Speaker Biography: Varun Bagai is Sr. Technical Project Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific for Analytical Validation Consulting Services as part of the Global Professional Services team. In his current role, Varun is responsible for managing Analytical Validation projects and providing consultation services for Molecular Testing labs onboarding new NGS assays. Varun has been with Thermo Fisher Scientific for the past 13 years and started his career in R&D developing products and applications for NGS including Oncomine assays and Ion Torrent instruments. Before moving into his current position, Varun was a Clinical Application Consultant for about 2 years and was responsible for managing clinical customers in North America using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) IVD products and implementing NGS Laboratory Developed Tests (LDT's) with pre-sale, training, troubleshooting, analytical validation, implementation, and post launch support.
