2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR My First Ride | Is the Hype Real?
This is not a 2025 V2. This content is a load of BS and scripted…
Thank you for the close-up photos of the spring positioning. A very well-made video.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Hey there! Love your videos, just had my 2021 85TT for 4 months from the show room (old stock) and like you, suddenly having trouble starting!!! I can’t see the end cause on the thread, could you advise what the solution is? I’m in the Philippines and parts take forever, but I’ll be in Europe next if you have a chance to let me know!🙏🏻😬
Hello, it turned out to be a faulty fuel pump that was replaced under warranty. Easy fix. Hope this helps.
Great Day out.
It was a lot of fun … :)
By the way you sound exactly like the gentleman who rides a Kawasaki ZX-4RR. I plan on picking up a 2025 Kawasaki ZX-4RR in the spring. I really like the new livery on the KRT Edition with the yellow striping.
Why yes, we have not one but 2x 4RR’s … we love them that much. Check out our build series, reviews and comparisons videos for the bike!
I have a 2019 ND2 Miata RF and I installed an ISR muffler delete basically a straight pipe, and it's so loud that every time I drive the car my ears ring and the drone is pretty bad. I find the stock exhaust not loud enough, so I'm looking for something sporty but not overly loud. How do you find this exhaust and do your ears ring at all after a spirited Drive? Would you recommend this exhaust and how does it compare to the Goodwin racing Super Street single tip?
I don’t have any comparison to other GoodWin products but I can tell you, for me at least it’s a perfect balance of not being obnoxious and not too quiet. There is no drone that usually is associated. I can 100 percent wholeheartedly recommend this cat back. There is also a insert option to quiet it further down if needed.
@@MotoMischiefs Thanks my friend. I didn't realize it was a Cat-Back exhaust, I thought it was an axle back, just replacing the muffler. Did you do the mid pipe as well?
No mid pipe, I kept it simple and like you heard in the video, for what it is, in my opinion it sounds amazing.
How about lowering the steering bar? love the black screen.
I kinda did that by bringing it towards me, the factory settings of the handlebars were not comfortable for me.
Fantastic.
Couldn't agree more, fall is definitely the best time to ride!
How is NZ this time of the year?
I agree that Autumn 🍂 is best time to ride.
NZ is hot 🔥 & roads get sticky as tar bubbles 🫧 & heat coming off road is intense.Definitely got to keep the fluids up especially when over 30°C.
@@ruahinesrider thats good and bad I guess, how do yu like your new ride? any regrets vs the Trident?
Nice one bro. Great ride
Thanks! I love riding this time of year!
watched :-)
Can’t wait for the next one … ;)
Just bought my first... Had a little thought about this one. But then i came across a prestine 1999 ZX9R. 500 miles in, not looking back. Youll outgrow these low cc musquito bikes quickly and you want more i think!
I think it all depends, we love riding these and able to wring them out to 16,000 rpms, it’s just so satisfying. We also have 600cc & 1000cc in our stable, each has its purpose. If this is your only bike, in tuned disguise, it would be perfectly fine for me. There is always bigger and better, if you know what I mean.
I hear what you are saying, I rode out my Ducati V2 the other day (thank you Bman) and you can feel the difference, yet...nothing more fun than taking out our matching 4RR's and the attention it brings!
does this tune help with low speed throttle response
Yes! Very much so, overall throttle response is improved 10 fold.
In NZ 🇳🇿 the 4RR is 70hp version need a full license to ride it & is probably the only modern 400cc bike that is Full License bike.
You guys are lucky! We get the gimped one, but its fixed now! ... =)
I'm in Australia and the ZX4RR was detuned, got mine dyno'ed
@@GiveMoreHugs Are you able to get it unlocked or is it frowned upon due to regulations?
Great combo! That will REALLY wake the bike up!
It did! It is like a completely different bike now. I was trying to buy it from you guys but you were out of stock when I ordered it.
the 660 has half of the power of the V4 but it's more than half of the fun! 😁
AMG, so much fun once it comes alive with the right parts, I can’t stop riding it!
Nice. What part of dfw are these twisties?
North DFW, in the Anna, Melissa, Blue Ridge area.
@@MotoMischiefssweet. Started riding few months ago and there looks to be alot of nice county roads to check out. Fm 544 I heard is sweet.
@@JMang101 we utilize FM-545, which area are you talking about for FM544?
