I call this moddy-warm space. The consistency in using warmer colours spaces of interaction, both physical(tables, working surfaces) and visual(tv space), is amazing. Doing this while offering a completely different feel in each space is grand. A perfect experiment.
Wow this is next level. I see a mix of the old and the new, everything implemented in a subtle and legant way. It's a very unique design, in a sense it almost looks unreal, like a movie set. It's like taken out of Blade runner 2049. This is mostly because of he lighting and color pallette. And the sufaces! Wtf look at those surfaces! There's a mix of textures, most of the elements are matte and smooth and then there are some glossy elements like the lamps or the chrome of the chairs. Everything seems to be chosen deliberately, even the kitchen utensils. This is not just a cohesive design of a place, it's a curated experience.
full of details and character. I'd prefer mid century style to Nordic or Japanese design too. in terms of mid century, I would definitely add some transparent plastic chairs and some glass furniture too
Jo, your space is gorgeous, thanks for sharing! I might just go stock up on Grass Green Nippon-9041 after watching this video!!💕 Thanks to Stacked as well!
Actually, I actually find it so impressive that she actually designed her house... all by herself, actually. Wow, i'm actually impressed, for real, actually.
This video might cheer my father up. This interior looks like the interior from our second house, I remember him telling me that that is like his magnum opus when he designed it, he loves Elvis.
It makes a change to see a space that isn't a series of white and beige rooms, although I don't care for the green that makes some of the less well lit rooms, quite dark. Love the dining nook and the complete separation of the kitchen, complete with door. I like the creative solutions best of all, but overall it's a moody vibe that doesn't work for me who is mildy depressive.
Yooo this is so cool, so well thought out and there’s so much character. Not just something off Pinterest that many of us tend to go to cause we have no idea what to do
Really cool looking home. What's the weird plastic bear figure decorations on the shelf? I keep seeing that pop up in homes on this channel but I never see it in North American or European homes. Is it a Singaporean thing?
Its called Bearbricks and it comes various sizes from small to 200% and 1000% which could cost up to thousand of dollars (SGD) depending on design & artist collabs
I am not really a fan of this Bearbrick as in my opinion it dosent fit the aesthetics of most homes. If the owner is a hobbyist or collector and displays many Bearbrick pieces, then thats fine though.
Really pleasant and quaint home with loads of lovely touches, but man... When you really pause to think about it, it's pretty insane what Singaporeans are willing to pay per sqm for renovation these days... Also, drink everytime you hear "actually"!
It is a bit absurd to have to fill out a form to get any contact information for the designer. Couldn't a simple link to his Instagram have been put in?
Alright Jo... 120,000 dollars... Just to renovate cmon man... This is the equivalent to architectural digest.... Love the mid century modern style but bruh...

Definitely one of the nicest houses being feature.
The finishing looks awesome and theme, and the details are so subtle yet consistent throughout. ❤
Glad you like it, Elvin! 🤩

Creative use of the bay windows to maximize usable space. Wished it was shown more clearly how it was integrated into the design.
