1:01:40 Wait....then how did everyone come back to life?
Thanks
I like how Alan basically cast the worst spell in DND
My biggest regret is that I forgot Alan *demanded* player death in the first episode and got his wish in the last 2 minutes.
No DnD moment will ever top Rowan playing triple or nothing to save the lives of his coworkers and me erupting into literal cheers as he managed to find a way to save them despite all odds. This one shot was special. It had action, suspense, and plenty of dick sucking. I can't believe Rob planned for all of his monsters to be "serviceable" and designed each set of genitals to be lore accurate. Truly the mark of a master DM. Happy Halloween, guys!
My man not like this! xD
But it's true tho
With just a 10% chance of failure each roll, he had a 53% chance of suceeding 6 times in a row
I don’t think he failed a single manipulation check in like, 20-30 checks.
Nah, my top is Ben failing 5-6 rolls in row😂😂😂
Had me on the edge of my seat, head in hands, nervous-laughing.
Alan: "Don't blow it, Rowan!"
Rowan: "That's my secret, Alan. I blow everything."
😂😂😂 this is the comment I have been searching for
Reads even better when you imagine avengers music while reading 😅
Can we make it Bored canon that Brenson can find literally any thing that's missing? ANY time someone needs something found they call him
Bryan*
@@LikeIGiveAShit you mean Brendan, right?
Bison
Boyrun?
Bye ren.
Rowan actually said "I won't let my *friends* die"
Character development immaculate god dam. Acted like a true leader
I'm glad that he made friends with pens!
Nah, he just needs the meatshields.
When did he say "i wont let my friends die"?
You know how hard it is to get new employees that work for that amount of money?
None of them asked for leave.
Am I the only one cracking up right now after hearing Rob say this was a kids dress up party and instantly realising this whole time Rowan has been "convincing" them to tell them hints 😂🤣 I'm dead
I think Rob said it was "college kids" which would mean they werent really kids. They were adults that were drunk and probably high on all sorts of drugs. They were probably more phucked up than our heroes.
Best part of it is that the package they delivered was probably drugs.
Exactly what I thought!! Hahahaha
Plot twist: rowan was immune to the mold and he knew EXACTLY what he was doing. Free breakfast turned all-you-can-eat buffet
I thought the same thing
Rowan ressurecting every employee was awesome.
Well yeah, but not first time he resurrected because not applying for leave.
Rowan was unironically the MVP in this 😂 Who knew that being good at manipulation was so useful
All-Charisma build
@@SentaroTheTiger Hell yeah!!! 😎
Sucking off college kids, i mean monsterettes help apparently 😂
Byron passed 24 searching tests in a row, 5 of them with disadvantage (including last heroic one) :) mr. Robert you owe me some math - I watched all the Rowan's manipulations twice for that counting!:)
Also:
1. Byron passed 68% of tests, Adam 70%, Rowan 72% and Alan 60% (but Byron mostly tested his best skills at the beginnig and had almost 90% of passed tests before mummy fight, Rowan fot most od his percentage at the resurection tests).
2. Adam should have only +1 instead of +couple on manipulation cause as Robert said he passed all the previous tests:)
3. Adam failed all 5 of his withstanding tests, and Rowan failed every one of his 10 low point tests (thinking, searching and sneaking tests).
5. Everyone used every stat at least once.
6. Actually Byron outside of searching failed the most: 19 times, Adam 13, Alan 40 and Rowan 15
7. Rowan should have killed Dracula earlier - he forgot to add +1 once and his first 92 should have been success:) also other guys forgot to add +1 a lot!
Assuming I understand probability correctly, Byron succeeding at 29 searching checks with an 80% chance of success at each is
((0.8)^29) * 100%
=0.15% chance
That is approximately 1 in 646.
@@codinghub3759 That is correct. While it doesn't matter here (because all had to succeed), it should have been needing 19 passes at an 80% chance and 5 additional chances at 64% chance (80% twice). (0.8^19) * ((0.8^2)^5). If you were checking for odds of a specific number of checks it would matter, but it's the same result here (0.8^2^5 = 0.8^10. 0.8^10 * 0.8^19 = 0.8^29)
Damn, this is impressive!
