It's also interesting to watch BeeFighter while comparing with US ver :)
I would like to do that myself if I could find a English Subtitled version.
Janperson is a unique show in that it stars a person who in the Heisei era does mostly bad guy roles, big or small(the guy who played Janperson is Leo Zodiarts from Fourze)
whereas his opponents are mostly veteran protagonists from Sentai & Rider, the most recurring enemy Bill Goldy is played by none other by Shun Sugata, Kamen Rider ZX's actor, it's Shun's longest appearance/first recurring role in a Toku show, ironically
Also VR Troopers in America was made from 3 metal hero shows combined together which are Metal Hero Series: Superhuman Machine Metalder, Dimensional Warrior Spielban and Space Sheriff Shaider.
@@tougakun There was supposed to be VR Troopers Season 3, that adapts Blue SWAT.
Great video Taka san! Yeah I enjoy Metal Heroes. I've watched Janperson and Jiban and I really liked them. I'll have to watch the whole shows at some point. I have only seen a few episodes
Metal Hero is the most popular tokusatsu franchise in Brazil! ^^ The Brazilian TV showed all the series from Gavan to Solbrain in the 90s and it's possible to find them dubbed into Portuguese nowadays. BTW, Juspion and Jiraiya were showed again on Brazilian TV in 2020 with very high TV ratings :P
Very good English by the way all that time was well spent learning English
Kyojū Tokusō Jasupion and Jikuu Senshi Spielban 😎
The space sheriff series are each incredible in their own way. Uehara is a legendary toku writer. I gotta say though, my favorite Metal Hero series and favorite toku of all time is Metalder.
My favourite MH series would be Gavan, Sharivan, Spielban, Jiban and Tokkei Winspector.
I think the first show, Gavan, is great and very easy to get into. It's simple, very fun, the main character is really charismatic, played by The Man, and the music is awesome.
I remember watching Kamen Rider X Super Sentai X Metal Hero and it featured Space Sheriff in it
Metal Hero made a lot of success in my country here they aired Sharivan, Shaider, Gavan, Jaspion and Jiraiya. Jiraiya and Jaspion had a huge popularity here and still have many fans here. Fun fact! This year we had a official comic book telling the story of Jaspion after the show finale, it's called "The Return of Jaspion"
Really want to read that comic!
I would love for Metal Hero to come back! I really enjoyed the US versions under VR Troopers and Beetle Borgs!
Agreed! Metal Hero has anther charms!
I've watched a bit of the original Gavan. The theme is great and so was the ending. I really didn't know about Metal Heroes until the new Gavan, Sharivan and Shaider movies, but Gavan seems so familiar to me. I also did watch Kyuranger Vs Space Squad cause Kyuranger is my favourite Sentai.
Kyuranger vs Space Squad is really good movie
My problem with Metal Heros is that it's always, always about the main character or hero. Maybe he makes friends but for the most part he is fighting alone with mild support. I like the idea of Kamen Rider where the main character is pretty strong already but then other rivals and heros show up that are almost just as strong.
I watched Shaider and Gavan as a Kid and Janperson is my most favorite Metal hero.
I think Heisei Kamen Rider Phase 2 is somehow a modern version of metal hero series because there's too much weapon,
May I ask why did the metal hero series production stopped?
It because Heisei Rider series was successful. They consider to make Metal Hero again sometimes(I think around Faiz and Blade) in the past but Heisei Rider was really popular, so could't stop it at the time and even now
Anyone remember vr troopers it's based on metal hero series...
The first and so far only Metal Hero series I’ve completed was Juspion when discotek released it on blu-ray in the US last year.
Of course.
I haven't seen alot of metal heros but I have seen the modern space sheriff and the first 2 episodes of jiraiya and blue swat I'd really like to watch more jiraiya but toei has yet yo upload past episode 2 on their UA-cam channel
Thank you for the advice. I'm interested in watching some of the Metal Heroes series and The B-fighter adaptation, Big Bad Beetleborgs, is one of my favourite shows that I watched in my chidhood
Hope you enjoy Metal Hero series more and more!
for me metal heroes is like japanese version of robocop.
Because origin of Robocop's design is
Gavan
@@kotetsutoysjapan Welp ahaha lol.... my bad I thought robocop older than metal heroes series. I growing up with Robocop in my country.... I know about metal heroes because of Kamen rider though ...Iam more of kamen rider guy if talking about tokusatsu.
If you want a more serious story, I also highly recommend Metalder!
Well I started watching Solbrain Jiban and Winspector now Yeah cause I'm big Fan of Deka and Drive 😄😄😄😄😄
Have a nice watching!
Jiban is set in the same universe as Jiraiya, at one episode Manabu Yamaji, Jiraiya's brother appeared and helped Jiban with a case, not just the actor, but literally as the character from the show Jiraiya
And iirc Janperson also have a crossover with Blue Swat?
BeeFighter last 2 episodes are
Janperson and Blue Swat crossover episode
May I suggest: why does Toku have so many episodes ?
I would start with 90s series, namely one of the Rescue police shows or Janperson. I know Toei has an International tokusatsu UA-cam channel that officially post them with new episodes each week. The only thing is that they need more help to translate into different languages, as they only have the first 2 episodes in English.
When you look at kamen rider starting Heisei onwards, it really has absorbed the elements, themes, and designs from Metal heroes, such as kamen rider G-3 in agito or how the Sect Riders in Kabuto are A LOT like the B-Fighters.
Personally, I'm enjoying Sharivan and Solbrain, even though they are without English Subtitles yet. I have also enjoyed Jiraiya and Winspectors, because I love Ninja and REAL MEN RESCUE BABIES!
BTW, can you speak Japanese ?
I wanna revive the Franchise, by makin the main Character totally not Ironman.
The unfortunate thing about the metal hero series is that quite a few of the shows haven’t been fully subbed in English yet like blue swat and I don’t know Japanese so I can’t really watch them.
Hope Toei will consider to upload video with subs!
