I’m blown away by Joseph Quinn. I’m literally searching out everything I can find him in now because his talent and range is so amazing!
First learned of him on Stranger Things and didn’t really think to look for his other roles until I saw him just incidentally in Timewasters. I didn’t even recognize him at first! He has this incredible talent of absolutely shining in a role and at the same time perfectly blending in and uplifting every character around him! It’s really remarkable. And he shines in drama and comedic roles.
He reminds me of great character actors like Anthony Quinn, Alan Rickman, and Helen Mirrin. I can’t wait to see where his career goes…
But yes, a happy role or two please!
I just finished watching Howards End on PBS Masterpiece Theater. Joseph Quinn was just incredible per usual but oh did it make me wish that please, please, please, please, please can he have a happy role?? 😭😭😭😭😭💔

He’s absolutely amazing at crying too. That “I’m so full of emotion but it’s just barely brimming out of my eyes” cry. Really really remarkable and heart wrenching 🥺

I haven’t seen the show just yet, but towards the end when he says for a 6 year old kid, what did he mean? if anyone would care to explain?
Basically, Billy witnessed what he thought was a murder when he was 6 years old. Cormoran Strike is telling him that for a 6yo he was a very good witness. Hope this helps!

It's from how tightly he is gripping the box cutter, he probably also hurt his hand while carving the horse on the wall. Hope this helps!

In the book, Billy was being drugged by his brother, Jimmy. He is also a very disturbed and traumatized individual from witnessing what he believed to be a murder when he was six years old. Hope this helped! 🙂