@@Vermouth_19 I'm glad you used the word 'impressive' rather then 'stupid' or 'wierd':)
Did anyone else literally jump for joy when Rowan successfully rolled five consecutive manipulation checks to revive everyone?!?! Hell yeah!!! That was some damn fine role playing there. Damn fine!
Hell yeah. Also, 6 times (1 for the first, 2 for the second, 3 for the third.) It was a 53% chance of success (0.9^6).
Heck YEAH!
Having two episodes a week has been so refreshing so I'm really looking forward to the girls campaign or maaaaybe even a Christmas styled one shot...... 🎅👀😂
Can’t wait for Rowan to suck off santa lol
For the Christmas theme, they could potentially act as elves where they have to deliver the presents in place of santa-claus.
The skills they need would be:
stealth (to infiltrate)
dexterity/flexibility (if they decide to go to the chimney)
charisma (to avoid conflicts with the Guard Dog/ mischievous cat)
Strength (when they decide to beat up the dog/knock the dad if he catches them)
Hell, I'd like to see a New Year's Murder Mystery. And the killer has to be revealed by midnight.
@@mr.truffles9294 Don't forget Rowan's charisma checks on the dads. Easiest way to put a man like me at ease and to sleep, is a Rowan-style charisma check.
Just realized, Adam would be the only one who doesn't go to jail because he never succeeded on an attack roll
He is an accomplice of "manipulating" friends to hit the target 😂
no because hes still an accessory to murder, and is still covered in self defense wounds, and presumably blood of the victims as well. You dont just get away with going to jail because you sucked at killing people, at best thats still assault, attempted murder and accessory to murder, at worst due to all of the aforementioned wounds and likely being atleast partially covered in the victims blood, hes found just as guilty as the rest.
Maybe them being under the affects of a hallucinogenic agent copulating at tech town, they arent necessarily sent to jail at all, but tech town is found entirely liable, and likey closes its doors for good as the kind of lawsuit which would arise from a dangerous substance copulating at your place of business leading to the deaths of countless folks would be outrageous, and that also definitely several health code violations as well, although im not as certain about what laws would take affect here and what that would mean for our merry band of murder and penis hungry heros. I dont know that because their actions were the result of the hallucinogenic agent unwilling consumed likely copulating at their place of work, wether or not or how liable they themselves remain, especially in new zealand specifically.
tldr; unless they all get some sort of pass on a tecnicality and simply are left to deal with their own guilt; likely also financially ruining tech town and maybe resulting in rowans dad being arrested on some sort of negligence, Adam is still , and probably just as, fucked like the rest.
Me realising what Rowan did for manipulation after hearing the epilogue😳😅
Oh gosh...was he blowing up the- y'know what. Probably they're age of consent.... right? Right?!
There must've been parents present at these parties, right? Right?!
@@wksers_serksIf I recall correctly, Rob said something about college. So, yeah I guess?
From the epilogues perspective they were killing anyone who wouldn't let Rowan "manipulate" them...
@@mre2700 that made it 10× worse now... thanks for creating that image in my head :')
"Hey byron, thats how you do thinking" Baradoon came out 😂
So true 😂
Maybe Rowan is just preparing to play a Bard in their next DnD campaign
The horny bard trope, even for a cliche, is over-used.
@thomasbecker9676 - yes, it is, but people keep doing it, and it's honestly right up Rowan's alley. *shrug*
Never said ya have to like it.
Rowan would play the horny monk…
I'm surprised that Rowan didn't offer his service to the officer at the end 😂
That was fantastic guys!
That would truly have been the perfect ending xD
I love how Rowan pretty much sucked everyone off but when the woman vampire spawn arrived he respecfully just said "You're alright in my books" as a true gentleman would
I've watched 116 Episodes of NPC DND between episodes of 3 and 4 of Bored Horror...... You've created a monster.
lol Welcome to the VLDL D&D club. The series are so good. It's hard not to binge watch.
😳
5 monsters, and several satisfied monsterettes.
I hope that they will continue the two episodes a week!
