🇴🇲RAKHAL : Mix together wheat flour, salt and water. Let sit for a couple of hours and then use dough to cover flat metal plate.
🇴🇲SHARK + RICE: If dry shark, boil until tender and then mixed into a salad. If fresh shark, cut into pieces and then fry with spices and rice.

Since 17 years I'm in Kuwait, felt much respect of Omanians 🙏 really they are awesome to accept their colleagues...like Mr. Muhammad here, he enjoys with his friend to it's peaks without any pride and prejudice.... eating raw/salted shark or Omani- halwa... The sandwich with chips - For me honestly hearing first time, it must be tasted... Many times I have been through Muscat airport, Oman air is my favorite, even a 3weeks before too I have been through Muscat for Kuwait....

The similarities between Omani and Indian cooking is blowing my mind..the first dish with shark is super similar to hyderabadi biriyani and the meat and rice congeal thingy is similar to haleem..and halwa is also halwa in India and we have a lot of varieties of it too
What do you expect man, comes with the geography. Many of our traders and richer folk travelled to India and some married and some migrated there I’m sure, heck one of our sultans are buried in India. We have many families who have origins from Iran and the Subcontinent Al Baluchi, Al Lawati, Al Raisi, etc. We are very interlinked and we are all humans, and god willing we can all get along and look at our similarities and share our differences not fight over them 🤍♥️💚

I have learned so much from watching these videos, Egypt, bad, Oman, good, that is simplifying things but as someone who used to travel quite a bit, still good to know. Love to see you using the whole shark & not just cutting off the fins for a bowl of soup. One of the most peaceful and beautiful countries in the world. I lived there from the age of 4 to 17 and honestly I recommend everyone to visit atleast once in their life.
yea they seem to be a chill people I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Also all those meat dishes I can't wait to try some for myself.
I would suggest more than once ... last time i was there I was serving ... only had a few days leave ... but enjoyed it immensely ... wish i could afford to go back and spend a month or two sampling all the different foods and styles of cooking
