I love the relationship between Eddie and Dustin so much. Dustin is the only one out of his friends who doesn’t have a sibling and I saw Eddie as his big brother figure. I’m still not over his death. Why did it have to happen that way??
Yes , Dustin is the only one who believed Eddie and wentbout of his way to help him prove he is innocent. More than his death the fact that no-one knows about his innocence and sacrifice kills me.so much. Hope they give him the respect he deserves in the next season.
LOL I think he said in an interview that he hired a dialect coach since this was his first American role. So he worked on it, but it paid off, cuz it was perfect.

There have been plenty of other shows I've watched where the writers have said one thing and then did the opposite or actors that got their contracts extended only to be killed off in that same season. Sometimes its deliberate misdirection to keep fans guessing or things changed due to other factors so I try to take what's said or written with a grain of salt. I do think its possible, due to the fantastical elements of the show, that Eddie could be brought back. I mean a couple of plausible theories have been put forth such as Vecna using his powers to bring Eddie back to serve as one of his army (like Kas from D&D) or that time-travel might be introduced in season 5 & that could undo some things like Eddie's death. I'd take either of those at this point. Hell I'd even take Eddie showing up in a cameo as a dream, hallucination or an Upside Down spirit if it means we get to see him again. I do recall the Duffer brothers saying recently that what happened to Eddie will have huge repurcussions in season 5 which would seem to indicate that he will be a factor. Otherwise why would they make such a point about it when they've never made that distinction about any other loved character that died (not even Barb in season 1)? I don't know, but I guess we'll see and in the meantime I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I really liked Eddie's character since the beginning. I like him coz I can relate to him, being the odd one at school when I was young. Eddie being not a popular guy at school, but he showcased a lot of good qualities that really helped the group. It's just sad that a good character like him died protecting a town that hated him or misunderstood him for being different. In the end, we wished that he could have survived. Eddie's courage at the end really proved to be essential. He drew out the demobats farther away. Without him, Steve's party could have died in exchange.
Eddie's death was so pointless. He went out just like Bob did too. Lazy way to get the audience feeling emotional without having to sacrifice a main character but also shooting themselves in the foot because people cared more about him than, say, Jonathan. Why bring in someone so likeable and charismatic only to write them out of the show after a few episodes?