Was hitting the thumbs up, but couldn’t move it off of *nice*…
Now 116 eps in on NPC D&D - not long and you’re caught up.
I was on the absolute edge of my seat for Rowan’s triple-or-nothing rolling, oh my goodness
same 😂
I think i's becoming a tradition that Alan is the only one to die in these one-shots (remember Isolation games?)
Good call!
But he didn't die in the first one, the Baldur's gate, or did he?
And the other bored one shot, he survived that
Rowan: "Oh, hey guys. I forgot I had this medkit all along. Oh, it's empty. Nevermind." 😂
Rowan is basically playing his charisma based character from the video game logic videos.
Rob: Wants to make a super spooky game where people die and sh*t
Also Rob: Allows Rowan to resurrect all of the others xD
Rob is just too nice - and the best game master ever!
BRO The resurrection manipulation checks are SO HYPE I literally cried happy tears for yall
I was yelling out at work lol
This seriously needs to be made into a movie guys...
Also, just as the banshee took Alan out I got a commercial break saying "having health insurance is important"😂😂
I got a game ad: "You are resurrected as a mushroom with 40 wives". Insane 😂
"Rowans triple or nothing" or Ben's "failing 5 times in a row"
Which one was the greatest Table breaker
"I can search and sneak, but I can't shoot for sh*t!" I love me some alliteration. 😂
That final plot twist made Rowan's "manipulation checks" make a lot more sense.
I really want this rule set and adventure published somewhere, so that I can run it for my friends next Halloween.
Rob already told us all of the rules.
Yes! I would love that!
without a shadow of a doubt, the single best one shot I have witnessed in my life.
Always love watching Rob and the gang, but props to the music department on this one! It does for this session what the green screen does for ENPC DnD.
Out of all the D&D videos I love Roberts acting the most.
I just realized I've been smiling ear to ear during Rowan's rolls to save his friends.
You know, what true horror is? To watch this WITHOUT subtitles ON. But not the nice kind of horror, that you enjoy, like this video. The bad, bad stuff...
I was SO tense waiting to see if Rowan would succeed 6 rolls in a row out of pure stubbornness to refuse to let any of his employees go on leave. Because we all know that's why he did it.
42:48 Rowan's unnaturally good luck paying off! Well, either his natural good luck at rolls, or his talent for rolling low in for gambling rolls specifically 😛
I hope now that they have their set they can just crank out great content, Enough for them to work only on VLDL(I assume a full on company at this point?) and be able to hire the rest of the cast.
Have to say.... Thanks for all of this, it's too damn good!
Also the editing team has been doing a GREAT job with adding in great sound fx/music to everything, timing is perfecto!
Happy Halloween guys! Adam definitely deserves to get Saturday AND Sunday off for taking the hit for Rowan, but as Rowan managed to persuade the good doctor to revive him, he's still going to get all those pay cuts for all his comments...
On the bright side, Alan finally got out of his job.
Loved the conclusion, the epilogue really shows Robs twisted mind.
Would've been more in character if Rowan had pulled everyone infront of him causing their self-sacrifices yelling something about 'managers privelidges' tough :D
Something to consider for the game system, since the specialty is once per game, either having it continue to be in effect until it is successful or having it only be expended when successful might be a good way to play.
Spoilers:
Of course Alan was going to be the one who ended up dying. His character has the worst luck out of them. Absolutely brilliant story
But the question is, how did that college kid revive him in the first place 🤔😅
His character Toruk died in the Isolation games too, Greg needed to reclass too, Alan's time to shine will come someday 😂
@@Adz2 oh that's a good point too. Poor Alan
Alan is the typical "we need to get away now" at the start of the horror film, and the (probably only one) died because he has awareness 😂
Spoilers:
This basically means that for every college kid they killed, rowan sucked off the rest... Those chargers are gonna be hefty
omg i didnt think of that oh god
Wow wow wow
Don't forget the 20 yr old female vampire. I feel like he definitely violated a couple of girls, not just the guys.
Also Rowen definitely caught something that night. So the next bored episode needs to have signs of him getting an oral sti.
