Did you fell on Via Ferrata? Use this on your own risk!

This is serious talk. Please be very careful on how you use any aiding technique on Via Ferrata.
Also, please be advised that the device I describe in this video is not personal protective equipment and also not recommended for use without extended know-how or good understanding of its limitations.
If you decide to use such a technique or improvised shock absorber, please understand that you will do it on your personal risk and personal liability. Even Kong, the manufacturer of the plate will state the same thing.
To summarize:
- This is not safety equipment.
- Is not a replacement for your Via Ferrata Set.
- Is not safe to use but only for aiding in extreme situations.
- This can easily fail. If you used it as your third arm with a deployed Via Ferrata Set, in case you fall again while making the anchor point transition for this system, your fall will be static (dangerous).
- You should only consider such system if you properly understand that is dangerous when used, not a safety item, cause for hazard.
If you use this as a third arm with a deployed shock absorber of a Via Ferrata Set, make sure you first move one of the carabiners of the Via Ferrata Set to the next bold and only after make the anchor point transition for this system. Why? Because in case you fall while making the anchor point transition for this system, your fall will be static (you will fall in the deployed Via Ferrata Set) and in this case, dangerous. By moving one of the lanyards of the deployed Via Ferrata Set first, you reduce the length of the fall and with such, improve your situation by a bit. This is not a guarantee for safety. It only is behaviour meant to improve your odds.
