Quran - Surah No. 14 ابراهيم Ayah No. 42 أَعُوذُ بِاللّٰهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ وَلَا تَحۡسَبَنَّ اللّٰهَ غَافِلًا عَمَّا يَعۡمَلُ الظّٰلِمُوۡنَ ؕ اِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمۡ لِيَوۡمٍ تَشۡخَصُ فِيۡهِ الۡاَبۡصَارُ (42) Translation: Do not think Allah is heedless of the evil deeds in which the evil-doers are engaged. He is merely granting them respite until a Day when their eyes shall continue to stare in horror,
The ME fears that a similar coup could take place in their countries therefore anyone that has influence to that effect is a potential enemy or threat, therefore qardawi's internment is understood.
They think they can get away with it but the evil and injustices perpetrated by the governments of these so- called Muslim countries will be dealt with by Allah SWT. Of that there is no doubt.
