You can give a viva anytime after reaching Oman, and you get 3 attempts to clear it else you will have to wait for 6 months. Viva is conducted twice a month by the Ministry of Health.

Because the demand for pharmacists are higher in the regional areas thus 491 visa is easier to get for pharmacist. however it doesnt mean that you can not get other visas.
