Greetings friend, magnificent equipment, many of my time, were robust, beautiful and above all very well made. Having them today is like owning a valuable gem. Enjoy them. (Excuse my English, for I help myself with a translator)
Thanks, this is my first Room video. A lot has changed but I am not going to change my Oppo. It isn't a normal Oppo it's an Audiocom Signature modified Oppo, the results is just beyond anything I aver heard. Simply outstanding. The DAC inside with the mods comes close to my Holo Audio May!
Nice set up. Great equipment, especially the tape decks. Ignore those that critic it. You made your own and you were open to sharing it. And it is greatly appreciated. Keep the video's coming.
Excellent equipment!!! Be proud of your origin!!! Before watching this video I was sure that you had a tube amp...I was mistaken...!! Keep going with the channel...we watch with excitement!! A greek audio enthousiast!
If it's not already the case, you should put a UV filter coated glass in front of that autographed paper. It's yellowing a lot and writing seems to be faded too. It would preserve it way better.
I actually cared about your TV because besides audio equipment you know whats good you also know what looks good. I have 4 Pioneer Kuro TVs and they are amazing even right now.
Very interested in acoustics of room - dimensions, amount of experimentation in speaker placement, bass trapping (if any), absorption of reflections, etc. Very grateful for your generosity with knowledge and perspective, so no pressure on this, but I'm sure it would be super.
Thanks for the tour. Love the vids and as a child of the 80's analog informed my taste in music. On a non-music topic, I was hoping for some info about at an item that sits over the right side of your head (your right viewers left) in your Pink Floyd comparison vid. It looked to be made of wood and had what appears to be a goat and some rustic folks carved into it. The item just caught my eye and I would be very thankful for some additional info.
Yes, that is the sacred family (Jesus, Joseph and Mary) sculpted by a fantastic old artisan who lives in Northern Italy, Willy Messner. He uses a naif style that resembles Romanic chourches style. Truly amazing. I visited his workshop in Trentino when I was a kid. Now, after more than 15 years I was able to purchase one of his pieces for our wedding anniversary (the so-called wood anniversary, 5 years). Here is his website: www.willymessner.it
Splendid and one thing I wanted to add for your Dark Side Of The Moon comparison(for whatever reason there's no comments page yet for your terrific comparison. Firstly: What about 8 Track tape?? Next when it comes to digital I'd love to hear a 24bit 96KHz(or even 192KHz) sampling of the vinyls and the tapes to see if the digital recording of those wonderful analogue mediums is spot on or not. The reason I mention this is because thanks to the recent King Crimson box sets which provide Blu-ray audio discs featuring 24bit needle drops of the original vinyl's I've been blown away and most people including myself are unable to tell the difference between the vinyl or the high definition needle drop recording. Once again thanks for showing us the beautiful reel to reel gear and I admire the way you cherish these spectacular mediums. (I've lost count of the amount of people who practically gave away there vinyl collections and all of a sudden wish they hadn't now the vinyl seen is coming back but most importantly because it sounds WAY better than a CD. Blu-ray audio however has got to be the digital equivalent of having virtual vinyl or reel to reel. PS. Nice turntable there. Myself I use a Technics SL-1700 MK2 and I have to say it's still amazing even now. If only more manufacturers produced direct drive turntables. I'm always dubious of all the belt drive tables due to having a cheap one when I first started out in vinyl and discovering the belt was incorrect and the speed was wrong for all my listening up to that point. Bring on the direct drive turntable revolution again manufacturers PLEASE!!!! I'd love to know your thoughts on the quality of the Oppo player there. I've been debating that or the Yamaha equivalent for a nice Blu-ray audio player. Many thanks and keep sharing your audio adventures. Sean.
Hi Sean and thank you for your compliments! Actually, there is s load of comments for the Dark Side (re-open your browser) plus, in the video description (maybe you did not watch the entire video) there are high resolution files 192Khz/24bit for download of all media! 8 track is a very low-fi format that is why I excluded it. The Oppo are great but I got an Audiocom Signature modified Oppo so I really do not know how it performs normally. It is unfortunate that they discontinued the production. Interesting the King Crimson reissues...will check them...
Revisiting this video after a year. Wonder if anything has changed? Suppose I might know if I watched every video? Your integrated amp is really interesting. It's a shame they don't seem to be readily available here in the States. Those speakers look pretty serious too. I bet that system sounds great! ✌️from Newport RI.