@@keepironman14 Again?! But this time there won’t be a Heros Feast to cure him.
@@keepironman14He just negged the people he couldn't suck off.
They should 100% have Alan just be like a ghost for the next few episodes of Bored. They can interact with him but he is obviously dead
I love how often people deliberately get Bryrion's name wrong
SPOILERS:
so rowan did what to the "kids"? i wonder if Rob improvised the college part after he thought of the ramifications
Rob said "college kids" so they are adults basically
Police: yeah we think you killed a bunch of college kids at a Halloween party
Rowan: ill suh ya dih
absolutely fantastic episode and mini series guys. Now looking forward to the Christmas one shot by Rob cus that is going to be killer....you are doing one right?
So surprised Rowan didn't offer to suck their way out of being arrested at the end.
I love these as much as the other D&D episodes I just feel bad for my coworkers as they hear me laughing at the sucking jokes and have no idea why I'm laughing this hard this early in the morning.
Very fitting that the straight man who kept warning everyone of the imminent danger in episode 1 was the only one who died at the end.
The two best mental images I have from this, that weren't technically reflected in the roleplay, are Rowan aggressively sucking off Dracula while holding a sword to his throat - to convince him to revive his friends, and also Rowan, in the midst of battle with a frightful banshee, quickly spinning around to punt a ghostly choir boy into the wall.
Well, now we need a Home Alone style Christmas miniseries of these guys delivering to Kevin.
I wonder if there should be sanity checks occasionally that could slowly drive them to madness.
So, canonically, what was the box of 'Replacements' there for? Like, them bringing the box of replacements shows evidence that *their* experience was real.
That ending made me as frustrated as I assume Rob is at all times dealing with everyone’s nonsense
The joy of my Tuesday!
That was so so great. What a plot twist ending too, hats off to Rob! The main D&D campaign inspired friends and I to start our own (first ever) campaign recently and we're really enjoying it. Please keep up this phenomenal work!!
Well done on making it out alive Rowan, Alan, Adam, and Benson.
Rowan's rolls for revival was the most anxiety inducing moment ever! So great!
Im surprised byrons sneak stat isnt higher because in bored everyone forgets him all the time
I would've tried for ejecting the banshee out the window for one long rest as she makes her way back up.
Rowan had the most spectacular arc, from his unique manipulation tactics to bringing back his friends to life... We saw him do it with Alan at the church for his funeral... Man's got powers!!!
Robert Mate you are a bloody genius storyteller, the twist the end is un fucking believably good, salute to you man, loved every damn second of it
Oh my, what a twist! Well done viva team, but FANTASTIC job by Rob and also the sound person(s?) for the spooky vibe.
Four great episodes. Thank you, guys. I hope you had as much fun playing as I had watching ❤❤
Oh, I can't wait for Rob to disallow comedy retractions.
3:15 I think this is a great oneshot! I think it's very engaging and challenging and fun, but it could've been a bit more balanced. You could've made a rule where you can summon them purposely. You could've put another search objective where you find something important or vexing to the creature like bait for the werewolf, the mummies sarcophagus, the oozes bath (she has to stay hydrated), the banshees portrait of her dead husband, the vampires human blood "cattle" (living human food source) or take 1 damage to cut yourself and put some blood out. Damaging moving or placing these somewhere could attract the monster to that area. Or you could convince the monsterling to help and lure them somewhere.
I also would have put one of either more medkits around, made them able to rest more, made defeating monsters give loot like medkits or buff/debuff consumables, gave more health points or a con attribute they could've put points into, allowed one death saving throw or a way to heal your allies back to 1hp, or made medkits heal more. I think they're a bit too weak at least in the beginning and could've maybe used jusssst a bit more in the players favor.
Rob should publish this one! Would be great to play this one next Halloween with some friends.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN I LOVED THIS CAMPAIGN
0.9^6 is 0.53 meaning Rowan had a rough 50/50 chance to revive all of his friends. Truly one of the coinflips of all time.
It was meant to be the horror, but Rowan happened. But I absolutely have to say that the dracula fight with 2 guys sacrificing their lives to save Rowan and him (as a reference to Bodger) ultimately gambling to save everyone. Just amazing.
