Things to do on patch day: get all the laundry done you've been putting off, clean the house, stare at the computer once in a while waiting for the servers to go live just to find out they extended maintenance til midnight eastern.
And they did. Servers came back online at about 11:30 eastern last night and it was a huge failure. Virtually nothing works. Classes are filled with game-breaking bugs and the known bugs list is a mile long. It’s probably going to take them most of this week to get them squashed. Warbands are worthless, and the Warband bank is completely disabled as they’ve run into a “critical issue” that they apparently don’t know how to fix yet. This is probably the most screwed-up patch in close to two decades. We can only hope that they start pushing a lot of hotfixes, and that they go back on their decision to keep class-specific appearances only obtainable if you’re playing that specific class, which absolutely sucks and makes the Warband feature virtually useless.
@@EatTheMarxists All true but it's a PRE-patch - so it's designed to get the bugs out b4 the actual patch albeit there's a lot of issues they didn't 'bank' on. All of us vets of wow kind of expected issues - despite Beta testing, the retail/main servers are so much more vast with so much more data that this was almost inevitable.
@@BritGirlJay oh yes, I’ve been playing since 2004 and have seen allllllll of the fun patches and bugs from TBC to today; however, I am still kinda surprised as the team has been releasing major patches, including expansions, with less bugs and issues than the patches of old. Hopefully they’ll get it sorted out soon.
A lot of stuff that's broken is add-ons and not the actual game. I had very few problems once I disabled all the add-ons, except for not being able to summon my Blingitron 7000.

U have had Ghoul Kickers soulbound on a hunter from classic for YEARS. When they switched to full mail I got screwed over lol. So happy I can finally log into that dude and make use of that super rare item
I hope they make Skyriding and Steady flying bindable per mount and not all mounts...I like having 2 mounts on my bars, one for skyriding and 1 for steady flying. Toggling between these 2 modes is going to get old and I probably wont do it very often.
If it was at least an instant cast, could macro it for some specific mounts, but no. They have to make it super annoying. I liked it better the other way.
Didn't think of using other auction houses. Ohhh I could've gotten so much more for that Haunted Memento I found on an old alt. I just liquidated it to buy a ton of battle pets....
It's soooo helpful for finding bargain pets (and recipes and rare transmogs). Now I bet pet prices will level out across realms, but it's still worth checking out!
I rarely watch wow youtube videos but i find it interesting that when i do very often it is under your name. Keep up the good work and chill atmosphere !
Also worth mentioning the random BoEs you pick up from trash if you pick up plate on a clothie (I assume if you have plate covered in your warband) you can vendor it and it will add to your transmog like vendoring the greys.
I wish two things to be modified: We should be able to identify the flying style for each of our individual flying mounts. And We should have the ability [like before] to Only Highlight Our Characters when in Combat or an Instance. It is really annoying on both of these changes to not be able to customize these features as they used to be. But in the meantime, I am still getting used to how I want it. It just stinks to have to constantly remember to switch them when I want or don't want them on or off. As always, Thank you for your guidance and info. You're the best. GLHF :)
FYI for transmogs that are not easier - if you do the path of ascension (Kyrian Covenant) Trail of Wisdom for the armor pieces - it now rewards ALL armor types, so anyone who has been putting that off can do it. Should warn it's a little more tricky in Pre-patch, but perfectly doable at 70. I should note I've not done the trial of wisdom before on ANY char, so I cannot say how it might affect people who have.
you didnt mention the windrider recolor mogs quests that you can do & the farming of the mobs in the warband quest at gadzatan to get the new trash gear mogs that they drop
Warband Banking, if they ever get it working, will bring WoW in line with many other MMOs, which have almost universally had account banking for YEARS. Rizlet the gnome rogue kinda misses the helicopter thing on her turbocharged flying machine - but the trade-off Skyriding otherwise is worth it. (Besides, she just discovered the mechaspiders from Mechagon can fly, and are seriously cool.)
i totally love how you're gonna be able to transfer better and better gear the more you progress with your main, so you'll be able to start getting into M+ easier on alts, but you cant get them maxed out without running them through the harder content. i am completely fine with that, i just need to take this last month off, so i am eager to go ham on TWW when it launches.

Question: What level gear will our Remix characters have? Will leveling their gear up in MoP equate to a higher ilvl starting gear when they transfer over?
This is totally unrelated, but many years ago you made a guide for battle pets that was about easy ways to jump up to level 25 pets by capturing specific ones in the wild. I don't remember when it was, probably MoP, and I don't remember most of the details beyond getting a magic eye pet from around Karazhan, then using them to get something else, aqua striders. I'm playing around on a MoP private server, and need to do something similar. Any chance you remember where that video is?

Hi Hazel couple of issues I have with prepatch that I'm hoping you might know how to fix 1) Text seems to now be massive, all the menus (escape, right click character portrait etc) the text is just huge, If I change global ui scale it does reduce but also so do my action bar buttons, is there a way to change this independently of each other? not sure why they made the text on everything massive but I prefer the sleek style it had before, its like someone downgraded the res on an old monitor and its gone 640x480 2) I HATE the new character screen, I have 45 characters across 6 realms and I did this deliberately, I had them organised in a perfect list on each realm and knew exactly where my characters were, now they are just one sprawling long list and I hate it, oh wow we can set 4 favourites, great, doesn't help, If/when you find an addons that help us sort this hot garbage of a dumpster fire I'd appreciate being pointed in that direction, it would be nice to be able to make your own categories and put your characters in custom expandable folders so that you can really sort them this change is NOT helpful to people with a mass of characters, and honestly makes me feel like just deleting half my retinue many thanks :)

I am so stoked for the warband!! I did not even think about crafting, so excited I can share materials between characters now.
I'm excited to see the shifts in the cross realm economy. Guild banks and Warbands being cross realm is huge.

self marking is HUGE, sometimes I just want to see my own silhouette in massive raid groups so I can actually make sure I'm not in the fire!

Class set tokens from legacy raids (Shadowlands and earlier) are now Warbound and can be transferred to characters on the account.