Thanks for the tour! Re: your Studer A810; do you play AEG pancakes in the vertical position as displayed? It makes me so nervous to even think about!!!
ANA[DIA]LOG there’s always the option of NAB hubs and reels, but if ur like most of my EU tape buddies, I’m sure you prefer the AEG pancakes. Plus reels are SO expensive these days! I guess another option is to mount horizontally, but a bigger footprint :/. Regardless; great gear / tour :)
Great gear! I suggest you look into speaker placement, room acoustics and room treatment, since from what I could tell from the video you would be able to get a MUCH better sound out of your gear by optimizing there parameters.
Indeed! I did a special video on speaker positioning: ua-cam.com/video/EmXJqJ4QCt0/v-deo.html Fortunately I have a great room, more treatment wouod be great but...wife won't allow more stuff around ;-)
A little close, yes, but can't push them out more than that. In any case I changed speakers. Now I am using a pair that need space on the sides and not behind.

Nice system. I have the Technics SL-1200 G turntable paired with a Lyra Kleos cartridge. I also have a non-modified Oppo 105 D, but it's in my (separate) home theater system. (I have videos on youtube.) Those Studer and Telefunken reel to reel decks are beautiful.
Wow! I love Lyra. Great choice! Soon I will release a new Room Tour. This one is a little different from my updated set...especially on the cassette and amplification side!
Nice System there I heard the ATC-SCM 50's and thought they were incredible, tons of bass and presence. I have also owned a Nak Dragon, best deck in the world. I love those Reel to Reels. I hated that I missed my chance to get that Beatles Mono Box set, I have the stereo, but the hunt is always on. I two days ago pick up the Miles Davis 40th Anniversary of Bitches Brew.
Ha ha! Thank you. Yes, you are right...if you look closely it is in the back, behind the cables on the left side. It is a Lehmann Black Cube SE. It is completely tilted and against the wall. Not very nice-looking but functional...here is a video where I discuss about it a little: ua-cam.com/video/zOPD7lKqEP0/v-deo.html
He looks about my age and from the CD collection makes me wonder if he went through his TELARC phase ? Lol I sure did. I think it was to see if my equipment could handle it not as much if it was as musical as other offerings. Living the ATC units he has!! Holy shit those are amazing and I understand why he chose them; if a lot of his favorite studios used drivers from the same company while recording the masters, it makes sense to reproduce the sound from the same pedigree of drivers. :) Very cool!
Am i crazy.....i love the mumbo jumbo of cables...makes me feel like i am the king of my domain because i can decipher what goes where!!! Lol !!!! I am.....an Alchohaudioic!!!!
Impressive set of gear you have. I am based in Cipro and finding it impossible for anyone to repair/service my A810. Please may I have the details of the company which serviced yours?
Thanks! Wel, that is an old room tour. Many things have changed. My Studer is still here though. It was not serviced by a company but a special guy that I know is not repairing anymore. I know another guy here in Italy who does a great job on a variety of tape gear, Giovanbattista Currado. Try writing to him, mentioning that I gave you his contact, maybe he can help: www.revoxa77.com/
Nice video! ATC's are good speakers but they required a lot of power to sound properly. Most of the recording studios around the world use ATC monitors. What kind of rack's are you using?
I don't doubt for a second that your stereo must sound superb but, to me, it has not enough heavyweight killers, I need much more to be impressed by the gear. The attic is marvellous, maybe a wooden floor would sound the same but would score higher in aesthetics department. I was totally impressed when you said your prime tongue wasn't English, I thought, how well this guy vocalizes the words that I could understand him even without the help of english subtitles! By the way, your reel to reel machines are extraordinary but it is an area where I'm not a connoisseur.
@@anadialog I own R1, ES and SACD 1 series from Sony, big amplifiers, heavy sources and pre amps etc. But my listening room is by far much less than yours, my loudspeakers system is TAOC FC-3000 Coroner + REL Stentor Sub. Believe it or not, the 90 per cent of the work in my everyday set up is accomplished via a humble Yamaha NT-CD670 😂, and it sounds great!!!! It's true that my room is only 11 square meters but it is acoustically treated. With the passing of the years I've become more like a collector than an audiophile and the experience has taught me that no necessarily the most expensive has to be superior per se...
@@anadialog see this if you don't mind, but please! Don't be cruel ha ha ha ua-cam.com/video/Ri5YGsdIIKU/v-deo.html Do you know you looks like Stereophile reviewer Art Dudley?
