    But what if your baby is too young to have been sleep trained? Mine is 3 months old and already teething.

      They say it’s because we are laying down, so the pressure on the teeth is worse at night (for adults too, experiencing toothache)

    Thank you for this video! My 9 month old is teething the past 2 nights and he has had a high fever. My reaction was to comfort him to sleep every time he would wake up and feed him Panadol which is paracetamol (I’m Australian) I’m going to try to stop doing that now

    Thank you for this advice. I am totally guilty of doing the breastfeeding until my son falls asleep and keeping him to our bed because he teething. I'll go back again on training him to staying and sleeping in his own crib. Thanks again for this video. 😊

    I downloaded your sleeping baby guide because I have Z E R O sleeping foundations lol I’m trying to sleep train, but daddy keeps picking her up and it’s totally messing it up 😒 I’m going to make him watch this.
    Not to mention my mother in law always saying *why do you leave my baby crying for so long* I’m going to make her watch this too 😑😑😑😑

    My daughter is 6 months old. For the past few days, at 9 pm night, she puts fingers in her mouth and chews on them and then starts crying. She stays up until 1 or 2am. We tried applying pressure; it does help for some time. I know you said in the video you don't want to comment on pain killers, but that's what's helps my baby fall asleep otherwise he gets very fussy and stays up until 230am if we don't offer anything. Is my baby, teething? Once we give her pain killers, she sleeps and wakes up in the morning at 9 or 10 am

      Hi Seema! Every baby acts differently when teething. The big thing is we don't want to change bedtime routine and sleep expectations just because baby is teething. Children are actually getting new teeth all the way until age twelve!
      Here is a podcast I have on Natural vs Medicated Teething Remedies: littlezsleep.com/blog/85-teething-remedies/
      And here are some resources from the American Academy of Pediatrics: www.healthychildren.org/English/ages-stages/baby/teething-tooth-care/Pages/Teething-Pain.aspx

    Hey Becca, My 6 month old has a syndrome called 22Q therefore I cant relate to "normal" baby methods. However she had a bottom tooth pop out at 4 months without me even knowing but now she consistently cries for 2-3 hours before going to bed. I follow your bedtime routine but the moment I get her out of the bath she starts going crazy. I also noticed that she wakes up at the same time for the past week ( 4:35 am) for feed and goes back to sleep till 7 or 8am. WHAT IS HAPPENING??? is it because of teething or is it just her condition? she has been like this since she turned 5 months......PLZ HELP!!

    Do you use this same approach for mild sicknesses like a common cold? Or do you give a sick breastfed baby extra feeds at night? I don't mean serious sickness of course.

    • @littlezsleep
      @littlezsleep  Рік тому +1

      A baby will get 6-10 colds in a year, so we want to keep expectations the same if they have a mild cold!

    You say go back to sleep training method... I just want to be sure, does this also applies if you used the strict cry it out method?

    • @littlezsleep
      @littlezsleep  3 роки тому +2

      If you used the CIO method for your family and that worked, then yes that's what you could go back to. But I always want to make sure no matter what the method, it's being applied fairly!

    • @amalexander7711
      @amalexander7711 2 роки тому +8

      CIO if a baby is in pain? That is cruel. Imagine this: you are in pain and alone. You don’t know what is going on, so you express your pain the only way you know how - to cry. And no one comes. You are left in misery with no one to comfort you through your pain. How anyone can let a teething baby CIO is beyond me. Comfort your baby if they are in pain.
