- Belvedere is a suburb of Harare, the capital city and the largest metropolitan area of Zimbabwe. Though historically home to a notable Indian population since 2012 Belvedere has become known for its growing Chinese population, due to the construction of Longcheng Plaza. The area is found to the west of the central Harare by the suburbs of Ridgeview, Monovale and Warren Park. It is noted for a new Chinatown that exists around the Longcheng area. This new Chinatown is now considered as the main Chinatown in Harare, replacing a nascent area in the CBD. Disclamer was not paid to advertise any company it's for the love of Zimbabwe and show casing our beautiful city to world.

I grew up in Lincoln Green, it used to be a beautiful place, green everywhere. Now it's an eyesore
Roads are horrendous in Harare CBD and outlying areas....cbd is so dirty.

You kept saying its called honey drive when its Garfield road ..
Beautiful content thanks for showcasing Belvedere I used to frequent the area a lot in early 2000 it's a very beautiful area my hope is that City of Harare will attend to the infrastructure issues such as the roads and street lighting, just to add, Belvedere used to be an airfield or airport back in the days hence the street names are all related to the aviation either names of aircrafts or names used in the aviation industry in general example Boeing Street, Sky master and others.
It also explains the wider roads behind the Harare Institute of Technology that actually was a runway.
@@nutechousespinnaclehomes7963 Thant explains it thus why Ganges Road is very wide it used to be a runway
Thank you tamboona kumba, uku ndokumba ndafara zvekutodaro apa ndiri miles and miles away from home😢.
Down memory lane lived in Lincoln green 😊
I grew up there, this narrative that Belvedere is an ‘Indian neighbourhood’ has made this particular ethnic group so entitled to the area that they have ‘indians only’ sports clubs and restaurants. And i grew up there.
...when it comes to south asians and racial discrimination, there are no boundaries trust..travel the world and see the same behavior replicated all over
Belvedere and Ridgeview are home to the Asian community . Indians and Pakistanis. They have two sports clubs (cricket)in the suburb viz Universals for Muslims and Sunrise for Hindus
Roads are still in good condition
Ganges street name comes from the famous Indian river name The River Ganges
Ganges Road would have been named after the Ganges river in India
Haaaa nyika yaparara wena belvedere used to be nicer those roads are like mbare now it will take a thousand years to fix roads in Zimbabwe. IF roads in low density suburbs look like that how much worse are the roads in high density suburbs

Since you asked, we wouldn't mind seeing more of your face in your videos. Sometimes it feels like youre just driving by and taking a video while at it. Consider stepping out of the car sometimes. A little more effort would be greatly appreciated.
