I've visited Oman. I can confirm. They are the nicest people. Complete opposite personalities of their neighbors UAE and Saudi Arabia. Very humble people and live in a beautiful part of the region full of springs, mountains, flat lands and desert. Its basically Colorado of the middle east.
I am a Filipino and I practically have lived in Oman since I was 5. I consider it my home and whenever I go back to the Philippines I encourage my friends to visit as it is such a nice and beautiful country.

@@jaelynn7575 i am a girl plus i have been living here since my birth. I m not omani tho. We have temples, churches and mosques all together here... There are alot of white privilege here too tbh. Like for example most of the radio djs and higher paid jobs are white people. There arent any discrimination against other religions tbh. Most women dont even wear abaya here (Omani women wears abaya) but you can see all women wearing fancy dresses and skirts. I dont wear hijab or abaya. Most fast food workers (McDonald's, kfc, burger king etc,) employees are filipinos, malaysians, office workers and teachers depends. But yea, you wont see a woman working in construction labour site. There are women who are engineers, doctors, lawyers etc. My mother is a maths professor. The lady living in front if my house is an tailor. So its a very good place. Plus, in beaches, you can see women in bikinis too. Its a stereotype that women cant have freedom in these countries but anyways do you know Oman is one of the top 10 safest countries in the world?

I'm a Christian, from the US, so you may say my view is biased (but aren't all of ours). But I have traveled extensively and from what I have witnessed Muslims in the US are treated far more fairly and humanely than in other parts of the world, and in some cases, better than Christians are treated in certain Muslim countries. Just my opinion from what I've seen.

The similarities between Omani and Indian cooking is blowing my mind..the first dish with shark is super similar to hyderabadi biriyani and the meat and rice congeal thingy is similar to haleem..and halwa is also halwa in India and we have a lot of varieties of it too
What do you expect man, comes with the geography. Many of our traders and richer folk travelled to India and some married and some migrated there I’m sure, heck one of our sultans are buried in India. We have many families who have origins from Iran and the Subcontinent Al Baluchi, Al Lawati, Al Raisi, etc. We are very interlinked and we are all humans, and god willing we can all get along and look at our similarities and share our differences not fight over them 🤍♥️💚

@@jaelynn7575 i am a girl plus i have been living here since my birth. I m not omani tho. We have temples, churches and mosques all together here... There are alot of white privilege here too tbh. Like for example most of the radio djs and higher paid jobs are white people. There arent any discrimination against other religions tbh. Most women dont even wear abaya here (Omani women wears abaya) but you can see all women wearing fancy dresses and skirts. I dont wear hijab or abaya. Most fast food workers (McDonald's, kfc, burger king etc,) employees are filipinos, malaysians, office workers and teachers depends. But yea, you wont see a woman working in construction labour site. There are women who are engineers, doctors, lawyers etc. My mother is a maths professor. The lady living in front if my house is an tailor. So its a very good place. Plus, in beaches, you can see women in bikinis too. Its a stereotype that women cant have freedom in these countries but anyways do you know Oman is one of the top 10 safest countries in the world?

I'm a Christian, from the US, so you may say my view is biased (but aren't all of ours). But I have traveled extensively and from what I have witnessed Muslims in the US are treated far more fairly and humanely than in other parts of the world, and in some cases, better than Christians are treated in certain Muslim countries. Just my opinion from what I've seen.

The similarities between Omani and Indian cooking is blowing my mind..the first dish with shark is super similar to hyderabadi biriyani and the meat and rice congeal thingy is similar to haleem..and halwa is also halwa in India and we have a lot of varieties of it too
What do you expect man, comes with the geography. Many of our traders and richer folk travelled to India and some married and some migrated there I’m sure, heck one of our sultans are buried in India. We have many families who have origins from Iran and the Subcontinent Al Baluchi, Al Lawati, Al Raisi, etc. We are very interlinked and we are all humans, and god willing we can all get along and look at our similarities and share our differences not fight over them 🤍♥️💚
