@@pudseymac5823 "Got the humanoid, got the intruder!" or "The humanoid must not escape" are both samples in the game, the Cylon voice is a Roland vocoder I think, but I'm sure wasn't used for the track.
I was 12 yrs old when this came out, listening to this on the walkman I bought with my paper round money, wishing I was older so I could go to raves lol.
The sampled voice " Humanoid, intruder alert " is from an old arcade game. I've played it as a child on holiday but can't think of the name. Did some research, its called Beserk.
I remember this been played at my Catholic youth club, by my older cousin, Luke..... They (the nuns in charge) had let him have a go on the Decks/DJ Booth ...(was usually some old codger playing 60s crap - in the late 80s...) Anyway yeah , our Luke dropped this and our little Catholic youth club lost our tiny little minds..... It was around this time, late 80s , that i really got into the "acid House" and house/rave and never stopped .... But this tune set me off 😂😂... The Nuns dragged him off that stage quick time .... Cant be having the kids having fun now can we!!!
Loved this doing my paper rounds in 1988 along with original UK house from Bomb The Bass and Neneh Cherry. But by 1991 when the crappy half-baked copycats started getting around, I tuned out and went in the metal direction, at least until the Great Metal And Dance Convergence Of 1995.
I've been Raving since 1988,still bang at it,I'm 53 in June,❤
4 years behind... Still playing catch up but 1988... Banging. Like 1992, 1995 and 2002 muhwahaha
Happy Birthday Friend... I did 53 back in March.
Nice one Tony.
same ... and I was a DJ ...
I'm nearly 56 and still love this. It's brilliant power walking music 😂
Fuck nostalgia, this is still the future.
This tune is probably what got me into the whole scene. Class.
As somebody said on another comments thread...."This isn't just a dance track, it's a sonic weapon!"

Uhh plump djs version is better. I prefer imo, like ik this is the original but plump djs just have that energy lol
The sample 'humanoid' voice is from the arcade game Berzerk from 1980
I always thought it was from TV series Battlestar Galactica??

Intruder Alert!
SO glad I grew up in the 80's and 90's in the USA and not Europe. We had so much more than dance music to draw from.
Lol. USA was way behind on techno, you were still listening to hair metal.
😂😂 you Americans were way behind on the music scene.
Oh, you silly sausage.
Yeah like Jim Reeves for instance 😂
The video I imagined in my head all these years had cylons in it and was much better than this.
Is this Stakka Bo ?
