You already got it apart buy new bearings and race and put in clean up the old one later and have it for emergencies

I bought new spindles going to rebuild the front end when the weather gets nice. That tractor needs a new pin in the middle also. When i put all that togther both sides are getting new bearings. Keeping old for back up.

Putting grease on the bearing is not how to pack bearings. Putting lots of grease on the outer bearing does nothing. Grease is thick and does not flow. Therefore putting it in thinking it will flow into the bearing will not happen.