That was awesome. I hope this gets referenced in Bored by one of the characters some time but no one knows what that person is talking about.
I loved it, great plot twist at the end... 😂 killed a bunch of people at a party, that was soo dark.
love watching your dnd, i dont have friends to play that so i never started but its cool to see someone with similar humor to do so
I’m really enjoying these TTRPG series, the guys are so funny, i can see how hard Rob has to work to keep them on track. Does make me want to give one of these games a go at home
When I saw the first part of this oneshot I decided to finally put together my own ttrpg campaign. Today, with the last upload of this series I ran my second session of my campaign that was inspired by this. I haven't had so much fun in a long while. Thank you for inspiring me to finally write and run my own campaign. Love you guys!
I love how they all look sexy attacking and then there's byron at the back bleeding out with 1 hp
28:42 rob sounds pissed when he says no you weren’t
There's no way for me to see the dice, but I couldn't stop myself from leaning forward when Rowan was trying to resurrect everyone! That was a blast!
The DM's performance and brilliant world-crafting, the... unconventional information-gathering tactics, the repeat melodramatic sacrifices to save the fighter, the insanely epic resurrection rolls... what a ride!! The only way it could have been improved is if it ended with Rowan turning to the officer accusing them of murder and lackadaisically saying "Suck yer dick" xD
By now I have to wonder if the servants are fighting over who gets to go talk to them after the hour. They all want their turns with Rowan. :)
I needed that today, Thankyou!
Well, this was entertaining as all hell, thanks !
Can't wait for a Christmas Murder Mistery themed game and for the girls to start their own campaign.
See you guys on Thursday.
Thoroughly enjoyed these! I’ve laughed my ass off so much watching you guys play. Thank you for the laughs and also from someone that’s never played D&D you make it easy to understand.
Out of curiosity, how would Rob justify the epilogue if, hypothetically, nobody decided to attack and they all died to the werewolf trying to leave?
This was fantastic and inspiring as a one shot, peak one shot material right here.
Side note, Rowan might have a lot of college kids applying to Techtown for reasons....
The sound effects and music have been amazing, very immersive. The hour long eps are great, please do another Bored game!! Id love to see Byron again or Ellie, Ellie is wonderful!
The final hurrah of the moustache...it performed heroically.
So by that ending rowan's sexual assult is canon??
Haha didnt thought of that.
I wonder if his wife, kid, work wife, and work kid know.
His Room mate will be pretty mad...
Epilogue aside, Rowan outfought, outspoke, and outsucked Dracula. MVP.
I was 85% sure that the game would end with them encountering a futuristic vehicle with four people in it with a packet on the way to trakula asking for directions. And then when the group tries to warn them in a panic they become possessed and lead the new group to the estate. Just as they themselves were warned at the beginning of the game by the medieval dressed woman and then led to the estate.
But if they imagined the whole thing, where did the weapons come from? Did the costume party have a real hunting rifle, a sword, and a pistol lying around? Sounds to me like those kids died to their own carelessness.
im gonna be honest did not expect that ending hahaha
Rowan rolling to resurrect everyone was nail-bitingly tense!
That was a lot of fun, guys! Allan will be missed on BORED 😢 Happy Halloween!
Well technically he didn’t apply for leave so maybe there’s hope.
@@NeoSimSim Adam couldn't get out that way. I don't see why Alan should be able to...
The most loyal employees. They literally jump into Dracula's jaws...
rob: alright another monster comes and....
*roll dices* *slurp slurp*
rob: and he came
Don't know if you're gonna read this Rob, but I just want to say that this was an amazingly amusing campaign, but I am also a little sad to see we didn't get to some of the bits you had planned out! Is there any chance you could release this as a one-shot campaign somewhere? Would love to run this with some of my friends!
ROB REALLY JUST DID THAT AT THE END 😂 Did not expect that at all 😂 at least they can make some kind an insanity plea since they were hallucinating the whole thing 🤷♀️
this was really so fun! The stakes were great, humor was fantastic, captions on point as always! Great job team!
