Malcolm McLaren promoted the heck out of the Pistols and propelled their marketing machine...The Clash were a better put together and talented group of course, but the music industry is full of groups with meager talent and great promotion. The Clash got all they did on their own merits and talents...that means a lot.

Joe Strummer was the best frontman ever! 110% of powerful energy live!!!!!!! I saw Lydon live with P.I.L. at least a couple of times, all were great shows, but, PLEASE, DON'T COMPARE! We Will Miss You JOE :(
