The opinions are my own, based on my own experiences with the product. Not to be used for reference or as gospel.
I really like the Kuprin. It behaves well, with no feathering or spread, and the color is interesting, unusual and attractive. It’s totally waterproof and a bit on the dry side.
I also recommend a waterproof deep purple, Noodler’s La Reine Mauve. It’s wetter than Kuprin and also lovely. On some papers it will spread a bit.
I love Noodler’s. They’re about the only brand I trust to perform and am not hesitant to buy by the bottle because I know I’ll use them. A lot of people hate them because they reference history, which a lot of people for good reason have a hard time facing, but for me that’s one more nerdy attraction.
U COULDN'T HAVE SAID IT BETTER !
why would people hate the history references? This makes me believe they are playing the "victim card" or whatever. Learn from the past but don't hold grudge, it already happened. I think the labels of the bottles are cool, they are interesting to see, probably may end up collecting the bottles. I just ordered my first bottle.
I would be interested in reviews of any of these, particularly Tchaikovsky. I use several Noodler's inks on the regular, particularly ones with a permanent component as I live in a rainy coastal climate. Noodler's North African Violet was my first colored ink purchase and still my most-used due to its permanence, and Lexington Gray is a daily-use, reliable baseline ink I often use to test new pens. I appreciate getting to learn more about inks I haven't seen in person. Thanks for your reviews!
Please review ALLLLLLLL. Thanx man
Baltimore Canyon Blue is my favorite waterproof blue.
1. Clarvoyance Slate for the win.
2. A good feature of Noodler'w inks is that they are cheap.
Baltimore Canyon Blue is also mostly waterproof once it is totally dry. I have a sample of the Gold & Limonite that I need to test out. I like the look of the color.
Noodler’s is one of my favorite brands, for sure. Their shading inks are some of the best.
Thanks for this. I am one of the many Noodlers fans, and have a lot of them for many years, being the bulk of my inventory. In truth, I can't recall ever seeing a variation from batch to batch. These look interesting and I see three of them I literally must have: Thaikovsky, Kuprin and the gold. (Well maybe not Kuprin, its so close to Noodlers Nightshade)
Excellent video. I would love for you to do a more complete review of Noodler's Gold and Limonite, as there is no video of this paint available on UA-cam.
Does King Philips Requiem have a peculiar smell to it, moreso than other Noodler's inks? Thanks for your time!
CAN U MAKE A SEPARATE REVIEW OF BALTIMORE CANYON BLUE? PLEAAASE !
IT'S A REALLY WELL BEHAVED INK, BRIGHT BLUE, WITH RED SHEEN AND WATER-RESISTANT !
WHERE U CAN FIND AN INK WITH ALL THOSE PROPERTIES??? SAILOR SEIBOKU IS CLOSE BUT IT'S NOT BRIGHT.
AND OTHER REVIEWS DON'T SHOW THE SHEEN VERY GOOD, SADLY...
Hi Mick, personally I am not a fan of Noodler's either mainly because of my feelings (which I won't get into but we know what I mean), I do however, like Black Swan in Australian (and English) Roses. But I prefer to support businesses that support others such as Robert Oster.
Robert is in a league of his own!
I used to get around them but haven’t bought a bottle for ages. I find his politics repugnant. I mean everybody’s entitled to their views, but he seems to use his inks as a vehicle. The Bernanke Red had some antisemitic imagery but it obviously showed that he knows absolutely nothing about economics. The quantitative easing that he decried was probably what enabled people to keep buying his products in the absence of government stimulus. He definitely falls within the paranoid trend in American politics. I think Black Swan in Australian Roses is my favourite. I like South West Sunset, but it’s a bit too light. I also like sequioa.
I have been drawn to the King Philip Requiem but I don't like that strange feathering. Guess ihave to take it off my ink wishlist. 😇🩷🙏🙌
