    As requested, I added links to most of the parts used, AF1 Racing is my GO TO Shop when it comes to most MotoGuzzi parts, V7, V85 or V100 alike. They are fantastic to deal with, highly recommended. I am not Sponsored from AF1 Racing.

    I have put a Powerbronze large touring screen (550mm) on my V100 which with a EBay air splitter works incredibly well for touring.

    I'm planning to put on the heated seat. Although the standard height is manageable, I can't quite flat foot, so will go for the low version. I'm sticking with the standard screen. A couple of hundred miles last week on the motorway there was no buffeting.

    • @ThatGermanFella
      @ThatGermanFella  Рік тому

      I am in the same "boat" can't quite flat foot it, will try different boots to see if it makes a difference before possible switching to the low seat, but I am concerned that it will increase the bend in the knee, possible compromising long distance comfort. In the down position the stock windscreen is fine for me as well, up, it actually pushed the air right onto my helmet, so proably need something a bit taller for touring.

      @@ThatGermanFella That may be an issue. I did it with my Tracer, Z900RS and F900XR and they were fine, so I'll give it a punt. It's around 15mm, which was the same on those bikes.

    "Overtorqued bolts from the factory" This must be a Piaggio specialty. My dealer had to drill out 1 of the bolts on the pillion peg of my RS660 due to being overtorqued and having way too much red loctite essentially cementing the bolt in place. Had to completely resleeve the bolt hole so the block off plate could be mounted. Dealer said it was a one-off incident that they had never seen before. I wonder about that 😂
    What are you using to plug the factory mirrors after removal? Curious as it looks the same on each of the bikes I've seen you add bar-end mirrors.
    Another great video and again, the V100 looks amazing!

    • @ThatGermanFella

      Thank you! I am using the ones from TST industries, a bit pricey but they worked very well for me. Here is a link tstindustries.com/tst-universal-mirror-block-off-plugs-8-12mm.html Concerning the bolts, I had the same issues on my V85, so it is a "Piaggio thing" ... lol

    Hi, just orderd one, and some evotech protection. Where did you get your passenger peg slider from?

    • @ThatGermanFella
      @ThatGermanFella  10 місяців тому

      Grats on your new bike, you are going to love it! The Peg slider was a DYI project. I used leftover pugs from my Z125 build ...lol They are way overpriced for what they are but fit in nicely. If you go on the MNNTHBX website under the 125 section you can find them there. But it is not a direct bolt-on, some modifications on the V100 are required.

    What about engine protection, thinking of something?

    • @ThatGermanFella
      @ThatGermanFella  Рік тому

      The skid plate was a very easy affair, MG actually has everything in place for it under the engine, proably in preperation for the Stelvio. I don't like the current solutions for the engine protection, they all seem very clunky to me. I am a huge fan of Guareschi Moto in Parma, Italy. I had their solutions on the V7 and V85 and know they worked when I crashed my V85. So, I am sort of waiting to see if they maybe come out with something similar for the V100.

    3. Quick shifter = good buy
    4. Radiator guard = good buy
    5. Skid plate = big fail. Should be same colour as the beautiful engine.
    6. Mirrors = big fail. There are better ones on the market
    7. Blanking screws - big fail. Should be same colour as stem
    8. USB - good buy. Agree this should be standard
    9. Screen - big fail. Looks terrible
    10. Fork protectors- fail. They will provide a very small amount of protection, but not worth bothering with. Front paddock bobbins would have been a better, more practical option.