That's Bob Barry and WOKY September 4th at the Auditorium I was at that Beatles concert. I have never seen one of your post before and UA-cam suggested it…Wow do you or did you live in Milwaukee….or should I ask did your Mom most likely because she got the autographs……Most cool…Ciao!
Hi Graeme, I am not a great fan of reviews. The headphones I currently use for serious listening is a pair of Hifiman HE-560 open back headphones. Quite neutral. Large soundstage. Very comfortable and lightweight on head. Several reviews claim a lack of bass. Not true but you do need a powerfull amp (at least 1 milliwatt).
Hi, i really want to get a vintage reel to reel tape machine. I don`t want to use it as a functioning machine i just want one because i think they look beautiful, like a piece of sculpture. I especially like the look of the vintage models with silver and chrome facias with the silver dials and knobs. Thanks for sharing, i always enjoy your videos and learning from you about sound and equipment.
Thank you! Well, among the most beautiful I would say the Studer A80 but it is big. Among the portable ones I used o have a NAGRA IV-S...probably the most beautiful piece of gear ever created...I miss it dearly! Other solutions for aesthetics are perhaps the Technics RS line (check my video to see some and more examples: ua-cam.com/video/EnUhGjc_Er8/v-deo.html). Unfortunately the gorgeous ones are also the most expensive! A cheap solution may be the Pioneer RT-909...I would check ebay and write in the description 'broken' or 'not working' you should find cheaper deals.
Hi ana[dia]log, nice coverage. Take care the Telefunken. Is your music room wooden floored? What about your room size dimension? you have been meticulously caring your loving system components. This is an art of Caring! Keep it up. Thank you.
No, I wish it was wood...that is why a rug is important...room is very strange, about 6 by 6 metets wuth stairs, doors and large windows with an oblique ceiling with old large wood beams...helpful to brake the sound waves...
A ! I see some Reel to Reels I do remember your first UA-cam video thanks in a radio station I was encouraged to be a radio announcer albums collected like yours right? And used reel to reel pre programmed Farm Reports Paul Harvey Ebb Tide and His Orchestra spots ! Just slide them in through the kept a log. Also how bout you any thing about radio ?
It was quick but it was there, a Lehamnn Black Cube. A lot of that equipment has been changed and additional gear has been implemented. Soon I will do a Room Tour 2.0
Damn dude I thought I spent too much on my setup I spent like 3500 bucks on my whole system that turntable cost like 200 bucks more than my entire setup. I saw one for like 3700 bucks shipped. And a nakamitchi dragon ?! Wow I am very impressed. Can you please tell me I want to get all audioquest cables both rca and speaker cables pre made. Can you tell me if these would be good with my setup? Pro-ject esprit sb with ortofon blue Pro-ject tube box s Cambridge cxa60 Bluesound node 2 Pioneer Ct-f950 Wharfedale Denton speakers. It would really mean a lot to me if you can tell me what cables to buy I really love the look of audioquest . 600 is about as much as I want to spend for everything thank you I just subscribed the rca interconnects are golden gate ones one meter long
Love your name! Well audioquest is good but at least for the interconnects I think the best is to go DIY. Check this vid and maybe you will be ibspired: ua-cam.com/video/u3EPL6hI_H4/v-deo.html
Cable managment is needed. But not a horror to do. Use wood and take a drill machine. I lead cables through a hole and disapear behind the view. It is a bit work when i plug in and out, but my place look like a showroom. CD’s i put away in a big box on the attic, and i keep only my Motörhead cd collection in my listening room. You are a tape guy, so did you heard about Akai? It is not high-end, but the GXC series tape decks of the seventies are non discouvered treasures. They are top loaders, and yes they record simple ferro cassetes like metal ones. Some of them look cheap, but that is just a cameleon skin. Don’t be afraid of the name Akai. They are far better than Sony, and Teac (in my opinion). Forget Dolby hx pro, a GXC don’t need it. When getting one, restore some parts like belts, and do some cleaning. It can be that they only have old DIN plug in points, so maby you need an adaptor for RCA plugs.
ana[dia]log On the internet i see a GXC 46D. It looks like a museum peace. My father owned some kind of Akai, and i recorded as a kid on it. The recordings were never been beaten by Sony 1990-1999 3 head decks, and even a Teac pro deck. The thing could work fine with all cassettes like TDK, Sony, Scotch, Philips, Basf, Maxell etc..
