i have no idea where you got this idea that only hyuga can only pen marlborough, the dante has 620mm pen on its AP shell, so hyuga isnt alone, not only because of there High pen, but because to pen marlborough you dont need alot, this is because the ships armour isnt great, it does have a 305mm belt but its a slither of armour, the upper belts are only around 228mm and 200mm in thickness, which most dreads can do easily, marlborugh does have fairly low magazines and shell rooms though, so its not a floating ammo rack but still again, no idea where you get this idea that the marlborough is some tank, your right that the Ammo is Op but the Ammo isnt too overpowered, yes it gets the best AP and HE with the seccond best SAP but it only gets 10 guns, and the SAP is similar to hyuga sap in terms of it having not a huge amount of Pen, compared to soviet SAP. while you could make the argument about more ships being added, realisticly all those ships would be better than the marlbourogh other than new mexico, really the QEs should be added if your gonna add other 15inch ships, because there not too different in terms of shell power, bar the HE but even then HE isnt the be all end all when fighting dreads.
Jesus thats OP, i was interested what will be this "Major" update new meta, no new meta in air, no tank, almost nothing but this.. this battleship is that new OP meta
Hyuga is better(12 guns + better SAP, that is available in stock). Kommuna is still with AA and high reload rate and 12 guns (and HE, that travels at 950 m/s). This thing does no new meta. It's just a strong compender.
actually in the future of warthunder naval is that if there are now ww2 battle ship the dreadnoughts will most likely be separated from 5.0+ to 1.0+ and the reaserch points will lower and the cost of the silver lion and the battles will be like battle of jutland but there will be planes and different kinds of dreadnought and the cruisers will be light cruisers and destroyer will be the reserved ones this is only my opinion this might not come true
Naval has never been worse imo, high caliber he is now ridicolously broken, taking up to 20-30 percent crew in a single salvo. The he/sap shrapnel ignores armor in a way it shouldn't. The new aiming is just really annoying to use too
I used to play a lot of top tier Naval until Gaijin "rebalanced the economy" and gave the BBs 40k+ repair costs. After that, I could get 6 kills with premium and still take a loss. No thank you. On top of this, you need to consider that any many games, any BB is bomb/torp bait and you will have many spawns where you just die and take the full repair cost hit while having done nothing, simply because of air/torps, and this is extremely frequent if the BB is not your initial spawn. I lost all interest in high tier naval. It's simply too unrewarding and feels like crap to play. I only play boats to grind tasks now. Naval is in a very bad state and it's all Gaijin's fault for being so stingy with SL and also for the many stupid damage model buffs to DDs.
My very first BB Match was terrible. Stock grind, no FPE, no parts. No sooner than I started to turn out of spawn and lay a shell downrange, I get hit by an HE round that lights me, and proceeds to burn my ammo 10 seconds later. 350 damage done in less than 2 minutes of playing and a lost free repair. Survivability is a joke.
Having a BB is a mix bag of Fun and pain most naval player can just rush on getting rank 5 BB then get wrecked . Specialy its just dificult to survive if your teamates are noobs on battleships within 5 mins they are gone and all your light cruisers are in the bottom of the sea. With a 50k and up repair cost its just painful. 10mins in game its just you and 10 ships focus firing on you.
Still they insist on making parts and FPE research items rather than something by default. Absolutely moronic game design choice for a mode based around ships. And to be honest, there is no way you should have been able to recover from the flooding and listing to that extent at the end. The fact that ships can 100% recover from catastrophic flooding at all is ridiculous. There should be a threshold where pumps or bulkheads are overwhelmed, and from that point you can’t recover from that amount of flooding. Like a 13.5 in hole in the side of a destroyer should at most allow them to get back to 80% buoyancy, not 100%.
Why don't 50k SL battleships come with tools and fpe unlocked? It's ridiculous to have to burn to death when literally everything catches you on fire. You can't even repair your turrets at a cap point. I don't think they want people to play naval.
Infamous is not a synonym of famous it means famous for being bad/evil it is a synonym of notorious. I understand that it doesn't follow standard English grammar rules so mistakes will happen with non-native speakers. The word, famous, comes down to English from its Latin root, fama, which meant “celebrated” in the sense of having a good reputation, esteem, or stature. Someone without stature would not be celebrated; or, in other words, he would be infamous. The word, infamous, today retains the old sense of the word, famous; and when we add in-, it means to have a low reputation or esteem.
Semi armor piercing. It's the best round in War Thunder for most battleships by far, because it has enough penetration for almost all targets, coupled with a huge amount of explosive. Generally when I played BBs, I would bring 100% SAP on BBs with a good SAP round, or something like 2/3 SAP and 1/3 AP on ships with bad SAP rounds (Germany).

What does SEP round stand for?
I’ve never heard a round for naval guns be called SEP, especially that of a battleship.