@@MotoMischiefsmy bad I meant fm455
@@JMang101 Gotcha, it is nice, however we need to re check it, last time we rode it, the conditions were less than ideal and we opted against it for our group rides.
Agreed. I got one over the weekend. Love the bike. My previous bikes were all pretty highly tuned monsters, (Yamaha FZ-1, Aprilia Tuono 1100, Kawasaki ZX14R SE) I ended up selling them all and quitting motorcycling on account of my bad back. Well after three seasons of not riding, I decided to give it another go, but I wanted more suspension travel this time so the bike didn't pop up over bumps like my sport bikes did, and a more comfortable riding position. I took a test ride and I was in love. I thought I'd miss the horsepower, but I don't even notice, really. It's got so much torque, street riding seems just as quick. It's got plenty of power and room for two-up in comfort. Mine came with over $2K in mods already too, with Zard slip-on exhaust, Triumph pannier, flyscreen, TPMS system, heated grips, barkbusters, ect and only 750 miles on the clock. I saved the dealer freight and prep costs as well. I knew I didn't want a new "X" model, since they stripped off the Ohlins shocks, Brembo brakes, cruise control, better paint and so on. Since the XE model is made for giraffes and people who want to drop their high CG bike over in sand, I think, the XC model seems like the perfect option. Street with off-road capability. That's a Scrambler to me. I'm very happy to have one. Hope to keep this one for a long time. Only drawback to mine, is I've got to do the first service yet. No problems there, I have a new filter in the correct size already because it's the same size one of my other bikes took. Cheers!
Looks like you got a good one! Trading this bike is my biggest regret for 2024! Mine was similar build up, its a bike you can hang on for a long time, like you mentioned that motor is just magic! And depending on what tires you put on her, you can shift either more ADV or Street.
You guys are so SLOW. No wonder you're stopping for milkshakes.
SLOW was my middle name …
Great ride my friend. Awesome group Ride. Ride Safe always with your limit my friend. God bless us all.
@@RodKrisBisdakMotovlog And blessings to you. Be safe my friend!
Couldn’t agree more!
Find a “softer” place to record your VO. It sounds like you are in an oil drum. 🤡
Stalls happen occasionally even to long time riders. Was that your daughter on the Can Am.
That was indeed our daughter on the Can Am. She wanted to see what the ride was all about!
You know you can make fun of her a little … ;)
@@MotoMischiefs i was giggling!
During this event the Guzzi did not set my world on fire, HOWEVER, check out our follow up video and how much of a difference a few tweaks can do.
Pity it rained on track day with your new dry track tyre's.
I see Motoguzzi got a new revised V100 for 2025 & new blue colour looks good too.
@@ruahinesrider V1?
@@sorryociffer I meant V100
It was a great learning experience and track was dried up at noon. Got 4 Dry sessions in the afternoon.
@@ruahinesrider yes, the added some safety tech to the upper trim level and introduced a special edition that includes the semi active suspension, whish my navale would have gotten that ... =(
Excellent... thanks for venturing forward....
Glad you enjoyed the video.
Nice vid Kaptain! Looks like a great time. Something about the naration feels a bit out of place in this video. Maybe the reverb or gain combined with her syrupy-sweet voice acting... i suppose it reminds me of a sci-fi AI villain. 😅
We had an amazing time, the V100 was a big surprise with the minimal changes we did. Haha @ the sci-fi AI villain ... =). Can't let her have all the fun, you will hear zeh german again soon ...
We have been looking at a new microphone!. Still, an AI villian?!? Damn, I need to practice my snark:) Although, even that comes across like an apple strudel lol.
👌 Bravo. Amazing how a few tweaks can make a big difference.
Indeed , I did not expect much after my last track day but holy cow, very pleased.
Did the reduced back pressure from removing the stock muffler and replacing with an exhaust tip cause damage to your valves? I'm thinking about removing the muffler and just using an exhaust tip.
Bike ran fine, I sold it a while ago but other than a failed fuel pump, never gave me any trouble.
Thank you for this good news! I have less than 6, 200 miles on my 2022 V85TT, but I'll do the 10000 km service early. While working on this beautiful Italian machine I'll carefully inspect the spark plugs and valves. I will also change the gear oil and bevel gear (final drive) oil early. Schaeffers has a 75W-140 oil with special additives that promises to improve performance and increase longevity. Nothing but the best for our Moto Guzzis! What other customizations, mods, or upgrades do you recommend? Thanks again for sharing your experience and expertise!
