Thanks Tom with that 8” antenna, I afraid it won’t fit in my backpack…😂! Man so many new designs coming out that still work half way decent, but my new radio herd it threatens my living arrangement so I will have to pass.

I love little radios like this. I had an exceptional one that got clean signals on weak daytime AM stations and the speaker was perfect. I loaned it to a guy after a bad hurricane. He didn`t bother to return it. I got another one and on the test station it got a weak signal. I have a headset radio that has no room for a ferrite antenna more than an inch long but it gets nice reception too.
If you can swing it, C.Crane makes the best little Pocket Radio. AM/FM/ Weather, and outstanding reception.

@@jeffking4176 I have terrible reception at my new place because of interference. There`s a transformer 20 feet away outside my window and I`m in a 30 ft metal camper with WIFI. I ran a 500 ft long wire through the woods in the opposite direction and I plug it in to a grounded AN-200 loop to get clean signals on a daytime station and clear channels at night. And when the power fails I run everything from noisy AC inverters and batteries. During a power/WIFI failure recently I was able to cancel 3/4 of the interference with my loops in one area by the window to listen to a weak station without my wire antenna since it was stormy.
Great little radio got one as well