Your being modest and it’s not showing off as it’s also the tools of your trade. I will have to find the updated video of what you have now as I’m sure it’s changed a little bit. I liked the Studer, Nakamichi Dragon, ATC speaker the modded Oppo and 1200G turntable.
That beatles autograph poster is amazing!

Nice video! ATC's are good speakers but they required a lot of power to sound properly. Most of the recording studios around the world use ATC monitors. What kind of rack's are you using?
The speakers are long gone. Now happily living with a pair of GoldenEar Triton Reference. The racks are the same, all walnut Guizu hifi racks.
@@anadialog Thanks! I'm just curious, have you tried Audio Note speakers J or E series?
Собрание достойных аппаратов! Молоток ! А кто усиливает все это ? Крохотный AVI ?
dude are you ok hypervent
Its my gear and camera...heavyyyyy!!
Great job man!!!
Nice room!
Thanks for sharing!
Thank Salvador! I understand, I think you are referring to a very high end section...gime me an example if you don't mind...
Don't be cruel ha ha ha

Do you know you looks like Stereophile reviewer Art Dudley?
That's Bob Barry and WOKY September 4th at the Auditorium I was at that Beatles concert. I have never seen one of your post before and UA-cam suggested it…Wow do you or did you live in Milwaukee….or should I ask did your Mom most likely because she got the autographs……Most cool…Ciao!
Wow Carl!! You were actually there!! Yes, my mother IS from Milwaukee...incredible!
Can you do a review on your headphones for us? What make and model are they? Great setup and thanks for sharing.
Love it, your a true pro my friend. !!
Sei un grande 👍complimenti per tutti i tuoi video 👌
Grazie Mario!
Nice video! The Telefunken is great! I have 5 Reel to Reels. Hello from Germany
Hi there! Tell us which ones and which is your favorite?
ana[dia]log 2 Revox B, Akai, Grundig, ASC 6000. I like them all.
Very nice!!
Bellissima collezione!
Grazie!
Hi, thanks for the information. Much appreciated.
Fantastic R2Rs! That said, your integrated could use an upgrade.
True! But I do love the sound of my Avi....
Congrats on The Beatles autograph....
What is written at the bottom center...below G. Harrison autograph?
Sorry for my late answer...its the autograph of Berry Woky who got the paper signed by the fab four...
I have the OPP0-105 as well but not the version you have, love it! Have a Nak aswell but only a Dr-10 but it still sounds Amazing!
Good job Richard!
Nakamichi Dragon - drooling... 🤯
Love this since progress bar @2min
Hi ana[dia]log, nice coverage. Take care the Telefunken. Is your music room wooden floored? What about your room size dimension? you have been meticulously caring your loving system components. This is an art of Caring! Keep it up. Thank you.
No, I wish it was wood...that is why a rug is important...room is very strange, about 6 by 6 metets wuth stairs, doors and large windows with an oblique ceiling with old large wood beams...helpful to brake the sound waves...
Great gear man!
Thanks you for your system tour; i am missing a phono preamp .......im a correct? Kind regards
Pro-ject esprit sb with ortofon blue
Pro-ject tube box s
Cambridge cxa60
Bluesound node 2
Pioneer Ct-f950
Wharfedale Denton speakers.
Hi Sven! Thanks for your great suggestions. I heard that Akai was good but not that good...very intrigued! Any specific models in mind?
ana[dia]log On the internet i see a GXC 46D.
Brilliant
Generally speaking good taste.. except for Hendrix. Did you tried good tube amp like citation II or 845 triode... you might like it more then mosfet.
I did, I sold that amp a while ago. Soon I will do a new room tour!
Your being modest and it’s not showing off as it’s also the tools of your trade. I will have to find the updated video of what you have now as I’m sure it’s changed a little bit. I liked the Studer, Nakamichi Dragon, ATC speaker the modded Oppo and 1200G turntable.
Thanks Paul! Yes, I did another tour but that is old too. Thinks have changed a lot. Will do another one soon!
Wow! What else I can say for that. I just had to subscribe your channel after watching this.
Thanks! I really hope you will enjoy also the channel content! ;-)
Hi there. Talking about the oppo, you mentioned you use it for converting.. what do you mean?. Cheers
Hi, lovely system, dude! What cartridge have you fitted in your turntable?
Thanks! A Dynavector 20X2 L