@ it all depends on your use case. If you are taking it off the beaten path, I would recommend crash protection. I slimmed mine down as much as I could and enjoyed it a lot as a great everyday rider, just something about Guzzi’s … :)
@BunnyandBman The crash protection came stock with my Guardia d'Onore. My usage is 99% improved surface roads, around town (Katy and Houston, TX), and touring. With the above usages, what are your recommendations?
@@MegaTrill88 I don't know what your budget is, but if it were me, I would invest in Big Bore Headers and a proper end Can to your liking, paired with a Guareschi Moto Tune via UpMap. The bike will really come alive, amazing sound, way better throttle response, cooler running engine and even more weight savings.
I can't believe out of all the bikes you had, you sold this one... imo the best of your lineup along with the SFV2 What was the reason ?
Blame it on my dealership! … lol They let me test ride the BMW M1000R. I actually tried to buy it back but it sold already, oh well …
@@MotoMischiefs Haha that M1000R really feels much better than that Moto2? I find the Moto2 one of the best looking bikes available rn. Hopefully you find one again !
@@marcosabruna3682 The M is on a whole another level tbh. For what it is, the Moto2 is great but no match at all for the M.
Like my Harley mates one revs engine & triggers the rest off😂.
It’s contagious… 🤪
Move it Move It.
Hehe
love that music!!
ride your own ride, be safe. I think you're more likely to have police problems riding with a group of sport bikes. Come back to the (ADV) fold! 40-50Hp is fun! lol.
Bunny already said she wants to go ADV, problem is to find a Bike that works for her and her short legs. I have been torn. For myself I am thinking 660 Tuareg, for her Ducati Scrambler. I want them to be Highway capable and don't have to do the gnarly stuff, aka light ADV to not get hurt ... =)
I definitely agree with Bman. ADV is next on the list to conquer riding wise. And yes, it seems like the faster groups always seem to collect some police:)
New Royal Enfield Himmy 452 might be OK for shorter riders & true ADV & not a whopper. Ducati Scrambler doesn't have a real high seat hight & light as well. Triumph Scrambler 400 be OK but seat height to tall for shorter riders & all capable of 70mph cruising but Ducati Scrambler be my choice for shorter riders & with lower weight & premium bike.Himmy 452 is a true ADV & low seat height for a ADV & rugged take a beating & a few drops & put pannier frames around tank.😊😊😊.
@@ruahinesriderPerfect! Thank you so much for all the information! Now to sit on a Scrambler:)
@@ruahinesrider need to put her on a Himmy, we tried the 400 Scram and yes, too tall. Ducati very high on the list.
115 on the speedo is about 103.5 actual mph bit definitely did the ton.
Hi, I already ride with the footpegs on the ground, even with 8 clicks of preload and in A1 Suspension mode. Have you found something to raise the footpegs to go on the track with the v100 mandello ?
I have not looked so far as I have not pushed to the point where it would become an issue. That may change this Sunday though… I will try to have it setup properly.
Hey mate turning the handlebar blocks 180 degrees makes the handlebars sit lower and closer to you?
Yes, that in combination with the Wunderlich Raisers did the trick for me on the ergo side. Was too aggressive for me in stock form.
And one more question, how is the wunderluch comfort seat, did it get any more better?
@@CanuluvaG yes it did start to break in, however I have not been utilizing it lately as Bunny needs all the help she can get with her short legs so it's a no-no, as it is taller than the M Seat.
Thank you @BunnyandBman
Does it mess up the ecu etc with or without db killer? Other issues?
I had no issues, I would recommend however a re map with the UpMap solution. It was not available at the time of the video.
How can I get it I want to buy it
The bike itself? Any Honda dealer should have them.
What we did not mention in the Video is the Radiator Guards and Windshield as they are "almost" essential to have.
I take it that the Bunny sticker is over the scratches on fairing. The Grip Puppies are good for dulling the vibes on some bikes or bikes with skinny grips.
@@ruahinesrider oh you know it on the stickers … 😂 Of curse everyone recognizes her now on the bunny ducati …
Wish they whistled
do you have a link for the riser?
I don’t. It was ordered via my BMW dealer. Its from Wunderlich, a german company.

No issues at all, it’s rather decent.
