One of the better home made trollies.
    Thanks, you've helped.

Great Idea! I thought about building one out of a old dolly but trying to cut unneeded weight.
New friends here from Trail Trash Outdoors! Thanks for sharing!

Looks great - did you use the same specs as in the original video that you referenced? I also have the Lifetime Sport Fisher.

+John Dunworth I took a 1/2 inch off each of the uprights (3" and 4" in the reference videos) to make it a bit shorter. I also altered the width a bit. I can't remember what.measurement I settled on but you should be able to measure yours so the supports fit in the hull contours. I also added some length to the handle and then cut it back when I used it (since it's not glued it's easy to alter). I also added that bolted cam buckle before gluing.
The angle on the t that makes the handle is important, be sure to dry fit everything and mark the angle that you want that at since if it is too high you won't be able to slide the cart under the hull correctly. I came close but just barely fit. Actually, if you make it 90 degrees it will work, I just angled mine up a bit so I wouldn't have to bend over as much. :)
Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions.

Was the rod you used for the axle already hollow or did you core it out. Also where did you purchase it?

How has this held up and do you think it would support a 13’ kayak

It has worked great. I only have experience with a 10' kayak so I can't vouch for a longer boat. But I don't think it should be a problem. Good luck!
