    Great video. This will help me a lot when I do my valves.

    You should measure each valve and set them more toward the loose side not the tight side like you did because they tighten over time not loosen.

    I think I can do some things but you and MrDuhfactor take the mystery out of how to do it right. Thanks

    Thank you, I am hoping that I can adjust my valves and not rebuild my top end. Great video

    I've been putting off the valve adjustment on the klr for a while. Very intimidating. Needs to be done though, just turned 15000 miles.

      Twistygrip One you get the cover off, it's not that bad. There's just a lot of interferences and it's a tight space in general.

    Are those valve clearance specs good for a 2003 wr450f?

    Hi, you don't have engine in TDC??

    Good video but you should have measured each valve to have true numbers on each.

    Shouldn't you have a Velcro brace of some sort. Let that wrist get better.
    Good to see your ok overall!

    i need info bout wr 450.
    i have wr 450 2003 road legal, i didnt drive it for 6 months, now when i start him, it drives ok and bla bla, but gas leaks from bottom of carb, and after few mins of driving bike stops, and sometimes chokes, is that normal for 6 months of not driving, i believe carb and gas tank after that time, all dirt fall into carb and at bottom of tank.
    so that is only problem of gas leak and choking and stopping bike

    • @alexmarshall9429
      @alexmarshall9429 6 років тому

      Your carb needs cleaning bro. The gas leaking from the bottom means that the float is stuck (or at least the needle is stuck). It's kinda normal, especially if you didn't use stabilizer. The ethanol in the gas will leave a varnish in the carb, clogging the jets and gumming stuff up. :-( ethanol sucks...use straight gas if you can, at least before storing it!

    so i have a quick question. Im trying to adjust my valves. how much pressure do you put on the feeler gauge? how hard do u push it?

    • @vegasromaniac
      @vegasromaniac  7 років тому +1

      +MΣNT0R™ not hard, hard to measure, but if you push it and it bends its to hard. The only thing k I can think of, is not harder than closing a zip tie.

    • @godspeed44
      @godspeed44 6 років тому +4

      The feeler gauge should feel like you are pulling scotch tape off of the roll.

    missed the part where he said to have the piston at tdc. or cam lobes opposite of valve shims. WHEN YOU START.

    • @vegasromaniac
      @vegasromaniac  5 років тому +1

      Each bike it's difrent, the wr that has the regular motor not the inverted piston, it's exactly ass stated, you have dots on the cam. Sprockets to align with tdc.. I sold that bike can't redo the video and the new yz250fx I have now, it's exactly the opposite

      Man, it's so easy after you do it twice, first time my hand was shaking

    • @dorianjames9798
      @dorianjames9798 5 років тому

      It’s actually pretty easy, I just sanding down my shim with 180 sand paper. I went from 1.85 to 1.45. Exhaust on YFZ 450 is .010 and Intake was .004
