I think for Robert Plant it´s not about success or money, it´s about music, and this is why he´s growing and evolving and trying new things. He´s intelligent and creative and for that kind of person, it´s impossible to stay in the same box for the rest of his life. It´s about music and joy.
Yes I truly agree with you 1000% percent. Robert is enjoying his musical life road path as a musician he's been on while going thru changes as he gets older but getting better too.
Let me tell you folks...I saw him in concert in July 2013 and he rocked it out. He still has it...go see him live. Should be on your list of "Things to do before I die". Totally magical....I'll leave it at that.
I agree its all about Roberts love of music...his passion clearly shines through.. I love he challenges himself . Follows his gut. Does what he wants. Always moving forward. Yes you did kick arse. Always learning. Following his musical journey around the World...There has so much great music created since its origins in the Blues....I understand his thirst for all types of music....A cute scavenger...always so humble..honest...great stories of musical adventures....you could never be dull or boring Robert....love listening to your interviews. So eloquent . Modest...But we all know you know exactly what you're doing...enjoying your life and makin great music. Having a ball. ❤❤❤ .
I'm a major zepp fan, glad he doesn't want to do a Led Zeppelin reunion for the sake of cashing in on it. Leave their legacy alone. wouldn't be the same without Bonham anyway.
i dont know about that guys ! ALOT of us LOVE his solo career esp the first 4 or 5 albums then we grew into his changes from there on also! and NOW we are here with you watching this interview! im amung many 1000's when i say "WE have enjoyed his music all along ! from SLOW DANCER thru THE ENCHANTER and on & on!"
As a long time Zeppelin fan, I've often been put off by Plant and his sometimes condescending, pretentious manner, but this was one of the best interviews that I've seen with him. Thanks to Robert and Jimmy for inviting John Paul Jones in for a (much deserved) slice of the pie for the 2007 reunion show. The band was incredibly good ( I actually thought that JPJ was the best of the lot!) and Robert's vocals were clear, crisp and without excess. I hope that we haven't seen the last of them...
I agree with z1inspector. If you don't know at least 20 of 10000 solo songs from his many albums how did get to this point of following his work. I am glad to say myself if I met him I could at least sing just as many of his songs he made as a solo artist as much as Zeppelin. Still a looker too!!!
ah now, it wouldnt be for the sake of cashing in on it. The 2007 reunion was incredible and the demand is well and truly still there. I dont think they should pull a Rolling Stones on it now, but a few more mindblowing performances would not go a miss. Jason Bonham is an incredible stand-in for his late-great dad too
Robert is all about the music....its why he's so good! Led Zep III has always been my favorite Zep.......love Mighty Rearranger......would love to hear Alison Krauss sing Ferry Cross the Mercy....
Robert Plant's set @ EP was wonderful (check out my UA-cam clip); spoke to Andy Kershaw who spent time with Robert afterwards and his great love of music is still so evident, all he wanted to talk about was Chuck Berry's 'Promised Land' !
Yes, OK, Led Zeppelin were a cool Studio recording Band. The discerning listeners' ear will hear 2/3 Guitar tracks, yet only one Guitarist. How did Jimmy Page do that? Well, he put down multiple Guitar tracks. It's called deceptive cheating. It is physically impossible to play Lead & Rhythm Guitar simultaneously. The best and greatest LIVE Rock Band of all time, STATUS QUO, actually recorded LIVE in the studio. No cheating, no extra tracks, just genuine and honest Rock n Roll. It is so LIVE, that you can hear THE QUO talking or even shouting to each other or the Sound Engineer during the recording of the finished product. RICK PARFITT is the best & greatest Rhythm Guitarist of all time & FRANCIS ROSSI is the best & greatest Lead Guitarist of all time. Jimmy Page could only scratch his head in wonder & amazement at how great STATUS QUO'S PARFITT & ROSSI were/are. Some Bands record each instrument separately, which to me is very sterile, like QUEEN. As a Drummer myself, I could only play as a unit, not without any music to play to. When I taught myself to play the Drums, I would put my headphones on and play along to all the great Bands and Artists. I was virtually their Drummer. That's how I turned out to be a proficient and effective Drummer. That's being modest. As a LIVE Band, Led Zeppelin leave a lot to be desired. They were very ' ordinary ' They really needed 2 or 3 Guitarists to play LIVE. Some Bands like GREEN DAY actually have what's called a Touring Guitarist visible on stage. ZZ Top had a Touring Guitarist that played in the shadows at the rear of stage. Ironically, the Australian Band, Goanna, had 3 Guitarists and you could barely hear one Guitar on their No.1 Hit song " Solid Rock " Great Band and great song. Goanna only needed one Didgeridoo player, though.
LOL The interviewer said it all @ 11:45, basically "nobody would give a shit about what you're doing now or look you up on youtube if it wasn't for Led Zeppelin".. 1000 people were surveyed "name a song Robert Plant did after Zeppelin". None knew one.
Actually I really think they all made each other famous it was a group, they could not have done it without each other. All of them together maid Led Zeppelin

Robert ... making a lot of sense ...... what a brilliant interview ......fantastic singer : )
David Bowie has great admiration for Dave Fanning. Funny Fanning probably remember more about the artists than they do.

I wonder if Robert reads these comments. His voice IS a musical instrument!
I'm hopeful they reunite again

Yea yea robert, jimmy made you famous , stop playing his music and write your own.
Oliver Patrick Loughnan - In Jimmy’s interviews he talks of Robert’s writing.. maybe you should check a couple out..
Actually I really think they all made each other famous it was a group, they could not have done it without each other. All of them together maid Led Zeppelin
i wish he would stop bullshitting and do a finale reunion tour with led zeppelin
Without the led zeppeling spring board...he would never have been as successful...
Not a great voice in all truth!
Not a great voice..? Yeah. OoooK. 😂
