) this August too, so I need more information about it. Your video helps me a lot! Thanks in advance~
Government facility quarantine will average around $1400-$1600 (but technically the rules say it can cost up to $2100... So I would be prepared to spend up to $2000 and be happy when you *hopefully* spend less ☺️)
Safe travels coming here!
@@MeganOsten Thanks a lot for your information Megan!
i’m surprised at number 4 about cleaning considering the whole covid situation! i thought they would be going to further lengths to clean
I know right! I was really surprised too. I guess they see it as “you obviously don’t have the virus” so they don’t have to go to such extensive measures anymore?? Either way, it’s not horribly dirty (just surprising).
Where do they bring you when your finished quarantine back to the airport? Il be going to busan straight after quarantine
Please watch the Tmoney card I made and it explains where they will drop you off ☺️

Love it ahahaha dishwasher I legit say that a lot when I mean clothes washer. Cracking me up. This is super helpful. I’ll be there in two weeks. I’m hoping that I have luck with meals like you. Did you choose the vegetarian option? I think I saw you post that in the last video. I’m thinking to go with the vegetarian option. And the pot omg girl sooooo helpful thank you!!!! Watching you is so soothing tho haha
Hahaha I’m glad I’m not the only one 😂
I’m so happy I could help! I picked vegetarian so I could eat healthier. Also, fruit is very expensive in Korea so getting fresh fruit for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was a massive treat. Also helps my massive sweet tooth 😅
But thank you for the love and compliments! Let me know if you have any questions at all on Instagram (@MeganOsten)
@@MeganOsten yesss love of course!! And def my fiancé has complained to me a lot about fruit prices haha. I’ll follow you on Instagram now! Looking forward to your future vids! 💕💕
So do they not clean or disinfect between each person who stays in the room?? Also, I only have an adapter lol I didn’t think of converters... can you buy things online and have them shipped to your room? If so, I’ll order one when I’m there
I feel like they HAVE to clean somewhat.... they change the sheets and the bathroom seemed very clean, but it’s definitely not a deep clean...
Converters are always necessary but recommended. Many electronic devices are duel voltage (so they convert on their own... like Apple products) but if you look at the labels of your device to see if they are duel voltage or not. You can always call the front desk and see if they have one you can borrow!
Sometimes you can order packages to your room but they might not get there in time. So be careful and look at shipping very closely.
I heard from other people but do they also have a plug adapter that you can request as well? If so would you keep it or would you have to return it?
One of my friends requested one and she had to give it back (or be charged a fee). Good question ☺️
It would be better to bring your own tho since they may not have enough for everyone
(best)(best)(best)(best)(best)(best)(best)(best)(best)(best)
Dishwasher 😄
Hi! I am moving to SK! The thing is I have dietary restrictions because I’m a transplant patient so I don’t know if I can request my own food because I can’t have everything or anything and it’s giving me bad anxiety
Hmmm.... what visa are you going on?
@@MeganOsten long term
Great! Then you can stay in an Airbnb for quarantine and order food yourself through food delivery apps (just make sure you purchase a Korean SIM card in advance... or I guess have a really lovely friend in Korea that can take phone calls for you when you order food).
I have watched your very great and informative video so I’m all set! And I just got an email from my recruiter so I get my own apartment! Which is probably air B and B! Are you into BTS? Just curious cause that’s why most people go to Korea! I love BTS but it’s not the reason I’m going :)
I’m so happy to help!! More helpful videos to come ☺️
I’m actually not into KPop very much but occasionally I like to listen to their music when I’m working out! Living in South Korea.... if you like KPop, you’ll either grow to love it so much more... or the opposite 😅
Hi megan.
Do they have spit pcr. You did the nasal pcr. There are options.
You don’t have a choice… sadly. In South Korea I only ever saw nasal and throat tests (because they are more accurate)
Where can I reach you privately?
With a professional question
Got it.
Please erase. So it doesn't become public.
Do you think its possible to bring air fryer?
Hmm… I never thought of that! Hmmm… I guess you could? Just make SURE you bring a converter if you do - converter link in bio (I just think the pot is easier to bring and then you can warm up soup and make ramen too!)
The only thing I need is Wifi, do they offer wifi in these hotels ?😁
Yes! I would bring an ethernet cable if you want a faster internet connection for your computer. But there is wifi - just sometimes it’s slow
Are the sheets at least clean? :(
I brought my own sheets.... so I didn’t look very hard. But!! It’s not horrible at all. I wouldn’t worry - just be warned and come with cleaning stuff!
This information is so helpful! Thank you.
@@faithcole3187 So happy I could help! 😊
