It’s beautiful seeing someone’s appreciation for their work and how it manifested so naturally. He seems just as interested in his career as he was during the first game. And so grateful, great inspiration.
I've had contact with Mr. Bateson via email. I was upset they didn't cast him in Hitman Absolution because i had been playing Hitman Codename 47, the first one and all of the Hitman games. And they said they didn't even contact him for the role at first. Luckily he got the part for Absolution But i'm so grateful seeing David Bateson still being Hitman 47, it wouldn't have been Hitman 47 without David Bateson :) Thanks
This is the voice of my childhood/youth, all the way up until now, and hopefully even longer. Hitman has always been my go-to franchise ever since "Codename 47" was released. The gameplay and replay value of the games, especially the World of Assassination trilogy, is amazing, and the aforementioned trilogy exceeded all my expectations. And now there's even the VR-mode (janky as it may be) and mods to add even more fun to the games. There's also something quite eerie about hearing the voice of 47 laugh, because you'd NEVER expect 47 to laugh. Ever! And if he did, it probably meant that he had snapped, and then we'd all be fucked. 😅
Excellent interview. Thank you Mr. Eliot. I think there's something else what was unsaid. Both David Bateson and 47 have and may even share a particular sense of humour.

47 is already kind of an anti-hero, sort of a villain lol.
Max Payne Retired, Solid Snake Retired, Splinter Cell's Sam Fisher retired but Hitman Agent 47... Will never Retire.
Wait Mario's last name is Mario?
@@bakerstreetdoctor978 the Italian who helped Enzo Ferrari for testing Ferrari was also named Mario
I'd give ya a like, but I think I prefer it where it is
I love the fact that one of the best interviews I've ever watched belongs to a channel with less than 500 subscribers. This is awesome!
Thanks David sir. watching this video reminds me my childhood. Love Hitman.
James Bond trying to track Agent 47 storyline - I'm sold. Shut up and take my money.
i grew up playing hitman series i love his voice always have
i played hitman since codename 47 and this voice is soooo nostalgic !!
thank you
I am sorry I cannot give this more likes. Thank you for the interview Mr. Eliot and thank you for giving me a wonderful childhood Mr. Bateson!
Dude is a huge part of my childhood and adulthood! Love this guy!
I cant imagine anyone else but David Bateson playing as Agent 47, and to this day, Blood Money is still my favorite out of all the Htiman Games.
I hope in some distance future they make another Hitman Game
Nawww Hitman 3 is the last Hitman game in the Hitman franchise
@@princesam4401 its the last game in the new trilogy. But it may get picked up again potentially. Or who knows IOI may always go back on it and make another one.
20 years voicing him. And it grows on you. I really feel like agent 47 is slowly growing a conscience… ok, no, not really. But he substitutes his lack of empathy with knowing what’s wrong and right. He should be proud of his character.
He's so modest & very nice person 💙💙
i got chills when he did the bond lines
what a wholesome dude tho, cool to see the face behind the voice
i just love this guy. charming, charismatic, handsome and strangely hilarious! hitman has had a tremendous impact on my life. the character and a voice that has helped me through so much hard times throughout my life. fantastic interview, phenomenal actor and personality. thank you from the bottom of my heart david and wishing all the happiness and success. and what a legendary ending😂🤘
His voice is like melted butter
Fantastic interview, great back and forth, and the intro/ending wrap around was its own mini-theatrical production. David Bateson *is* Agent 47. Enjoyed every minute.
His voice looked exactly like i imagined.
His voice is PERFECT for the character and the appearance and the whole style. Not to mention, 47 has been a character that is always shrouded in mystery… and this man looks as mysterious not going to lie. This man will always be the 47 we know.
Oaky, smoky, with a hint of danger ... and that's just my aftershave. - Agent 47 in Moonshiner promo clip
You can really hear the lego city adverts whenever he says "hey" love how hitmans voice also saves lego lives
Never thought about how the Voiceactor looked, wow it fits perfectly, he is a super cool guy!
It’s beautiful seeing someone’s appreciation for their work and how it manifested so naturally. He seems just as interested in his career as he was during the first game. And so grateful, great inspiration.
The Man, The Myth, The Legend.
David Bateson is Agent 47.
I read that as Jason Bateman for a sec and had to double take
I wanna see David Bateson and Kevin Conroy interact each other
10/10 for the Ending now make it a movie
I've had contact with Mr. Bateson via email. I was upset they didn't cast him in Hitman Absolution because i had been playing Hitman Codename 47, the first one and all of the Hitman games. And they said they didn't even contact him for the role at first. Luckily he got the part for Absolution
But i'm so grateful seeing David Bateson still being Hitman 47, it wouldn't have been Hitman 47 without David Bateson :)
Thanks
What are you talking about he did voice Agent 47 for Absolution
@@richieplaysgames3087 Yeah but in the first trailer of Hitman Absolution he didnt do it. Maybe watch the video and you will understand what i meant.
@@richieplaysgames3087 yeah he wasn’t originally cast for Absolution. Safe to say fans weren’t happy about it
@@Kamelryttare but the way you wrote your comment made it out like he didn’t voice him at all but good to know he got to voice him in the end
@@richieplaysgames3087 aha ok sorry for the misunderstanding :)
That ending skit was *chef's kiss*
Old man 47 coming out of retirement for one last job
Watching this interview with my phone's battery at 47%.
He seems like a genuinely kind and awesome guy.
If there is one person I wish to meet in this life is David Bateson. I've enjoyed every game growing up, It's been a big part of my life gaming. It's the only game I can change within the level my way. I love that!. Also I couldn't see anybody voice being 47 but Bateson*. I wouldn't even think twice of buying a HITMAN game without his voice attached to it. Still working on III, amazing so far...
I haven’t met him but I emailed him once and he emailed back. Very nice man.
