Amy..not sure if you have heard of this however..I know you have deep rooted faith..My sister did this when she built her new house..Before painting ,she wrote her favorite beautiful scriptures on e very wall and dedicated her house to the Lord..especially scriptures including protection of her family and her home...Looking forward to seeing your lovely decorating style!!

I agree. Two other young youtubers that I follow have recently built new homes and their's are just too wide open and echo-y. Love that you are going for beiges over greys too. Grey is way overdone and 'yesterday'. Are you doing a real fireplace? Definitely more cosy and cost effective if you can cut your own wood. We have a woodstove in our kitchen and fireplace in the basement family room. They have saved our life in power outages. Gas fireplaces are EXPENSIVE to operate. Love the cow wallpaper! My husband and I built our home when we were 20 years old and we are still here 51 years later on an acre.
Love your choices for the new home!!! Also, I appreciate you mentioning a budget. There are so many UA-camrs that are building and it seems like a lot of them are buying more expensive things all the time and budget doesn't seem to be an issue. However not everyone can afford that and it seems like things get more out of reach and for that reason I'm not enjoying their videos anymore. I Love that you keep it real and down to earth. So enjoy and appreciate your videos. Keep them coming!
Another you tuber I follow when she built her home she went thru every room and wrote her most favorite bible verses onto the studs and floors and prayed over each room. I just loved that.❤

Amy, I wanted to write this when I posted about the composite decking being very slippery and to be aware, but I wrote about that and didn’t write what I initially wanted to say so here it goes. First I enjoy your channel because you are such a genuine person and that exudes from you ❤. I am much older than you and can enjoy your content because you are so genuine and beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. I can say while watching your video and the tour of your new home I felt such pride for you and your husband for being conservative in your layout of your home (not having rooms that are never used a tub that just collects dust 😂) and realizing what is most important (having family gather in love). I truly am happy for you and your family, for your new home, but mostly because you put God first and have figured out at such a young age what is truly important in this life. May God continue to Bless you and your family. ❤❤❤

We have that exact color metal roof. We weren't given the option to have a textured finish. If we had been, I would have certainly chosen it. We've had ours for about 12 years and the smooth finish does show wear that I think might be more hidden with the textured finish. I love your design so far. Can't wait to see it finished!

@@AmyFritzwe have textured finish in this last house we built. I’m on the fence because I want to do some to the “accent” walls but I’m afraid the texture will ruin it. 🤷🏻♀️
Please use the cow wallpaper in the powder room! It’s fun and bright and so different than what others do (dark and moody in powder rooms). Your floor plan is wonderful, I love the kitchen has separation from your living room yet is a great room with just the two upholstered chairs. If I had my choice I would just do a large shower but my husband loves to soak in a tub, so, with our single bath reno, the original bathroom (6x6 a very tight squeeze for a full bath) is expanding in to the hallway (6x6 and a useless hallway as it only goes to the bathroom from the bedroom hallway) and turning the original bathroom into a wet room with open shower and the tub- best of both worlds! Every choice you have made is beautiful and functional. I ask that God blessed this new home and its occupants!

I just looked for this yesterday ! I can NOT say enough about this floor plan! It’s sooo perfect! THE STAIRCASE is going to be breathtaking I can tell! Please please consider doing the transoms with some beautiful bevel or designs! Hope it becomes everything you dream of and filled with wonderful memories!

Congratulations on this new chapter. It is so much fun to plan and build a hime. My husband and I did tha same thing 18 years ago now. Wow how time flies!! There were a few a things that I wish had been pointed out so I could have made an educated decision or a decision at all. You may have already been made away and I hope you are not offended. I you might consider adding a few things (you may already be adding them). 1). Add more backing around windows so if you decide to hang curtains, you can do so without a lot of work. 2). Add electrical on your upper windows so if you decide to add blinds, you can add the ones that can be raised and lowered by remote. 3). A heat exchanger. With super high ceilings, in the winter you can have the heat that naturally rises blown back down to the living space. Major $$$ saver. My husband and I did this and I am so grateful we did. I hope this helps. Your home is lovely and is going to be amazing when done. Thanks for sharing your journey. It’s a lot of fun to watch.

I love the cow wallpaper for the powder room. It sounds perfect. It makes you giggle and that a great reason to get it.
Go with the textured metal roof. My old neighbor had the smooth and it showed so much dirt, and splotches after snow storms. It was dull in certain areas. The smooth is more of a semi gloss finish while the textured is more muted like eggshell, and I think that would look best on your country home. If I was doing a metal roof, I’d definitely do the more matte textured look! I’m so excited for you❤

I like the Williamsburg Gray roof. I used to have a smooth metal roof on my last house. I loved it. The textured sample looks really good, though. I'd never seen that option. I prefer the two lighter natural wood decking options. I had that color composite porches on my previous white house and it didn't compete at all. Wood is always going to blend in outside. The gray composite looks a little dated and not timeless to me. I like the less contrasty balzano? stone. It's less bossy and loud. I love the sage floral block wallpaper. I really love the cows too! They aren't cutsie, silly cows. They are pretty, tasteful cows. Guests will love it! Go for it!

I think the cow print wallpaper is adorable. We have cow views in my city also, and my sister sees and even hears cows from her house. She’s always collected cow decor, and it goes perfect in her current home. Just a cow here and there, and I think cows 🐄 are cute! 🐮

As the granddaughter of a dairy farmer, I think your cow wallpaper would be fun in the powder room. Go with the texted metal roof. Gray decking, do browns in the stone works. Wood tones and back in. You’ve made some great choices. Best of luck with this build. I built a house 6 years ago. It’s a process.

Addresses to go see both roof options and stone options in full size and up on another home before you select. That’s the only way to make sure you like it on a large scale. The builder or manufacturers should be able to get those addresses for you. Your floor plan and home are soooo lovely. It makes me so happy to see how excited you are about it!! ❤

Thank goodness someone is building a new home that isn’t all white and gray! Love the warm tones. I have a very similar fireplace and it is very warm and inviting. Go for the cows. It’s wallpaper it can be changed out in a few years if you change your mind.
