Plastic Scanner update - 3 new updates

Hey everyone! It's been a while since the last Plastic Scanner update, but I'm back with some exciting news:
New Prototype Arrival: The prototype from Kyle in Australia is here! I'll be working on setting it up and testing it in the coming weeks.
Laser Cutting Project: We're testing our scanner at the Technical University of Delft to help them avoid cutting PVC. This pilot will help us refine the device before we share it more widely.
Funding for New Research: We got funding from the Precious Plastic Open Source Fund to explore scanning 3D printing plastics. We'll be researching different filaments to see how well our scanner can identify them.

I'm not sure what this is but it sounds interesting and I'm glad the algorithm brought me here - is there an intro anywhere to what the 'plastic scanner' is / will be?
